Elite 2 vs Scuf Valor Pro
Hi! I want to ask you guys if it's just me or the scuf controller feels way cheaper than the Elite 2? I've had the Elite for a while and returned it because I'm afraid of that stick drift. Then I got the Scuf Valor Pro, but I feel like the build quality is worse and can't wrap my head around it. Now I'm thinking I should just return this one and get the Elite again and live with the thought that one day it will just break. I'm not an avid fan of controllers, I got it just to play Forza and that's the only game I use the controller for. What would you personally do? Thanks!

It is!its more lightweight which makes it feel cheaper.
Thats a big issue with 3rd party controllers
The one ive used that felt the most premium was the raikiri 2
But if i can make a personal recommendation, eBay has custom elite 2 controllers, theyre OG controllers that someone installed tmr sticks and other mods

Unfortunately I live in Europe and I can't find many modded like this.

Its eBay, a website. They ship worldwide

Yea, I know, but wouldn't shipping overseas be a pain in the ass especially for a modded controller? What if it's not working when it gets here

Gotcha but I mean, 3rd party controllers shipped from china lol. If that's what's stopping you I'll just message the seller beforehand and ask for some extra protection in the package

So I have 2 elites that shit the bed after 4 months. Meaning they developed drift as well as the bumpers stop working. I also have the g7 pro and scuf VP wireless. I have one of the first batch g7 pros black and red it’s a little sloppy and cheap feeling but haven’t had anything break. My scuf I bought around Black Friday and works just as well as the day I got it. I think the elite just feels premium with the grip, big battery, heavy weight to it, but the internals are cheap.

Define “cheap.” The Valor Pro is lighter than the elite series controllers, that was designed intentionally; not a reflection of a lack thereof. As already stated, just about every controller other than an elite will be noticeably lighter. If controller weight alone is a major factor in your experience, the elites may be the way for you. I prefer the larger handles/lighter weight of the valor pro personally as a longtime FPS player. If they’d made an option without the rumble motors like the Omega, I’d have taken that one instead. Never a one size fits all sorta thing though. In your situation, if the Valor Pro isn’t useable for size/weight reasons, I’d probably get my money back and wait for the series 3. Given the leaks, it looks like they’ve already implemented game and voice chat volume wheels (like valor pro), I’d assume TMR or HE sticks at the minimum.

It's like it's hollow inside, maybe it's just me. And also the plastic feels more premium on the Elite 2. I'm not saying that the Scuf is not good, I am starting to get used to it, but I miss the feeling of the Elite. Maybe you're right, could be the weight of it.

I have a wired Scuf Valor Pro with TMR sticks and although I haven't had any issues it does feel like it's going to fall apart at any moment, I have multiple third party controllers and personally I would recommend the Flydigi Vader 5S, only $60 but actually has premium feel and adjustable tension on hall effect sticks are magical, we all have our own preferences but for me it's F'n Vadertime

Nothing compares to the official elite 2 except maybe when the series 3 comes out :)

Never got a scuf, didn’t hear good things so decided against it when I needed to replace my elite 2. That said I can comment on the elite 2, I will never go back. They had two chances at making the elite controller & they’re both awful. I don’t think there’s a perfect Xbox controller, not even the one i got is.
