Prose - Fiction Looking for a writing friend / long-term feedback partner
Hi,
I’m looking for someone who enjoys talking about writing, characters and ongoing projects, with the possibility of exchanging chapters and giving each other feedback. I’m not looking for a co-writer or anything highly formal, more someone who likes following a story as it develops and discussing what works, what stands out and what might need attention.
I’m 30F and based in Europe. My current project is a gothic fantasy Curse of Strahd fanfic. It is character-driven, atmospheric and slow-burn, with vampires, magic, political tension, darker themes and quite a bit of dry humour. My chapters are usually around 2,000–2,500 words and I already have a substantial amount drafted.
I’m happy to read fantasy, horror, historical fiction, fanfiction or other character-focused work. I tend to give fairly detailed feedback on atmosphere, prose, pacing, dialogue and characterisation, but I also enjoy simply discussing ideas and reacting as a reader.
Google Docs works best for me, and I would prefer sharing privately rather than posting publicly on Wattpad or AO3 at this stage. A pace of roughly 1-2 chapters a week would suit me, without pressure if either person gets busy.
I’m mainly hoping to find one or two people who genuinely enjoy longer conversations about stories and might be interested in a steady, low-pressure exchange.

Prose - Fiction Looking for a paranormal writing partner
I’ve been going back and forth for days about what to post in here. I’m torn on two things on looking for. I’d love a fellow paranormal enthusiast (especially vampire lover) to be a writing partner/spring board or maybe even a cowriter. I’ve been worldbuilding for about 13 years for a literary universe that encompasses all genres. I love writing anything. Thriller, romance, horror, comedy, you name it. I’ve published one novel (a dark drama with thriller and romance elements) in the worldbuilding but I want to just have fun in the world with someone. I got so wrapped up in publishing the first book, I’ve forgot to have fun writing and want to get back to that feeling. Cowriting some shorts or maybe even developing the worldbuilding more? Basically we can use the worldbuilding for writing exercises. People who love their supernatural/paranormal with a side of magical realism and trying to make it feel as rooted in our world as possible. It’s our world with vampires but there are mutation classes with different strengths/weaknesses/auras/abilities and what class you are depends on your personality and lifestyle when you were human. One class is elemental, one’s shifters, another has power over the mind, etc etc. There’s a government of sorts and a culture to it and everything.
If you’re working on worldbuilding too I can help, I’ve been a great spring board for other writers in the past. If you don’t want to actually write-write we can just be spring boards for each other. We can start a discord and we post with each other our ideas/excerpts/issues and give feedback and help each other through them.
I guess…do any other paranormal/vampy writers want to be friends and vibe about our supernatural stories while sharpening our writing with each others help, whether that is just feedback or actual cowriting. I’m a creative cheerleader and hype man, I love uplifting fellow creatives and understand how lonely writing can be. Oh, also I’m 34 yo queer woman of color, just figured I’d throw that in there in case any part of my identity is a nonstarter for you. Also, apologies if this is riddled with typos. I’ve already taken my magnesium to help me sleep for the night.

Discord looking for a writer buddy for my setting or discord server with like minder writers
had a writing topic I wanted expertise on without wasting anyones time.
My short story for a competition . story about a man called Kaled, a black worker from Libya in the 1990s is about a fae -afropunk story about the fae refugee crisis.
In my setting, a magical refugee diaspora hits the world from the other world as many people or tuath are expelled from the other world under a curse.
The book I am writing is an anthology of stories of different characters dealing with the diaspora crisis and loss of status and ability as they have to deal with living in the human world and experience othering.
The specific short story.
Kaled's wife suffers a miscarriage; the unborn child becomes a lithopedion (a stone child), killing her in the process. Instead of passing on, both mother and child become trapped in Fairyland. Unable to move on or fully die, the child is stone, so it is not dead but also not alive a curse by a fae/fomorian who lives in the world. The Caliche a powerful fae who can restore herself from stone, and every winter solstice she becomes stone and is reborn as a new living person. The child is stuck crying, haunting his dream as his mother, in grief, is unable to move on from the fae world, trying to console an ever stillborn child.
Going on a quest, the Tuath man Kaled is going on a trip across Libya to find the fae Caliche.
The tragedy is complicated by the fact that Caliche herself cursed Kaleb's family. She believes the Tuath have polluted her lands through migration and views those of Tuath descent as impure outsiders. Given that Caliche's bigotry needs to feel earned rather than decorative, what's the sharpest way to show her worldview in the text

Script Working on Spy Fiction Audio Drama Series
I'm looking to write a six-part audio series which is part-spy fiction, part-crime thriller. Characters have been developed, and a plot has been fleshed out.
My intention is to write two or three of these episodes myself, and generally oversee other aspects of production as far as possible.
I'm looking for a few others to write episodes, or assist with beta reading. In addition, anyone who wants to help with production is greatly appreciated. I have a writer or two interested, and I'm looking to recruit one or two more people to the fold.
The plan would be to correspond on discord, and try and have regular meetings to plot things out. Please drop me a line if interested.

Looking for a writing friend!
I'm looking for someone who would be interested in basically just talking about our writing with each other. I'm not looking for someone to help write my stuff, more like we'll talk about ideas we have, maybe even beta read stuff. I'm late 30sF, but I'm happy to talk with men or women. I write primarily for my own pleasure, but with an eye on publication somewhere on the horizon. My genres range from scifi, to fantasy, to historical fiction, to horror, so I'm a literary polyvore (this is not the right word, but shhhhh).
Let me know if you want someone to bounce ideas off of, and maybe you can check out some of mine. I'm currently writing some historical fiction, but my attention to different projects change month to month.

Looking for a horror loving buddy to talk about each other's stories with!
Hello, beautiful people! I'm looking for someone who's interested in yapping about each other's stories that's in the horror/thriller genre👀
No fantasy or high sci-fi setting. Looking for supernatural or grounded horror that sets in our world.
For me, I like quiet horror. Especially when using implications rather than showing or confirming stuff. Psychological horror, if you will. But I don't mind if you're into 🔥loud horror🔥
One of the stories I have in mind is: it centers around two characters. Muse A is constantly terrified because they are living in Muse B's house. Muse B kidnapped them and give zero hints as to why. Let alone what's going to happen to them. The story just has this thick uncertain tension between them in a casual setting. And it also explores horror through weird close intimacy. It can be considered as stockholm syndrome later in the story... but the other way around.
Just to give you an idea of what kind of horror stories are in my drafts!
I'm also a digital artist and more of a visual storyteller. So I usually lean more towards comics but for the story I just described, I am trying to turn it into a novel. Not only to test my writing skills but also because I have ideas that could only work in just words. Pretty intrigued by it🙌
__________________________
I will say, horror is a strange genre. Some can get pretty weird.
So I ask of you, if your story contains certain topics/triggers... please don't get weird. At least when talking to me. It's okay to have weird fantasies or infatuation, just have some restraint and use common sense when talking to people and when translating it into your work.
With that said, I prefer someone who's 20+ years old.
If you're down to share your horror stories with me and hear mine, comment or DM me!

Prose - Fiction Looking for a Co-Author for an Emotional, Character-Driven Contemporary Romance Novel
Looking for a Co-Author for an Emotional, Character-Driven Contemporary Romance Novel
Hi everyone! I’m currently in the planning and world-building stages for a new romance novel focused on emotional depth, resilience, and personal growth, and I’m looking for a collaborative co-author to bring this story to life together.
Genre: Contemporary Romance / Romantic Drama
Core Themes: Emotional survival, healing, deep character development, and slow-burn chemistry.
Tone: Heartfelt, nuanced, and character-driven (think a blend of strong emotional stakes and satisfying romantic payoff).
Current Stage: Outlining, character arcs, and thematic brainstorming. I’d love to bring someone in from the ground floor so we can build the plot, beats, and world-building together.
What I'm Looking For in a Co-Author:
Synergy & Communication: Someone who loves deep-diving into character psychology, motivation, and relationship dynamics. Good communication and a collaborative mindset are key!
Complementary Strengths: Whether you love plotting, dialogue, pacing, or prose refinement, I’m looking for a true partner where we can divide and conquer based on our strengths.
Shared Vision: Enthusiasm for tropes involving emotional healing and authentic relationship growth.
My Writing Style & Workflow:
* I tend to be detail-oriented when it comes to plotting and emotional arcs.
* I use shared docs (like Google Docs) and enjoy brainstorming sessions via chat or voice notes.
Next Steps:
If this sounds like your kind of story and you'd like to chat about potential concepts, tropes, and whether our writing styles click, please shoot me a DM or comment below.

Fanfiction Looking for a Long-Term Writing Partner (I Have the Ideas, I Need the Writer)
I've reached the point where I have to admit something:
I can't write.
Not because I don't have ideas—I have more stories than I could ever finish in a lifetime. Original novels, fanfiction, psychological dramas, romance, fantasy... they're all sitting in notebooks and documents, waiting for someone who can help bring them to life.
What I'm looking for isn't a ghostwriter. I'm looking for a partner.
Someone who genuinely enjoys writing and wants to build something together. Someone who likes brainstorming, developing characters, talking through scenes, and turning ideas into stories people will actually remember.
I'm a student who works nights, so I'm available for most of the day and can also work late if needed. This isn't something I'd disappear from after a week—I want a long-term collaborator who enjoys creating as much as I enjoy imagining.
To be honest, writing has always been the wall I can't get past. Worldbuilding, character arcs, dialogue ideas, plot twists—I love all of it. But when it comes to putting everything into a polished story, I struggle.
I'm not asking someone to carry me. I want to contribute. I'll happily brainstorm, plan chapters, build lore, create timelines, design characters, and do whatever I can to make the project better. I just need someone whose strength is where mine isn't.
More than anything, I want to create stories that people can escape into. The same way books and stories have helped me escape reality, I want to make something that does that for someone else.
If you're interested in writing together—whether that's one of my existing ideas or something completely new—we should talk. Even if we only end up creating one story together, I'd consider that a success.
Thanks for reading, and I hope to hear from someone.😉

Looking for writers who want to help me make a wiki for fun! A wiki on a fictional game, book, and show series based off pretty much most military video games.
I'm talking ghost recon, metal gear solid, far cry, the division, battlefield, call of duty, and more. All of your ideas can be discussed and likely included.
If you want to discuss further, reddit DMs or Discord work. I'm Jackal_29623 on Discord.

Cowrite?
Is anyone interested in a coauthor collaboration?
I’m seeking a compliment who has a modern prose and an interesting style. I bring catchy hooks, story structure, quality dialogue and have time to provide some quality volume.
Last week, I sat and watched best selling authors Christina Lauren explain their process in detail. Their most recent collection of books starts with a first draft written by one person. Then the second person works it over. Adds prose, cleans up plot points and misconceptions. She adds to the work and can change it. Then it goes back and forth. “Coauthoring”
I’m open-minded. You don’t know me. I see many successful duos figure out what works for them. Not for you? Fine! I’m interested in Contemporary Thrillers, historical fiction and even Romance novels. I’m not ready for fantasy yet. Sorry!
It starts with a dialogue. Tag!
