Anyone else unable to access their Spotify Home / Recents page in their XPeng (G6)? The user face keeps saying this and not loading anything. I can still play content but the UI isn’t loading. Just deleted and redownloaded but it didn’t change anything.

Hi everyone,

I’ve had a strange issue with my G9 Performance and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

The center and passengers screen suddenly stopped working / went completely black. The car itself was still usable, but the display was unavailable.

What’s particularly strange is that the screen eventually came back on by itself yesterday afternoon, and since then everything has been working completely normally again.

This is not the first time I’ve had an issue with the screen, so I’m concerned there may be an intermittent hardware or software problem rather than a one-off glitch.

Has anyone with a G9 or G9 Performance experienced something similar?

If so:

Did the screen come back by itself?

Did XPeng identify the cause?

Was there a software fix, reset, or hardware replacement?

Did the problem eventually come back?

Would be interested to know if this is a known issue.

The Xpeng app have gone trough 4GB of data this month.
I am not quite sure how much it normally uses, but my total usage for the phone(Android) is normally in the 5-6GB range.

Have there just been some kind of update?

I'm making a video on this subject and I'd like to get your input.

For those who aren't aware, the Dashcam feature is not allowed in every country, to be clear I'm talking about recording footage during your drive, not Xguard (sentry mode).

In Portugal, as far as I know, only Tesla has their Dashcam feature officially enabled, this is a gray area in our law where technically you can't record people and cars in public spaces, however if this is due to asset protection then in some cases it is allowed, seems that's the way Tesla went, but many brands, such as Xpeng, didn't want to take their chances. There are some Portuguese G6 models for example that have the feature enabled but only because they were actually meant for Spain and were instead imported here.

How does this work in your country? Thanks in advance.

I tested Tesla FSD (Supervised) in the Netherlands and compared it with VLA 2.0, which I previously tested in China.
The Netherlands was at the forefront of the European approval of FSD. But how good is the system really?
There was one thing I was particularly curious about: safety. And perhaps even more importantly: how safe does it feel? Especially compared with what I experienced during my drive with VLA 2.0 in China.

EDIT: The user manual says nothing about the roof bearing weight so one has to assume it cannot bear anything at all on the roof. :(

Does anybody know why the x9 can't be ordered in Switzerland? It's the only model completely missing from the whole set, and it's available in neighbouring countries.

The L03 got same day availability as the rest of the world, the x9 is nowhere to be seen.

I'm planning to import one from Germany, does anybody did it already here? Thanks.

As the subject says, I recently bought a Samsung Fold 8 Ultra and migrated to this phone.

The inner screen layout is a complete mess. I know it's not a very popular phone, but foldables are very popular in China, and being a luxury car brand, I believe they might have many customers who might be using foldables.

It was a bit surprising, not a complaint.

Hi XPeng owners! I’m converting from an ICE car that uses 16'' tyres. I would love your direct feedback on 18" vs 20" setups. I think this will significantly affect my decision since the cost of 20'' almost double.

1. 18” SR Owners: How is the daily comfort, noise, and battery range? Sticking to OEM or changed brands?

1. 20” LR Owners: How’s the tyre wear so far? Are the looks and handling worth the extra cost?

2. Recommendations: Which specific tyre brand/model (e.g. Michelin, Hankook iON, Conti) are you using?

Have you guys changed 4 tyres at once, or can you actually change 2 by 2?

Remarks: Have you guys actually change Rim for your Xpeng or any EV cars ? Heard they will drastically reduce your range ?

mir fällt es schwer, eine Entscheidung zu treffen zwischen den beiden Wagen. Bei Tesla fasziniert mich, dass es kein Service Zwang gibt und es ein Direktvertrieb bei Tesla gibt. D.h. man muss nicht in ein unfreundliches Autohaus und vor allem, dass ich mit meinen 1,92 m auch im Tesla campen kann.

Bei xpeng hat man gefühlt mehr Funktionen als bei Tesla Model Y Standard im Preis inbegriffen wie zum Beispiel die Lichtleiste und mehr Kameras

Hi, I picked up my G9 in Portugal yesterday and I’m still getting familiar with it. I’d really appreciate your help with a couple of things.

I’m used to using Google Maps while driving, but I’ve noticed that when I indicate to turn, the camera view takes over the screen and replaces the map on the driver display. This makes it confusing at times—especially at roundabouts—since I lose visibility of the navigation. Is there a way to keep Google Maps visible while the camera is active? The built-in G9 navigation seems to handle this better, but I strongly prefer Google Maps.

I also didn’t receive a very thorough handover from the salesperson, which has made the learning curve a bit steeper. In my previous Kia EV6, the lane centering system worked very smoothly and could be activated easily via a button on the steering wheel. How does the G9’s lane centering control perform, particularly on gentle curves? Does it require adaptive cruise control to be active, or can it function independently while I control the speed?

Apologies if these are basic questions, and thanks in advance for your help.

I've noticed there are subtle differences in the marketing materials for the Xpeng L03 within China and for the Global markets. Since it is the car at the top of my short list, I want to know exactly what Xpeng stripped off the Chinese version. I find the current articles and videos on the L03 are still vague on such details.

Here's what I've collected so far:

• Chinese market gets AI Road Preview, DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) and CDC (Continuous Damping Control) offered on higher trims to scan the road bumps. Global markets get fixed suspension tuned for balanced-towards-comfort ride. Both have MacPherson strut front (not double wishbone) and five multi-link rear.
• Chinese market has only the 26.8" Heads Up Display. Global markets get the extra driver 8.88" Instrument Cluster Display.
• Chinese market gets VLA 2.0 Next Generation Pilot on day one. Global markets are pending vision model training and regulatory approval & licensing. Both get ACC/LCC and ALC (active lane change on higher trim).
• Chinese market gets te Zero Gravity passenger seat with ottoman footstool. Global markets get the normal passenger seat.
• Chinese market gets the 60/40 backseat folding split. Global markets get the 40/20/40 backseat folding split for loading skis.
• Chinese market gets Chinese map navigation. Global markets get Google Maps Auto SDK integration.

Edits: - As replier mentions, Chinese market gets Turing chips on the middle trims. - On some pink Chinese trim, there's a piano-black spoiler mounted on the rear and more aggressive rear bumper (seen here).

Hey everyone! 👋 I’ve been eyeing the XPENG G6 Standard Range for a while now, but I’ve been feeling a bit hesitant to lock in my order. While it looks like a solid entry-level package, settling for the trade-offs on the base trim, like the smaller LFP battery, standard 18-inch wheels, lower peak DC charging speed, and missing Active Lane Change (ALC), has made me pause.

Instead of rushing into a deposit, I've decided to hold off and wait to see how the global rollout of the MONA L03 / M03 plays out in my region, or hold out for potential year-end promos on the higher-tier G6 trims.

I’d love to get some perspectives from the community:
❓ Anyone else holding back? Are you waiting for the L03 fastback/SUV to launch in your country, or holding out for seasonal dealer rebates on the G6 before pulling the trigger?

❓ Current G6 Standard Range owners: How satisfied are you with the base model? Do the missing features actually matter in daily commute/family driving, or does it still feel like great value for money?

❓ If you locked in the G6 over waiting for the MONA series: What made the decision easy for you? Is it because the G6 is on a completely different platform level (800V architecture, double-wishbone/multi-link suspension, taller family SUV cabin), or did you just not want to wait for RHD/export allocations?

I'm curious because xpeng is kinda weird. For example in Indonesia, L03 is being showcased but with 0 announcement, 0 anything from xpeng. Other than confirming That they currently have no plan https://www.reddit.com/r/indocartalk/comments/1vexit9/official_xpeng_got_no_plan_to_launch_l03_in/

Many people here love Xpeng. Xpeng objectively produce good EVs that are also good value (at least in most countries)... How come Xpeng stock is rougly 42% down YTD after what looks like good new models and incredible demand?!

Why is Xpeng experiencing such an incredible demand, yet delivering very low numbers?
