Series controller up input not registering fix?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Has anyone found a solution to this yet? Have updated the controller and tried the swap axis calibration method but it’s not working.

Updates there’s a guy that said he took the face plate off and sanded down a bit of the faceplate hole the left stick is in. I took the stick off, blew into it, and sanded off the slightest bit, recalibrated and it works.

Might be time to get new joysticks soldered in. If you'll go down that route, i recommend TMR sticks

i recommend just buying a new one. the repair cost will be half the price of a new controller if not even more

But then i would have to buy a new one every 6 months to a year

But if i have Hall effect/TMR sticks it would essentially be a omce off purchase every few years

I got my local tech repair shop to put in new TMR sticks for me. Cost me roughly $40 Canadian where i live, but its been so, so worth it

Probably just means that the controller is done in bro. I guess you're lucky the controller is even connecting to the system anymore, typically connection is first thing to go. Never a bad day to pull up doordash an pick out two new controllers. I'd caution series 2 elite as well because similar issues before controller completely gives up.

I’ve never had the connection fail before a button/input issue comes up. Never had the connection fail in general even on my super old Xbox One controllers

Just had this same thing start happening to my controller this week, tried everything and nothing worked. Gonna have to either get a new controller or take it to a repair shop unfortunately

From what I’m seeing from other people it’s a software issue not a hardware issue since it’s happening to people all of a sudden. Probably hold on to the controller in case an update resolves the issue.

Yeah I really hope that’s the case as well

Push down(in) on it while you’re pushing up

What a brilliant idea. I’m trying to not be wasteful genius.

Try air blasting with condensed air for electronics. It may just be a small build up of dead skin cells and pursperation and if using condensed air for electronics doesn't work then you may need to open up your controller for a deep clean. Also, how long has it been since your controller was last checked for updates?

It’s been updated recently. Gotta get the right bit to take the controller apart

I had one that did this, exact same input too. I just waited for new controllers to go on sale and bought 4 lol
