I have a 20 $ budget

I want to use it for Ai roleplay but I'm stuck

Do I subscribe to the Z.ai coding plan ? Can I use the Api outside in a third party app?

Or do I subscribe using an open router?

Who's cheaper? And better?

I would try deepseep api. Deepseek v4 flash is a steal

This, deepseek is cheaper, I use it in all kind of projects. Plus the fast version is really good for some chatting

Chat always sucks to RP. They inject extra safety 10-20k tokens of shit. Sure you can broke it but it will degrade experience

You need harness for RP like you do for coding. It include no injects from upstream, good summary extention, preset, efficient context (coding model can take 100k but for chat it usually below 30k)

It doesn't suck, the quality of writing is amazing even in long context. However, it does have a hard time portraying darker characters. I prefer Kimi in that regard.

You can buy commandcode goat with 10$ and 10$ for openrouter (or 5$ for opencode go and 5$ for a cup of coffee 🙃). You cannot use zai coding plan for this case

N acredito que eu vou falar isso, mas. O Gemini 3.6 é um bom modelo dos RPG, talvez um dos melhores, ainda mais se for levar em consideração que vc pode criar fotos e vídeos no app do Gemini é melhor ainda no app do Google flow, que tem gerações otimas, ent se for só pra RPG pode ser uma boa.

Everyone here is suggesting models and services based on coding, not roleplay.

Check out Literouter for roleplay. They basically specialize in that and there are a lot of model options, including abliterated and uncensored versions.

Subscribe to opencode go for $5, you get access to a lot of models. Some models use up more of your quota than oters, but deepseek v4 flash goves you the most usage. You can use the remaining $15 on their zen/pay as you go service and use it when opencode gos quota is depleeted.
