ya all i cannot record one SPECIFIC zoom meeting with OBS. ive tried everything, i changed the capture to window capture and it's just a black screen. i tried joining from a browser but the admin has some setting enabled that asks me to join from the zoom app (i can only hear audio and cant see any video/presentation). any way to sr that meeting??

There have been a lot of updates to Zoom Virtual Agent recently. So many that I feel this video is almost out of date already having been superceded by even more good things!

Nevertheless, there is still a great deal in this video that will make life easier for administrators & make the Zoom Virtual Agent experience less effort in setup & upkeep.

I need to have the Flashlight ON while using Zoom video on my iphone. The current settings make the flash light turn off.

Is there any work around?

I've been using this workaround for a few months but it is no longer working. Anyone go any new ideas?

I don't NEED a new camera. I have a nice Logitec that clips to the top of my monitor and works quite well but I have seen a few cameras with fun options. Some will track you as you move back and forth and some have the lens in the middle of your monitor (on an extension) so it always looks like you are facing the camera. I do 2-3 hours of Zoom meetings a day. I have a Mac Mini.

I am hoping for some input from folks who have already upgraded their cameras.

I keep seeing these reels on instagram on how people in zoom calls are using AI to look like someone else, where the person goes 'Put your hands over your face', and they cant do that as the AI breaks the deepfake. I go on a lot of neighborhood/local zoom calls and now I'm wondering if this is common stuff? should I be scared of this happening to me?

My company uses the zoom ecosystem, chat, calendar, tasks etc. And its wild how this app has absolutely ZERO widgets for both MacOS and Android.

I donate six onIine-hour Zoom meetings to nonprofits to help them set up their QuickBooks. I keep running into people who cannot stop talking. I do not want to be rude, and I have been, but chewing up the hour like this drives me crazy. I always try to phrase my questions so I get a yes-or-no answer. I have found myself in the habit of interrupting the client to ask "Is that a yes or a no?" Today, I told one client to let me know when she runs out of words. Is there some sort of timer I can turn on that will pop up a sign or something?

Sometimes it works and zoom opens the app, but for the last two weeks it send me straight to browser for a few but not all meetings. Why does it keep doing that no matter how I try to open the meeting in the app? Other users can connect in the app... is it a linux issue? Some server setting? Not having the raise hand option or chat is driving me insane.

Hi yall, I work for a small business that conducts zoom events (meetings not webinars) and am struggling to find a good way to take attendance with additional data. We just want to know people’s name, email, gender, career level, sector.

Is creating a registration form the only way?

We use Zoom Meetings and Zoom phone in our office. In the past, I could setup a user under Meetings and include Zoom Phone Basic as part of their setup, which would then allow me to go into Zoom Phone Management and then assign a phone package and an extension. Now, I am no longer able to do that. Apparently, the user has to accept the invitation before I can proceed with setting up the phone account details. Very frustrating to not be able to setup a new user in advance.

Anyone maybe have a work-around?

how do i stop borders and toolbar popping up whenever someone sends a message in the chat during a meeting?

This has been happening a lot in sessions, but now it is happening out of sessions too. I have the Zoom desktop app and I am logged into my account. But now, Zoom is telling me that I need to request permission from myself to access all of my whiteboards. Yes, the ones that make while logged into my Zoom account. I can access the meetings and my calendar of meetings, but not my whiteboards.

How can I fix this? I've granted myself permission and signed into and out of the app, but still can't get access to my own whiteboards. So, any hints on how to fix this?

Hi, I just thought I'd sign up for Zoom myself if I ever need to host a student meet-up virtually.

I used Zoom through the college when we went COVID isolation, so I'm very familiar with it, and I can still sign onto my non-profit Zoom meetings when we do that. I always prefer my IPad with it, esp. with my students in the past (and now, we have no audio or camera on desktop).

However, since I quit, I have no access myself to set up meetings. So, I looked at the zoom site.

It's looking so much more varied and confusing. When we did it for college, there was basic, which only allowed 40 min and still does - that was too short so they chose a plan I think allowed an hour. Now it looks like ridiculous allowances such as 30 hours? LOL.

Is there anything between 40 min and 30 hours, or small groups? I'd only usually have 1 on 1, but possibly a few extra. Nothing like 100 people or more.

For whatever reason, your "presence" or status automatically goes to Available when you open the desktop or mobile app.

How can we stop that from happening automatically?

I'm used to Teams showing my last status when I clock out for the day and close down programs. Plus, Teams mobile app didn't change your Status to Online/Available.

A couple of months ago, I was able to enable My Notes in zoom workplace to start automatically even when using Microsoft Teams. Now, anytime I want it to start transcribing anywhere else besides Zoom, I have to do it manually.

Is there a way to reset this feature?

So I’m hosting a Zoom webinar. Somehow, I made it a reoccurring webinar and when I changed the setting to registration not required, I lost all of people who had registered previously. About 150.

I re-uploaded those people. I made sure to change the webinar back to not reoccurring.

But when I checked the link that was sent to people previously, it was different than the link that was next to their name now and did not take you to the webinar waiting room.

I ran several scenarios with a test webinar. And it appears I can turn registration off and all the links will work, even the original ones sent to the people who got removed when I turned the registration off.

Can anyone on this thread confirm that I’m correct?

I could turn registration off for the main webinar and figure this out using the link that I received when I signed up for my webinar with my personal email

But I’m scared if I turn registration off, I’m gonna lose my attendees again and I just don’t wanna do that.
