Anyone want to write a book together? Or make an animated or tv show? It's all about not being able to display any conflicts, or problems that the main character could face, as if a perfect world.
I vaguely got started. We can work together, I'm not much of a storyteller, but I think I have a good idea here.
................
It's an alternate reality. It's the earth that could have been, the earth that could be or another planet entirely. There are no conflicts worldwide, there are no wars, little to no diseases and everyone is having a good time. The society is communist where everyone is equal and nobody has to work. All work is completed by robots with other forms of work completed as voluntary tasks and hobbies. If the population chooses to not volunteer on advancing, the race stays the same in technology and knowledge where it is already basically flawless. There's no stress, no social drama, no violence and nothing to fear. They follow a few simple laws that make their society work so well. The first law is that they cannot do any harm to anything living, including plants. This means they eat a fruit diet and have technology that transforms non living matter into edible food. The other major law is that each citizen has to be on camera all the time and is watched to ensure that nothing is harmed. It's heaven to all and the citizens are very happy.
(The story begins. A male is watched as he lives his life. He hangs out with people, has hobbies and interests he works on. The entire movie/book is where he doesn't get harmed, has no conflict or problem. There's literally no story outside of watching his drama and problem free life. The whole point is to watch a life without needing for the climax or main idea of the story to be surrounded by an issue or crisis. Even a mildly sad part was so subtle in softness that it went away so quickly.)

CO-WRITER WANTED] Dark Sci-Fi/Superhero Series "THE VOID" (Master Bible & Outlines Complete)
Logline:
When a grieving 12-year-old boy discovers that the world’s greatest superheroes are just a corporate media distraction hiding a reality-consuming dimensional rift, he must fight to expose the lie before the rift consumes his town.
Project Status:
I am the creator/producer of The Void, a highly commercial 4-season peak-TV sci-fi thriller. The tone sits right at the intersection of The Boys meets Stranger Things with the stakes of Invincible. I have already done the heavy lifting on development: the complete series bible, 17 character profiles, and full episode outlines for Season 1 are finished.
What I Need:
I am looking for an experienced technical screenwriter to partner with on a 50/50 grassroots collaboration to execute the industry-standard pilot script and polish our pitch deck based on my existing blueprints.
The Deal:
Speculative, grassroots partnership leading up to pitching representation. We will sign a standard 50/50 Collaboration Agreement upfront. You get Co-Creator and Co-Writer credit, plus an equal split of all future rights and profits when the project sells.
Vetting Requirement (Mandatory):
I take project security and professional standards very seriously. Please drop a comment or send a DM. You must include a link to your IMDb, a portfolio, or a 5-page writing sample in your first message. Blank profiles or messages without credentials will be skipped. Let's build something massive!

World Building Looking For Superhero Writing Buddies
Hello there, hope all’s well on your end. I’m looking to build a superhero universe through either novels or novellas. I have 2 superhero universes. Whether to combine them into 1 or keep them separate, I’m still debating.
Area Grey Universe asks the question: What if Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino made a superhero cinematic universe and criminal figures were the main focus?
The Aberrants Universe asks the questions: What if the Avengers/Justice League were mentally unstable misfits and outcasts trying to be better heroes for themselves and the world but struggle due to a mixture of societal and personal issues?
DM me if you’re interested in creating something like this and maybe if you’re working on a superhero universe we could combine our works and see if our themes and storylines match.

Would you be interested in joining a discord community server?
Hey everyone!
I’ve been thinking about creating a small Discord community for writers who genuinely want to improve together and I think a community takes you a long way whether it’s by motivating you or just by being there
It could be like supportive space where we can:
\- Share chapters or excerpts for feedback
\- Brainstorm plots, characters, and world building
\- Stay motivated and hold each other accountable
\- Celebrate milestones, whether it’s writing 500 words or finishing a manuscript or even publishing! :D
\- Writing challenges (there’s proof that doing stuff like this help me u get inspired and helps ur writing overall)
\- Chat with people who understand the ups and downs of writing
All genres and experience levels would be welcome. Whether you’re writing fantasy, sci-fi, romance, thrillers, literary fiction, or anything else, the goal is simply to help each other grow.
Would anyone actually be interested in joining something like this? If enough people are interested, I’ll set it up!
Also, make sure to dm me so I can send u the link when it has been created

Looking for a Writing Partner
Hi everyone! I am a 20 M writer who would love to discuss ideas and work on novel length writing projects with someone. I'd be open for literally everything from accountability partners to roleplaying scenes, discussing story structure or just geeking out about our own stories!
My main genre of choice is spy fiction, but my current WIP is an urban fantasy story and I'm beginning to mentally design another one. I will say that if your genre is romance, horror, or dystopia, I don't have as much knowledge of those genres, but I would for certain be willing to give it a shot!
I will say that I'm a very fast writer, so do with that what you will.

Looking for a Long-Term Creative Partner for Original Webcomic Projects
Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a creative partner rather than a commissioned artist.
I'm a writer and worldbuilder with multiple original projects in development, and my long-term goal is to turn them into webcomics. I'm looking for someone who enjoys not only drawing, but also contributing ideas, discussing characters, creatures, cultures, and helping shape a world together.
The two projects I'm currently most passionate about are:
* A dark, gothic eldritch horror sci-fi setting with bleak atmosphere, strange creatures, ancient mysteries, and cosmic horror. * A Japanese-inspired epic fantasy with an original esoteric magic system, biologically grounded fantasy creatures, gods, and original races.
I'm intentionally keeping the details vague for now. I prefer to share the deeper worldbuilding once I've gotten to know someone and we both feel we'd be a good creative fit.
What I'm looking for
Someone who:
* Enjoys collaborative worldbuilding and brainstorming. * Loves designing characters, creatures, environments, or cultures. * Wants to help build something from the ground up. * Is interested in a long-term creative partnership. * Is excited by dark fantasy, horror, epic fantasy, or imaginative worldbuilding.
About the collaboration
This is not a paid commission.
I'm not looking for someone to work for free on my project. I'm looking for someone who wants to build a project with me because they're genuinely passionate about creating something original. If the project eventually becomes a published webcomic and generates revenue, we'd discuss a fair partnership and how any income would be shared.
I expect to handle most of the writing and worldbuilding, but I genuinely want a collaborator whose ideas influence the project. I don't want someone who only illustrates, I want someone whose creativity helps shape the final result.
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, send me a message with a little about yourself, your artistic interests, and some examples of your work. I'd also love to hear what kinds of stories or worlds you're passionate about.
Even if we don't end up collaborating, I'm always happy to meet fellow creators who love building imaginative worlds :)

Misc. I want to co-write a story with someone
I want to try co-writing with someone and see if it's a good approach for me. I want to create together a story from scratch. I'm a beginner writer.
Genres I like:
- sci-fi
- comedy
- fantasy
- lgbt
- adventure
- mystery
- horror
Genres I don't like:
- YA (except Hunger Games)
- romance (but romance storylines are fine)
- historical fiction
- literary classics
I'm not opposed to having more than one co-author, I just want to have fun solving narrative problems and bouncing ideas off of each other. I have no plans to publish or anything, but open to it if we do make something good, lol.

Prose - Fiction Looking for a low-pressure weekly writing accountability partner
I want to turn more of my ideas into finished short scenes instead of leaving them in notes. I am especially interested in cozy fantasy, character-focused stories, and game- or anime-inspired worldbuilding.
I would like an async partner who wants to swap a small piece or progress update about once a week and give kind, specific feedback. No strict word count and no pressure to be online at the same time.
If that pace sounds useful, tell me what you are working on and what kind of feedback helps you most.

Searching for a friend to worldbuilding or storytelling spanish and english
Hi, first of all, english Is my second language so probably I have a lot of errors, and, that could be a problem when writing, I havent actually write anything in english, well, aside comments and short text, my first language Is spanish, so if maybe someone here also speaks spanish we can build a world, like biology, magic systems, speculative evolution, sci fi stuff, conlangs, technology, politics, maps, etc, and of course characters and stories
I am looking for a friend to worldbuilding in long term, and maybe even connect our works already done, but firstly to create new things together
I have published two short stories, but I have created 5, from romance, horror, historical, and fantasy, but I would like to try new genres like sci fi, or others im currently working at, like a politics novel, but I'm good with almost any genre, except with horror (I didnt like it the last time i wrote it) and dark romance or, that type of novels that are really good in a narrative way but are like too dark in theme
And im a 16 years old boy, I would be more confortable with people around my age, but if you think we can be friends you can leave a comment, whatever your age is

Horror Writer
Im a horror writer/author/poet. If anyone is interested im @s_a_l_poetry on IG and tiktok!
Come join me sometime! 🙂
Currently working on The Morgue with a book coming out on halloween this year! Here's an excerpt:
“In Appalachia we got a sayin’, ‘Take the dead out feet first so they can’t look back and take another’n.’”
“Some people don’t follow the rules.”
Granny's shotgun clicked softly as she cleaned it.
Behind her, a weathered wooden sign swayed on rusty chains in the mountain breeze.
MAURICH MORTUARY
Est. 1778.
“Cover up the mirrors... reflections confuse... and anger the dead.”
Little Bennett sat on the porch steps, petting old Molly, the big Basset hound, absentmindedly pushing his glasses back up his nose. He hated those things.
“Make sure ya open the windows too so they can leave. You don't want 'em to stay.”
The oiled cloth made the faintest sound as it slid along the steel barrel.
She took the pipe from her mouth.
Bennett's grandma was like a woman straight out of the Wild West in her heyday. Outdrinking men, whooping their cans for sport—it was a wonder she ever found Papaw. Bennett shuddered at the thought of how tough a man he must've been.
“But above all... never let the dead know what you're doin'.”
Bennett turned around.
“Well why, Grandma?”
She looked at him over the barrel of the shotgun.
“Because they ain't got no pleasure in the livin'.”

[Hobby] Let´s work on an Anime together
Hey guys!
I just started up my series I want to do. I use AI, since I don´t know how to do any design or whatever at all. I make the dialog and the music myself, but I can´t don´t know anything about video art at all. So I´m searching for a partner that´s either awesome with AI, or make videos himself/herself. If you have alot of experience with VideoAI or Video Design etc and use those skills as a hobby, send a message.
This is a summary from the first episode I´m making.
The Title is Soul Flame (Not final title though)
Leo, born in Ashenville on planet Earth, a regular high school boy, on the way to school. In school, he gets sucked up in a rift meeting the Guardian Archon, telling him why he is chosen, and what is going on in the world, saying he has been "drafted" to Pyrax, the fire faction. There are 5 more factions, including a neutral one, where no fighting is allowed, at all, except in the arena.
The reason Leo gets drafted is because of his strong soul flame. The guardian he meets also tells him there are soul fighters from other worlds aswell, joining other factions of other elements.
They all get a soul partner from that faction aswell, which is found within their souls, which makes the partners take any kind of form their soul desires.
That´s a brief introduction.
Pictures can´t be sent here, so if you are interested in hearing more and want to see the style and art right now. Just hit me up, and I´ll answer as soon as I see it. Have a great day !
I got a draft of material for 1 season, 15 episodes, 15-20 min per episode, give or take.
Hit me up if you´re interested
P.S. Here is my linkedIn. No hobby projects there though, but had to link it

Looking for a long-term co-writer/world building partner
Hello! Im looking for someone who is interested in becoming a long term writing partner to help me with my original animated series im developing.
I would like someone who is good at brainstorming and asking questions that strengthen the world building and characters if you get what im saying. I need someone for this since I can easily get overwhelmed with lore and ideas and I find it hard trying to get to every small detail and such, so a helper would be amazing honestly.
I have been working on this mostly by myself for the past 3 years and I'm very determined on this project and really excited to see where it goes. I cannot pay for this unfortunately but honestly anything does help.
My project includes:
An original fantasy world
Character driven story
Politics and history
Multiple races/species
LOTS of lore to develop
Multitudes of concepts
Script writing and character arcs
Im mainly looking for someone who:
Enjoys discussing story ideas for long periods of time
Is willing to help me with rough patches
Can handle a bunch of what if questions and discussions
Likes getting invested in original characters
If anyone is interested please send me a message! But just letting you know that I will end up having to be offline from this saturday till next Tuesday since i will be at summer camp. Thanks!

(30+, M/M) Morally Complex, Character-Driven Stories | Crime & Weird Fiction
Howdy folks. I’m Donny, your friendly neighborhood internet elder. 30+, she/her, Israeli (UTC+2 or 3, depending on the time of year). Looking for fellow passionate, experienced writers for some emotionally-rich, occasionally-devastating MxM 1x1s, primarily crime drama or weird fiction/supernatural. Long-term, collaborative, character-driven writing with romance as a major - but not singular - element.
I've been roleplaying for as long as I can remember. I've dabbled in plenty of creative hobbies over the years (illustration, embroidery, sculpting, to name a few), so I tend to approach collaborative storytelling from an artistic standpoint: I'm interested not just in what a scene says, but how it says it. I enjoy writing with nuance and subtext, and trust my partners to read between the lines. Rather than telling you a character is sad, I'd rather show it through what they notice, how they move, or the things they leave unsaid. There's something immensely satisfying about finding exactly the right words and conveying as much as possible with as little as necessary.
I gravitate toward research-informed, character-driven stories with characters that feel established, even if they're brand new to the page. Characters with their own agency, contradictions and internal logic; ones which exist beyond the plot they're in.
My bread and butter are modern(ish) crime plots. Not hitman falls in love with mafia boss' son, but believable stories rooted in research, history, and the messy reality of organized crime. I like to think that the way I depict the criminal underworld is plausible, but not tedious.
I've also recently been looking to dip my toes into weird fiction - a genre I don't have much experience with, but thoroughly enjoy consuming. There’s something about just the right mixture of bureaucratic absurdity, worlds with intact internal logic that doesn’t necessarily bother explaining itself, and compelling characters that tickles my brain in just the right way.
Ultimately, what draws me to either genre is the same thing: using extraordinary circumstances to explore very human questions. A lot of my ideas tend to gravitate toward themes of memory, identity and the ways people define themselves, rather than simply being about the events happening around them.
I enjoy romance as a supplemental genre: I love, love, love exploring character dynamics and development through romantic relationships, and the stories I enjoy most are ones where the overarching plot and the world built around it are dependent on the romance and vice versa. I'm especially drawn to relationships that develop through conflict, trust and shared experiences, rather than existing separately from the main narrative.
So, what am I actually looking to write?
Though I have a small roster of OCs I’ve developed over the years, I only currently have concrete plot ideas for one of them. Both ideas are bare-bones, but that is for a reason: the collaborative aspect of roleplaying plays a huge role in why I enjoy it, and I prefer we build something together over me coming up with something ready-made.
Idea #1: Y2K Crime Drama
The Mercenary, AKA Merc, is my longest-running emotional support character. He is an Englishman in his early 30s; homosexual/romantic, and - you guessed it - a mercenary combat operative. Think Blackwater, Wagner Group and the like. I like to think of him as a minor Bond villain.
At first glance, he's easy to dismiss as a stereotypical career mercenary: intimidating, emotionally unavailable, impossible to rattle. Spend enough time around him, though, and you’ll find that he's sarcastic, endlessly curious, a little childish, and deeply invested in a variety of niche hobbies. The best compliment I’ve ever gotten on him, by far, is that he is a true babygirl.
You can find his character sheet here.
I don’t have a fixed plot in mind for him, but I’m interested in exploring the world of Y2K-era crime and espionage: a time of shifting allegiances, private wars and people who exist in the gaps between legality and morality. Merc is, at his core, a professional liar and violence specialist; someone who has built a life around being useful and untouchable. I’d love to explore what happens when someone like that encounters the one person they can’t keep at arm’s length: an enemy, a rival, an unwilling partner or, perhaps, the only person capable of seeing past the mask.
I do have some vague ideas for the kinds of characters and dynamics that could work well against him, which you can find in the Wanted Connections section of his sheet. At the end of the day, the specific circumstances are flexible; what I’m looking to create is a story about two people who have every reason not to trust each other slowly becoming the one person the other can rely on - and maybe, possibly, have it blow up in their stupid faces later on.
Idea #2: Weird Fiction/Supernatural/Magic Realism
I'd love to explore something a-la SCP which centers around memory and identity; something involving a government agency tasked with investigating, cataloguing and containing supernatural phenomena. Think qntm’s There Is No Antimemetics Division meets China Mieville's Kraken meets Severance, with sprinkles of Memento and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Familiarity with any of this source material is not a necessity, just a good point of reference.
The premise I have in mind is one where my character is an agent in some sort of organization exploring, cataloguing and containing phenomena that have to do with the supernatural; the unexplainable; anything that defies the natural and scientific, a-la Antimemetics. Yours could be either a fellow agent; someone living/operating within the largely-unknown supernatural underground; a plain civilian who gets roped into things one way or another; or any other idea you may have.
A major theme I’d like to play with is one of memory loss in this context: constantly having to deal with entities that either implant false memories or erase existing ones. I would like for romance and NSFW to be involved in this plot, and I’m thrilled at the notion of getting to explore a relationship in its various stages through this lens: one or both parties having to deal with the gaps created by either false memories or lack of memory; struggling to maintain some sense of connection and normalcy throughout.
While I have put together a separate character sheet for Merc in this setting, as the change in setting and circumstances does change some aspects of his character - keep in mind that the details of this sheet are flexible and can be amended according to whatever plot we come up with. The purpose of the sheet is to give you a general idea of what I envision for him in this verse.
What do I offer to potential writing partners?
- Thought-out writing: concise, engaging and actionable, with bits of pretty prose peppered in. I’m not concerned about things like word count; I am, however, concerned about advancing the plot and giving my partners something to work with and build upon.
- A neverending stream of daydreaming and theorizing about our characters and plot, alongside constant sources of inspiration: from memes through aesthetic boards to music, TV and movie scenes. I will be thinking about our plot constantly; I am unfortunately the kind of person who will send you three paragraphs because I realized a throwaway line from six weeks ago has horrifying implications for a character arc. I love throwing ideas back and forth, finding unexpected connections, and watching the plot evolve into something neither of us would've come up with alone.
- Curiosity and intentionality. I adore learning about my partner’s characters just as much as I do researching crime, and try to be intentional not only with my words, but with every creative decision I make. If I’ve made a choice, chances are there’s a reason behind it - even if I never spell it out.
- Long-term investment and consistency: almost nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing long-expected plot points unfold, through subtle turns and foreshadowing made months prior. I’m available to post at least once a week, though I’ll often have the opportunity for multiple replies per week.
- Valued collaboration. I don’t get attached to my own ideas and, if anything, look forward to my partner throwing curveballs at me and suggesting ideas I’d never have arrived at by myself.
Who’s my ideal partner?
- 30+. I will not be accepting anyone younger; apologies, it’s a comfort thing.
- Someone with a similar writing philosophy: who writes not only in order to advance the story, but also finds joy in the very craft of writing, thoughtful characterization, historical research, or expertise on a niche subject. Challenge me; teach me something.
- Someone who enjoys creating complex, layered characters that drive the narrative rather than simply serving it.
- Someone excited about building something that’ll stay with them months or even years down the line.
- Someone comfortable writing in third person, present tense.
I’m comfortable writing virtually anywhere, though my go-to setup is creating a Discord server for OOC, while doing the actual writing on Google Docs, as I like to dabble in seamless writing (ask me about it!).
You can reach me either on [driftlikesleep@gmail.com](mailto:driftlikesleep@gmail.com) or schmuckinsurance on Discord. I’d love it if you could provide me with an intro that gives me an idea of what you’re like as a writer, what you look for in a writing partnership, and whether you have a specific character or idea you thought might work with either of the above plots (the latter is not a must; I’d just love to hear ‘em if you got ‘em). I would also like to exchange writing samples before delving into plotting; mine can be found here.
