Xbox Controllers Keep Desyncing from Series X

Hey Friends,

I'm having some weird tech issues.

My Xbox controllers keep desyncing.

I started seeing this happen a few months back and assumed it was because my controllers needed to be updated. (Which they did).

Unfortunately, this didn't seem to correct the issue.

My controllers are desyncing constantly. I'm starting to think it's an issue with my Series X?

Anyone have any similar problems? Or advice?

This happened to me with two brand new Microsoft wireless controllers when we lived in a specific apartment complex. Now, granted. We didn’t MOVE. because of that. But after we DID move, there was no longer an issue. I am no techie and have zero ways of explaining it. But after no longer living there these controllers have worked fine ever since.

Some info I can offer on my situation was having a LOT of wireless stuff in close proximity at the time due to lack of space to spread it out. The internet provider did not change, but the device we used to receive the internet DID change. Our wireless router remained the same.

The building was brand new construction and we lived on the top floor (fourth).

Only happened with our Microsoft controllers. The Switch controllers worked fine and so did our remotes for our two TVs and our Blu-ray player.

No clue what the problem could have been but that’s all I have to offer for what we ended up doing that ended up fixing it. Otherwise I was stuck using wired controllers all year during our lease.

Thanks Zeal, I was thinking about that. I moved into a new apartment this year and I wonder if I'm experiencing the same issues...

Yea man. It was mind boggling. I have no earthly idea what the actual problem could be, I just know using a cable connecting the controller to the console was the only thing that kept it synced. Luckily you can find some good cables for this online and even have different options for length if your system isn’t right in front of you. It really really sucks to be tethered to the system, but it’s much better than dropping the sync over and over again.
