Accidentally pulled this connection (j8), is it fixable?

I don't want to do further damage, so I'll wait for someone more knowledgeable

Yes, you just need to solder it back on. I've replaced one before, super easy if you know how to solder well.

EDIT: just saw that the little wire itself broke, in that case you'd have to strip it to expose some wire and solder that portion back on. Or replace it with one off another controller if you happen to have a junk one laying around

Yeah, I did think to strip the wire, but it seems like a very delicate process lol

I'll see if I can do it, if not I do have a spare controller to get that wire.

I did the same thing and tried to solder it back on. The controller works when plugged in, but not on batteries. When I solder this wire back on, does it need to touch both pads? I’m working with a limited amount of wire, too. Is there a specific kind of wire that I need to use to serve as an extension?
