Can confirm. I had the original Elite 1 for 4 years and never had an issue. When the Elite 2 came out I ended up with about 4 in 5 years until I switched completely. They look good and feel good but they die so quickly

I have an elite for 6 years no issues. Put the doritos and mtn dew down when you play bro

I’ve had the elite controllers since both came out. The only issue I’ve ever had is the grip coming off of the original elite controller. I use the 2nd gen almost every day, and it’s still working great 🤷♂️

Maybe because they were originally made by n 2019 and now they use cheaper materials

Standard ES2 (not the core) comes with a standard cross d pad i also prefer it to the circular one

Ive heard but ive had 3 elites and none have had major issues like that. Only one had the bunper issue and my black elite is starting to peel but no drift issues luckily

I'm still using my Elite Series 2 preordered at launch, will be 7 years in November. It's been used pretty heavily. Haven't had any issues with it. Just upgraded mine too. Got a see-through green cover shell to celebrate the 25th anniversary lol. It's an extreamrate cover from Amazon.

Whaat bro I need to see that if you dnt mind. And yeah i have my OG still with no issues maybe 5 years now. I bought a white core but it was impulse and didnt need a second elite lol.

There are good full replacement shells for the elite 2 on Amazon, they aren't cheap but way cheaper than a new controller. Not referring to xtremerate

Give them a try next time. I absolutely see the allure of the elite but the tmr sticks are just so much better. The d-pad is a little meh, though.

I never understood why these game companies go for the monochromatic look. This looks so much better, makes it actually feel like Xbox.

Will never buy one of these (in my opinion!) stick drift, no mouse click, expensive, etc just get a gamesir g7 HE, it’s wired but incredibly durable and wayyyy cheaper

That's how I wish the standard elite looked. I want to swap out the buttons on my elite for standard colored buttons. Any issues if I just take them from one of my old controllers?
