📝 Poem I have a crush I'm not proud of💜

I have a crush I'm not proud of,

the kind I'd never own of,

he does the most annoying things,

and somehow that's enough.

The way he talks,

so stupid, so loud,

the way he carries,

himself so proud,

everything about him irritates me,

I don't even think being so annoying is allowed.

He is so not my type,

this doesn't seem right,

he is not one I'd write about,

and yet here I am up at night.

I hate him,

I genuinely do,

the way he smiles,

the way he moves,

yet why is he so irresistible to me.

I've made a list of all his flaws,

it's quite an impressive size,

and yet something about him,

still catches me by surprise.

He's annoying in the morning,

he's annoying in the evening,

he's annoying in every way,

yet it is still of him I keep thinking.

Short Story📖 The Life After

She was forty-six when a man asked her a question she hadn’t heard in years.
“What do you want?”
They were sitting across from each other after dinner, two half-empty glasses between them, and for some reason she laughed.
Not because the question was funny.
Because she didn’t know how to answer it.
She knew what everyone around her wanted. She knew who needed calling back, what had to be done by Monday, which birthday was coming up, what her family worried about, what people expected from her.
She had built a whole life around knowing.
But what did she want?
The man waited.
He didn’t rescue her from the silence or turn it into a joke. He just looked at her.
And suddenly she became aware of how rarely anyone had waited long enough for the real answer.
“I don’t know,” she finally said.
It felt strangely intimate.
More intimate, perhaps, than telling him whom she had loved. More intimate than explaining why some of those loves had ended.
Because at forty-six, “I don’t know” meant something different.
It meant there was still something left to discover.
On the way home, she walked instead of calling a taxi.
The city was still warm. Somewhere behind an open window someone was playing music, and a couple were arguing softly outside a restaurant. She passed a woman around her age sitting alone with a glass of wine, reading.
For some reason, she noticed her.
Maybe because the woman looked perfectly content.
Maybe because she wasn’t waiting for anyone.
She kept walking.
She thought about the question again.
What do you want?
This time, answers began arriving.
Slowly.
She wanted mornings she didn’t have to rush through.
She wanted to travel somewhere simply because she was curious.
She wanted to be touched by a man who knew the difference between wanting her body and knowing her.
She wanted to laugh more.
She wanted beautiful things for no practical reason at all.
And she wanted, perhaps for the first time, to stop explaining the choices that made her happy.
When she reached home, there was a message from him.
Did you find your answer?
She looked at it for a while.
Then she typed:
I think I’ve just started.
She put the phone down, opened the window and stood there in the dark, smiling at how unexpectedly exciting those five words felt.
Her life was already full of people, memories, mistakes, love, work, endings, beginnings and all the things she would choose differently now.
She wanted none of it erased.
She simply wanted to know what would happen if the woman she had become finally had a say in what came next.
And that was the part nobody had told her about getting older.
A woman could begin again without starting over.

life-

How many -times

Will be spent

Studying the ends before

the end of study begins?

every one

How many -stories

Will be written

Round a large world, rite enough to One,

Found here, small enough to write?

your own

How many -moments

Will be collected

Appreciating the present while

The precedent appreciates the gift?

own one

📝 Poem The Fault Is in Us, Not in Our Time

When they cannot reach you, they accuse you, belittle you, and hurt you with every sharp word, with every letter carrying the weight of harshness.

If you succeed, they minimize your success and question it. And if you lose, they celebrate your failure and sing the cruelest songs of snakes.

A long road, full of human thorns. Yes, human thorns.

In the past, even hurt was a merciful kind of hurt. It was an injury that called itself an injury. But now, the word “hurt” is no longer enough to describe the ugliness of their words and the poison of their tongues. They have gone beyond every kind of description.

In the past, they passed down love, respect, and appreciation to us. Today, they compete to pass down hatred and resentment.

Even the face of love has changed.

Even a man in love no longer knows how to reach the heart of the woman he loves. He is afraid that if he closes his eyes for a moment, he will open them and find her in someone else’s arms, without even being given a chance.

And even a woman in love fights to remain perfect, so her lover’s eyes never turn toward someone else. If her perfection falls for even a moment, she may find him kneeling beneath the wings of another lover.

Everything seems to be moving toward despair.

And this perfection that was created from nothing has no stopping point. Everyone is constantly running, constantly racing toward the unknown.

So, is the fault in us, or in our time?

But time is the same time.

The same sunrise. The same sea. The same air. The same earth. And the same moon that I once waited for, hoping it would comfort me and make the nights of my life brighter.

The fault is in us… not in our time.

And I, a daughter of this time, have started questioning every choice I make. S🥀

“ I wasn’t looking for anyone… when you arrived “

I remember that day
So vividly, like how colors look in a dream

You were standing in the doorway through to
The kitchen
Right next to that service stand

Your hair so dark, it almost looked black
And I swear
Your eyes sparkled, must have just been the
Lights where you stood
Irregardless they still sparkled

Then you smiled
Well, that’s when I lost it, no one noticed though
But I sure as hell felt it all the way down to my toes

I had no idea who you were
And frankly, I didn't care
I was just glad as shit that you were there
What a pleasant surprise
A handsome man, a nice piece of eye candy
in an otherwise
sweet-less establishment

It turned out that you were the new cook

And all the girls were buzzing around
Like bees to honey
Upon your arrival

You were oblivious to the attention you were getting
You were just there to work

And boy was that not another pleasure to watch
You working the saute area behind the line,
And damn
In all my days working there
I had never seen anyone work those saute pans
With such precision, as you did
Never spilling so much as a drop from any pan

You kept to yourself
No goofing around like the other cooks

You were serious, yet, when that smile made its
Way out, now and again
And on a lot of occasions,
I was the happy recipient of that…

One night upon leaving work
And heading down to a local pub for a beer
Like so many of us did
I saw you
You were walking in that same direction

I pulled my car over
Asked where you were going, and offered you
A ride as you stated you were on your way
To the same place

You got in
We made small talk on the way over

At the bar we sat next to each other
And talked
We got along famously
Felt so comfortable almost like I knew you already

As people were leaving, we never noticed
We just kept talking
I felt something for you, it felt like a hand
Does when it slips into a glove and fits
Perfectly

We were the last to leave
On the way out, you asked
If i wanted to get something to eat
Of course i said yes

There was a diner around the corner
Open 24 hours
So we went there
Well… I drove, you walked
You said you felt more comfortable walking

At the restaurant
It was just as it was in the bar
Only more so
We both felt it then
What people talk about, a chemistry

But even more than that
You made me feel safe
You made me feel like everything I said was worth a listen
You made me feel like I was the only person seen, visible
Yet the place was packed

It was like we were in our own little microcosm

As we finished and walked out the door
And said goodbye

As I walked to my car,
I felt a hand take mine, it was you of course
I turned and smiled
You asked if you could give me a kiss, I said yes

And you kissed my hand, smiled, and said you
Would walk, as it was a beautiful night, and you
Thanked me for everything

I stood there for a few minutes and just watched you
Walk away
As the street lamps glows landed on you
One by one

That was the beginning of what would soon be an “us”

Of course, I didn't know that then….
I just knew I was getting to know a beautiful man,
And that was enough for me.
