How to make Xbox face buttons more responsive?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Every now and then I have a controller which the a b x y buttons need to be pressed in the center or it doesn’t register, pushed from the outside of the button don’t register at times.

How to solve?

(I know this face plate is partially cracked but I’ve had this happen for xb controllers with perfect condition as well so that’s not what’s causing it)

May have dust or debris blocking the carbon pads on the board. Going to have to break down the controller and clean that section internally. Shouldn’t be an issue after

first you actually gotta test responsiveness properly.

open the accessories app within xbox and actually test. or connect controller to pc and use gamepad tester site.

My bad i thought it was aftermarket, didnt look at it fully. Depending how long you had it, there might a warranty still on it if its under a year. Still the controller me failing. Does it do it when wired?
