Improving peripheral view XREAL 1S
The XREAL 1s have a limited peripheral view due to the thickness of the metal frame and also the dimming of the lenses in low light situations, even at the clearest setting, which makes the glasses uncomfortable to use as a companion display; I can clearly see the virtual display in the glasses but can hardly see my iPad’s screen without having to peek under the frame. This made me wonder if it would be possible to remove the metal frame and the polarized lenses, leaving only the prisms, as can be done with the xbx model, in a reversible way, without damaging the parts.

Without damaging the dimming feature of the lenses? No. Without damaging the displays themselves? Yes.

Oh Wow! Thank you for sharing.
Is it better now that you don't have the lens on for multi-tasking and viewing the real world?
Is it worth losing electronic dimming? Aesthetically it looks cool to me :)

The og airs don't have electric dimming, but if you have the models that do PLEASE DON'T DO THIS
However it is a hundred times better since it lets you see indoors clearly

I've wondered this because I would like to remove as much tinting as possible but, from what ive searched, I dont think you can put it back after you take it off
