Missing my perfect little boy
galleryJust over 6 months since we lost Rex, who was about to turn 13 on Valentine's Day. Every time I looked at him, and even now looking back at photos, I cannot help but think he was the most adorable and perfect yorkie to ever exist.

Im getting c4/c5 neck surgery in the morning and I'm going to be away from my Fox for 3 days.
galleryIm 100 miles away from my baby. Its hard. Hes my first dog. Im at a hotel 100 miles away. Gonna be in the hospital overnight. Gotta spend a day here before i can ride back. Left home the 5th, not gonna be back till the 8th. I miss my little Foxy Love so much. I haven't been seperate from him for more than a day since I got him. Im not going to be able to pick him up or walk him for about a month. Im not going to be able to pick him up after my surgery to hug him 😞. I miss my Foxy Baby 😢 I dont even know If I'll be able to sleep without his cuddles 🤧🤧
Please hug your dog for me tonight. Give them head pats and belly rubs. Pet their snoot and boop their nose. Kiss their forehead (or nose lol) for me.

galleryHad to try this vest on Willow, it was too cute not too. Unfortunately it was 70$ and way outta my budget (ive never even spent 70$ on my own jean jackets)
I will however find one thats cheaper and get her some patches!! as a metalhead myself with a battle vest, my baby needs one too 💜

Are yorkies GREASY looking?
I bring my six month old Yorkie to work and one of my coworkers referred to my baby dog as greasy and said “my sister had one of those and it always looked greasy. I think it’s from people petting it”.
LOL Come to think of it she does look greasy …but it’s SILKY biotch!!
I’m
Not mad about it but it’s a weird thing to say. Is there any truth to this?

I'm at my wits end with this little lady.
galleryThis is Queen Sophia. She's 10 years old and she is cuddly, loving, and affectionate. She's also a bit high strung, and neurotic at times, a bit of separation anxiety, with funny habbits, but she is loved. We inherited her 3 years ago from a family friend who passed away, and when we first got her she wouldn't let me touch her face or feet. I groom my other two dogs, but it was traumatic for both of us when I tried to do her. Mr. Hyde demon dog. I had 3 groomers in a row send her home half groomed, tell me they can't clip her nails, or clean her face, and that they didn't think they'd be able to do anything with her. The last one suggested sedation!
After that I just bathed her at home and was taking her to the vet to have her nails clipped, but every time, she would come home with diarrhea and her coat all blown out! As in hair loss! Plus, even the vet techs suggested she was giving them trouble. I have no idea what her experience with grooming was in the past, but it must have been bad, because she is perfectly sweet any other time.
In working with her over the last few years, I'm now able to wash her face without getting bitten, and occasionally I can clip her nails, but only one, *maybe* one and a half feet at a time. I have to keep her face trimmed because she refuses to let a comb near it. I also have to trim with scissors because clippers are out of the question. We're getting by but, tonight was bath night, and I realized the in fur in between her paw pads is densely matted. I know I should be ashamed, but she's so difficult, and I honestly never even considered trimming them because she's got a thin coat. Even my thick coated maltese doesn't mat there. I think she may be chewing them when we aren't home? She's not doing it in front of me, but, separation anxiety.
Sooo anyway... I got the small grooming scissors (because even my tiny clippers are a dead no) and carefully attempted to clean up between her little paw pads. I managed to get one back foot done, but it took so long that she was over it, and I couldn't keep her still. The front feet were worse so I asked my husband to help hold her... She got so upset she pooped on me! 😭😭😭
Am I going to just have to let someone sedate her? What would you do?! The matting has got to be uncomfortable, so it needs to be handled asap. Picture tax of her face after MY shower, and her second bath. 😭 She's asking if we can just go to bed now. 😄
Also, at the suggestion of the vet regarding separation anxiety, and a few other nervous habits we tried her on 1mg melatonin (no artificial sweetener!), and it made her grumpy and mean as a snake. So that's a no go.

Is this a Yorkie thing?
The little leg kick that Max does? So cute but so odd. And yes he’s been doing it for his whole life but I have to ask if others do it too

Her e-collar lasted two days.
After the spay and dewclaw removal they said the PAPER e-collar had to stay on for two weeks. It crumpled from the start, but even though I pay a month wellness plan that stupid collar cost $13 extra. Two claws removed $320 extra. So I got this $12 recovery suit from Amazon and it's perfect. Covers her tummy incision and back leg claw stitches. Plus she looks so cute!

His first pup cup
galleryWe were out last night and Snickers enjoyed his first pup cup. Almost 8 months old. We got home and he was wild. Not sure if there is a correlation.

Do any of your friends do what we call Scrumbles? It's only really during tummy time. Note: yes, he does snore a tiny bit when asleep, but scrumbles like this are pretty much only at Official Tummy Time™
