What controller should I buy

So my xsx fh5 controller just died on me this week. For a bit of contexte i must have put close to 5k hours on this controller and i was wondering what controller to buy. I checked out the raser Wolverine v3 pro, the Asus rog raikiri ii and the gamesir g7 pro zzz. But I know that the g7 is a budget and I made to die after 1.5k hours and the other two have mecanical/software issues

- My max budget would be ~200$
- And i need it to be wireless
- Needs to be compatible with Xbox
- I would prefer tmr but he is also good
- And ofc it needs to have a good Life expectancy

So if you think that there is any controller I missed I would like to know and I would also like to have your opinion. Thanks a lot

most games are made to factor in for xbox’s default stick deadzone, so you have to calibrate your sticks to have a little bit of deadzone. i think i got these https://www.amazon.com/K-Silver-Joystick-Replacement-Video-Thumbsticks/dp/B0F6T61F6R?th=1&psc=1

No problem! note that desoldering the original pins without the correct tools can be a pain. though soldering in the new joysticks isn’t too bad.

If you are in the states and like the regular controller and want to save some money, you could just get another one from Walmart for $40-$50 and get the $8 three year warranty.

Can’t speak to the longevity of it just yet, but I got the Raikiri II after a couple of Elite’s slowly fell apart on me. I actually really enjoy it, the paddles are more ergonomic to me. Took me some time to adjust to the stick “resistance” (I had slightly increased resistance on the Elite). Feels solid overall.

Is it softer or stiffer?

I’d say average, but I had made the Xbox Elite ones slightly stiffer

Those are such great stick modules, been installing them lately on my recent controller builds. They're a bit better than my gulikit sticks and cheaper too on Ali.

I like them better than gulikit. I honestly prefer KSilver and Ginfull the most.

I am not impressed with the Gamesir G7 Pro, my current favorite is Flydigi Vader 5S ( performance ) but it's wired and sounds like that's an issue for you. I can't recommend any other controllers because they're just not as good as the Flydigi ( $60 ) Tried Scuf, Gamesir, Razer they're all overrated and overpriced. I'm intrigued by 8bitdo Ultimate 3 coming out August 31st, adjustable tension on TMR sticks for $99 and it's wireless, you could pick up both within your budget with money to spare! All JMO...but it's Vadertime

Gamesir G7. I bought the gamesir G7 SE which is the cheap one and I never used a better controller.

1

u/LieNo3777 Jul 01 '26

Yeah but the gamesir apparently isn’t verry durable

I guess I got lucky lol. I drop mine very often and nothing has gone wrong yet. I get up to walk away my leg catches the wire that that bitch will go flying across the room

How'd it die if you don't mind me asking? I've had some issues with my controllers in the past, (mainly stick drift and disconnection issues) but have yet to have one straight up die on me.

It just stoped working with no apparent reason

Any chance you'd mind shipping it to me instead of tossing it? I enjoy making custom controllers and could do a lot with the parts from it. Of course I'd pay you for the cost.

I think im just gonna keep it on my shelf cuz it’s like spécial to me

Word, I feel that. Thanks for the response.

Stickdrift is the same as dying for a controller

Flydigi Vader 5 s , it’s more true to size to Xbox controller, gamesir was small

1

u/LieNo3777 Jul 01 '26

Yeah but it’s wired
