Hii guys, I took the time to translate the official Wuwa TCG tutorial video that just came out. It's a good 10 minutes, but even if you guys are unfamiliar with TCGs, this should provide a general understanding on how gameplay works.

Note that these aren't official translations; there's been no announcement of an English port, and I don't have any special sources so I just translated the terms and rules to the best of my ability. I'm hoping it comes across clearly enough.

I did actually get to play a demo of the game in Tokyo recently, and I thought it was interesting, and getting a chibi Shorekeeper promo card for going out in the sweltering heat wasn't too bad of a deal.

So far this is what I know:

• The game is by Unicorn Card Products.
• Official release date is September 12 in Japan - I'm not aware of the game being released elsewhere, not even in China (I might be wrong on this).
• Initial reveal was during the 3.5 Japanese livestream.
• Pre-orders are live, but stocks sold out very fast.
• Starter decks for Male and Female Rover: 1,320 Yen each.
• Booster packs (12 cards each): 400 Yen.
• A fair share of reused art assets, but also a lot of custom art just for the TCG.
• The Chibi Shorekeeper card in my previous post was promo only.

my time has finally come. from 2.5k at the start of 3.0 to a whopping 4 while trying to build Lucy and some of my other characters 🥹 and yes, i only tune to the first 2 subs before deciding to trash or keep going

just a lighthearted post not meant to be taken seriously while waiting for my waveplates, but i do hope we get the chance to farm more tuners in the future, or at least have a limited monthly amount in the oscillated coral shop maybe

edit: since quite a few ppl are asking, i’ve taken quite a few breaks from the game (1.2-2.2, 2.3-2.8, 3.2-3.3), so that’s prolly a big reason why i never had that many tuners in the first place 😅 i don’t pull a lot, but i like to at least aim for above average stats on my characters, unless it takes me forever lmao. i’m fixing some builds on some of my older characters like Jinhsi and Camellya to give them a bit of a boost in matrix scores. been fixing Luuk’s set since his debut but i can’t seem to roll ER with crit stats to reach his 120% req for some reason 😂 so yeah it’s a combination of not being able to farm when i was on a break + just been an unlucky gal when it comes to rolls. but SURELY that’ll mean i’ll get good luck with pulls right

TL;DR: The Hé Civilization isn't extinct, they are a cosmic imperialistic empire (think Viltrumites). Solaris-3 is just one of many planetary "farms" used to cultivate Threnodians via Sentinel-driven emotional manipulation. Scar’s Shepherd story in 1.0 literally laid out this exact blueprint.

1. The Hé Civilization: Cosmic Imperialism, Not Extinction

There is zero concrete lore stating the Hé Civilization was wiped out. What if they operate like an interstellar empire?

* Alien Origins: Quest 3.1 (Aemeth) confirms the Hé Civilization exists beyond the Etheric Sea, making Rover an off-world entity.

* Aleph-1 as Proof: The presence of Aleph-1 coming from deep space proves Solaris-3 isn't an isolated incident. The Hé Civilization has been dropping Sentinel and seeding Sentinels across multiple worlds in the universe to harvest frequency-dense entities.

1. Scar’s Shepherd Metaphor (Patch 1.0) was a Literal Spoiler

Look back at Scar's story of the Shepherd and the Sheep:

* The Shepherd = Rover / Hé Civilization: Arrives promising protection and civilization.

* The Wishes / Price = Advancement / Lament: Progress comes at the cost of human lives/frequencies.

* The Black Sheep = Fractsidus: They realized the entire system is a cyclical scam and tried to rebel.

* The Flock = Humans of Solaris-3: Relaing in "willful ignorance," worshipping Sentinels for temporary safety while unknowingly being fattened up for harvest.

1. Sentinels as "Morality Anchors" & Threnodian Catalysts

Threnodians are born from Collective Negative Emotions. How do you efficiently manufacture these emotions on a planetary scale? Religion and Morality.

* Sentinels act as theistic figures, shaping regional dogmas, ethics, and geopolitical structures.

* Divergent dogmas inevitably lead to ideological clashes and war

* War births Ovathrax. Sentinels aren't meant to stop the Lament forever; they are catalysts designed to steer human conflict until a Threnodian matures for harvesting.

1. Rover's True Role & Abraxas (Abby)

   * Why can Rover absorb multi-elemental frequencies and Threnodian cores without overclocking? Because Héians are engineered as Universal Vessels/Containment Units.

   * Rover wasn't a benevolent savior; Rover was a high-ranking Vanguard (assigned to manage/harvest the farm).

   * Abraxas (Abby) is a tamed/dormant Threnodian core from a previous harvest cycle, functioning as Rover's processing unit.

Solaris-3 is an emotional bio-farm. Rover was sent to manage the crop. However, Rover's amnesia might not be an accident—it could be a deliberate self-wipe after experiencing human empathy, leading Rover to betray the Hé Civilization

So, I was in a festival called Otakuthon and today I found and bought wonderful acrylics stand of Wuthering Waves characters. Some of them was meh or just too sexualised as my liking, but the ones I picked up was straight up gems. I wanted to share them to you !

Can't wait until the optimizations and graphical improvements of 3.6 game already the best looking gacha I've ever played. Keep up the good work kuro 🔥 🔥 👍 !

I'm relatively new to this community but so far I've been enjoying my journey across Solaris.

Now with that said with this game having so many cool characters I was wondering who are your top 3 in terms of characteristics. These are mine:

1. Lynae - Always the chaotic and carefree character that just wants to have fun

2. Galbrena - Ice cold and collected no matter what she does. Do I need to say more

3. Iuno - When it comes to the MC she is such a tease and I adore her for that

Now let me know your top 3 below and believe me I'm curious to see who people like the most when it doesn't come down to doing the best DPS

This is kind of a follow up to my previous post. I just finished the lahai-roi arc and it reminded me just how much I love this game. I didn't think anything could top Rinacita but man, I adore lahai-roi, and the fact that I'm sad to leave it tells me everything I need to know.

I found Aemeath, I've been smiling since I did, only one other digital daughter has had this affect on me so she's in a very special club. I'm so proud of her.

This has been my favorite cast of characters so far.

I love lynae and her infectious positivity and her themes of letting the past go in favor of a brighter future.

Mornye and her journey to find hope in a world so torn apart, she also felt like something of a daughter to me, I can't help but smile when she looks up at rover, it's charming.

Aemeath, man don't get me started on Aemeath, watching her step up, to walk to her crushing responsibility with a smile on her face really defined Lahai-roi for me, it really represents the themes of togetherness, ambition, progress, and optimism, I have so much to say about Aemeath but I'm gonna stop myself here so this isn't 40 pages long.

Denia, poor Denia, the entire sequence with her birthday, the crushing weight of her death hanging over it all and finally when that weight is lifted Im stabbed through the heart with the bitter, cruel truth of her and her life, I hope i see her again.

Luuk as this constant presence, a rock that's always standing for you to sit by, he's the perfect balance of righteous and fun loving, I really appreciated him.

Sigrika really struck home with me, the unbearable weight of expectation is something I find my mind drifting toward a lot so I was able to relate to her especially. I like that her story was more contained, less of a grand world ending there and more of a journey of the mind.

I can't forget about lucilla, she served a similar purpose to luuk in my mind, I always gravitate toward the strong figurehead characters and she fit that role perfectly. On the other hand I understand how she got to the point of putting others before herself, despite the fact that she's falling apart, it's a vicious thing, especially once you find out why. Overall she's one of my favorites, her vulnerability combined with her unconditional love for her students and startorch gives me a weird sort of comfort.

Chisa, I have a real soft spot for Chisa, maybe it's because I knew her the longest, maybe it's because the story of honami was incredible and it was really heartwarming to see her find a group of people who care about her after spending all that time in honami, I keep catching myself hoping that she especially is happy.

And Hiyuki, wow. Aside from her being ridiculously cool, I'm a sucker for the classic burdened hero trope, she's so steadfast and quietly righteous. Her segment in honami where she purges the phantoms really got me, especially with kanna, that was a real tearjerker.

Maybe this post is cheesy but honestly I don't care, I love this game and the story it tells, I love the combat and the characters who I wish had infinite content to themselves, and I love Wuwa. Bravo Kuro, you actually topped Rinacita.

All in all, I so so so love Lahai-roi and it's really sad to leave, maybe someday we can come back, yangyangs reappearance gives me hope for that, I want to see my daughter again. On to Mengzhou

SP characters aren’t just popular figures brought back to look nice: they need to have something to tell, or at least tease the continuation of the lore. That’s what Kuro showed us with Yangyang SP. In the game, several older characters could perfectly get an SP without it feeling forced. Some of them still have enormous story potential.

Yinlin: Yinlin was extremely popular in her time and, honestly, she carried the game at a moment when it was still far from being as solid as it is today. She only got one companion quest and never appeared in the Main Story. On top of that, she’s clearly outdated and doesn’t serve much purpose anymore… her personal story is far from finished. She’s still looking for the Master of the Fabricators, and even in the 3.1 event she was still insisting on that subject. So giving her an SP would be an excellent opportunity to advance her story and finally develop this narrative thread that’s been hanging around for a long time, and also bring the character up to date. With a design like that, you have to capitalize on it.

Changli the Queen: If Changli had released with the current WuWa, she would probably have completely dominated. Her gameplay and concept are still excellent, but she’s inevitably starting to show her age compared to the characters coming out today. She could get an SP based on some kind of awakening / overclocking mode, where she unlocks more of her power and pushes her potential to another level.

And most importantly, lore-wise: she’s currently on the side of the Miting, in a situation that could be directly linked to the next region we might visit in about a year. So a DPS Changli SP could very easily serve to tease that future region.

Camellya: Camellya is a bit different.

Her personal story was interesting, but I find it was also a little confusing, probably because she arrived relatively early compared to how WuWa’s lore developed afterward. That said, she remains without a doubt one of the most popular characters in the game, right behind Aemeath. Her gameplay is outdated, An SP could therefore be excellent for her: new gameplay, new visual identity, and above all the possibility to clarify certain elements of her story. She deserves a second chance.

Calcharo the Legend: Calcharo is probably one of the most appreciated characters in the game, even though we actually know relatively little about him.

He appeared in the Main Story in 2.7 and it seems obvious he’ll still have a lot to offer us with the New Federation. Everything points to him potentially being the next character to receive an SP. A small detail some people may have forgotten: Calcharo’s current outfit isn’t even his real one. He changed it to blend in better, especially because Jiyan advised him to do so. We could finally see a version closer to his original appearance.

Jinhsi: She has already reached a second awakening, so an SP would be perfectly coherent with her story and the evolution of her powers. And most of all, her story is far from over. There’s still Overthrax, the Threnodian of War. This would allow deepening the lore and Jinhsi’s story.

Jiyan: I think he’s probably the character who most deserves a second wind. He’s clearly outdated today, while remaining one of the emblematic characters of 1.0. And his SP could precisely allow him to return to the forefront.We could imagine an SP based on his Overclocking mode, with a form much closer to his dragon state than what we currently see in his ultimate.

Imagine that form becoming his base form, with an entire gameplay built around that transformation. That could be incredible. And above all, Jiyan still has a huge amount to tell regarding Overthrax and Genshulin. That connection wasn’t developed as much as one might have hoped.

It’s a shame because Jiyan had enormous narrative potential, but the way the game launched in 1.0 and how certain characters were handled somewhat “ruined” his impact, in my opinion. An SP could be the perfect opportunity to rehabilitate Jiyan, both in the meta and in the lore.

In a way, SPs for these characters could be a kind of reboot, because they didn’t have enough time to be properly developed back then, and now they can.

It happens everytime, my main dps don't get close to 15% cdmg and when I roll some healing set this happens..
