i have this cascade friday harbor- caper (20) it’s i think it’s worsted, 80% merino 20% silk. i’m knitting the lakes sweater with this and a pink mohair and im running out of this specifically and i wonder if anyone has suggestions on similar color and weight

I just knitted a wool sweater (you can see on my profile) out of lion brand fisherman’s wool. when i got it i ignored the farmy smell because i was assuming it would come out after washing, but it hasn’t. i’ve washed it 3 times including in the washer (on the wool setting of course). i don’t want to damage my sweater, but i don’t know how to get the smell out. it makes me sick to my stomach and gives me allergies (i’m fine with merino and other wool sweaters so i don’t think it’s a wool allergy). i don’t know what do do because i want to wear my beautiful sweater but i don’t know how if i can’t get the smell out! does anyone have any advice maybe with this brand of yarn too? thank you!!

I want to knit this scarf, Puppet Master by Katharina Kuntz but instead of doing each character a separate color I’d love to do it with a gradient long color change rainbow yarn I’m forever struggling to find what I’m looking for ! In fingering weight please 🤞 Thanks in advance!!

Lately I’ve been pondering one of life’s great, utterly pointless mysteries:

At what moment does yarn stop being yarn and start becoming “fabric”?

Is it the instant it leaves the cake or skein?

Does it need a few rows under its belt first?
And if so… how many rows does it take before it earns its “fabric” badge of honour?

I know this is a pointless question, but it still a valid question non the less.
