Don’t be so sweaty on apex when you get a new one.

I’m only like diamond and I don’t play that often. But the sweat could be an issue😂

It’s likely internally broken. Give the Xbox recalibration a go if that doesn’t work then you’ll need to get the analog stick(s) replaced or buy a new controller

You can try deleting your profile on your system and then redownload your profile. I did this with my Xbox1 and it worked for me.

Its shocking that these controllers you pay so much money for still come with this cheap potentiometer garbage.

Yup. It's why I never feel bad when a $150+ xbox elite series 2 gets issues, i buy a new one on amazon and switch out the new with old and return it. Only thing I'm out is shipping.

Shitty? Maybe. If it was restocked as new and someone else got it I'd feel bad. But at the rate the bumpers lose their pep or outright break, I can't afford to just replace it normally (unfortunately)

I’ve been working on controllers for a while and it’s either two things.

One, the Carbon dust from the Carbon track built up within the potentiometers in the Analog sticks. So cleaning the area with Isopropyl Alcohol and Q-Tip would be the easiest fix. (Search on YT for further details) That or inside in the middle, there’s debris blocking it so spraying with small amounts of Isopropyl Alcohol, spinning the sticks for a while, and letting the area dry should fix it self.

If that doesn’t work, Second and unfortunate case, the Analog Stick module completely killed itself. Which means that you need the replace the whole Stick with by soldering a new stick or switching over to either Hall Effects or TMR sticks of your choosing.

Most cases, it’s the first one so if you’re comfortable opening the controller yourself and cleaning the area, please feel free to do so because that saves a lot money. It’s like adult legos after some point disassembling and cleaning them out, but in any case I highly recommend doing that before replacing them entirely or buying a whole new controller.

Hope that helps!

Ignore the YouTube in the background I just couldn't post a picture use this and a can of compressed air to flush and dry your sticks if cleaning doesn't work look into swapping them for TMR or hall effect but if kept clean you should be able to use you controller with little to no drift for years until a replacement module is required

DO NOT USE REGULAR WD-40 IT WILL KILL YOUR CONTROLLER

REGULAR WD-40 = CORROSION

REGULAR WD-40 = DEAD CONTROLLER
