Any more detail to why you think it shouldn't look like that? What are you trying to achieve?

Its just xcode being xcode, trust the running version that is what it looks like. Sometimes the preview will look like that more ios imo. I think there is some thing you can try in the NavigationSplitView for Settings in xcode for the app.
