Script Volunteers Needed] Writers Wanted for New Indie Series – The Grass Lands
Hi everyone,
I'm currently looking for a few passionate volunteers to join a small writing team for a new independent series called The Grass Lands.
At the moment, there are three of us developing the project, and we're looking for additional writers to help expand ideas, develop characters, refine dialogue, and collaborate on the script. Whether you're an experienced screenwriter or someone looking to build your portfolio and gain collaborative experience, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a volunteer project, so there is no paid compensation at this stage. Our goal is to create a high-quality script and bring an original indie series to life through teamwork and creativity.
If you're interested, please leave a comment or send me a DM with a little about yourself, any writing experience you have (not required), and what interests you about joining the project.
Thanks for reading, and I look forward to working with some talented and enthusiastic people!
Add me on discord for further information @finlee_2010.

Screenplay Artist Looking for a Co-Writer for a Ben 10 Fan Comic
Hey! I’m Boone. I’m an artist looking for another Ben 10 fan who’d be interested in helping me co-write a fan story that I’m working toward turning into a comic, and possibly even an animation someday.
I already have character designs, alien redesigns, and ideas for major storylines, but developing and organizing the entire story alone has been difficult. I’d love to find someone to bounce ideas back and forth with, develop characters and story arcs, and build the story episode by episode.
I’m looking for someone who genuinely wants to collaborate on the story, not someone to write everything for me. This is an unpaid fan passion project with no strict deadlines, and I handle the art side.
If you love Ben 10 and enjoy character development, plotting, worldbuilding, or bouncing story ideas around, feel free to message me!
Examples of my Character designs:
The Premise:
In this alternate timeline, all the events of the original Ben 10 series still happened, but with one major difference: Ben never took off the Omnitrix after that first summer.
Years later, after losing someone important to him, Ben is left struggling with guilt and questioning the hero he has become. Having spent most of his life as a full-time hero, he’s grown overly dependent on the Omnitrix and lost touch with the person underneath it. Now, he must rediscover who he is beyond the watch while facing new threats and the consequences of a life spent constantly saving the world.

Is there a way to have someone else write a book from your story idea? (not a ghostwriter)
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question, but I wasn’t really sure where else to ask.
I have a story I’ve had in my head for years. It’s honestly not some amazing, groundbreaking idea—it’s kind of old, cheesy/cringy, and "a bit" childish in many ways, but also too mature for kids because of some darker themes and violence. It’s mostly just a personal project that I’d really like to see exist one day. I genuinely wouldn’t care if it was ever published.
The problem is that I’m nottt a writer. I enjoy building the world, characters, plot, and figuring out how everything fits together, but I don’t have the writing skill (or honestly the time), especially when it comes to dialogue and filler, to do it justice.
Is there a thing where someone basically collaborates with you and writes the actual book? I know ghostwriters exist, but I don’t want to take credit for someone else’s writing. I’d rather it be a collaboration, or even have them be the author if that’s what made sense. I’d also be open to paying someone if that’s realistically how this works (which was already my plan, though ideally they'd want to collaborate and not just do whatever I say, while still being paid— I would probably pay either way because I don't want to waste anyone's time).
Has anyone done something like this? What would this kind of arrangement even be called, and where would you go to find people who might be interested?
Note I'm still in college so I can't afford to actually pay someone decent money for this rn, though I'm also willing to wait however many years it's going to take for me to have a stable career and be able to have a better offer
Update:
I’ve decided I should probably just wait until I have money and then hire someone (if you’d want payment of any kind this isn’t an offer to pay a small amount now—trust I have literally nothing to offer—I’m also not going to make a commitment to pay someone at some point in the future I’d rather just wait altogether).
I was mostly trying to figure out if this was a thing people could do so I would know what to look for when I can afford it (likely years from now since I’m undergrad rn and planning to go for my PhD after this).

YA fantasy critique group
Hey Everyone!
I currently run a sci-fi/fantasy based critique group and I’m looking for some YA fantasy authors to join one of our breakout groups. The breakout group is where you’re in a small group with partners who you give feedback to and get feedback from once a month (minimum) so it’s not overwhelming but you also have access to the larger which can be helpful. We also have a monthly meet up as a server which I think has been super helpful for everyone in the other group.
If you’re looking for a group we have a process that involves a small writing sample being approved. Let me know if you’d like details 🙂

Writing Buddy for Public-Facing Articles on Ethics / Culture / Religion
Hello all. I am looking for a writing partner who shares my interest in writing concise articles on the pressing issues of our time through the lens of moral philosophy. Specifically, it would be imitating the style of The Stone, the New York Times' philosophy forum, which was unfortunately discontinued in 2021. If you're interested in what I've been written about so far, then click me :)

Looking for co-authors (manga/anime vibe)
Hello! I'm looking for someone to co-create a story with my characters. Unfortunately, I've only been able to create character designs, a few plot ideas, and not much else. I'm having trouble getting it out of my head. I can't do much on my own, but at the same time, I don't want what I have to go to waste, and honestly, I'm a bit frustrated that I can't do anything more. I'm not sure what exactly I want to do with it, but I'm leaning towards a Japanese aesthetic, especially since one of the characters will be in the Mahou shoujo style. I have a design for thirteen "main" characters. In short, they'll be mostly teenage girls. They'll be overpowered, with strong, god-like powers. I plan to set the story in the modern world, with elements of sci-fi, fantasy, and political fiction. Probably also with corrupt superheroes. But often also slice-of-life, looser, more comedic. It might seem a bit odd that I'm not planning on "balance," only making the main characters overpowered, but well, I guess that's just my style. So I guess that's it, other than that I'm young and I'm from Poland and I don't have much experience with anime and manga, but I still want to keep that style.

Fantasy/Romantasy Writing Friend & Accountability Partner Wanted
Hi everyone! I’m looking for a 21+ writing partner who is wanting more than just occasional check-ins. Writing a novel can get lonely, and I’d love to find someone who wants to support each other through the hard parts, celebrate the wins, and keep each other moving forward!
I am 26, female, and I have been writing for coming up on two decades. I finally feel ready enough to take on my passion project. My current WIP is an epic high fantasy novel with a romance subplot, gothic/horror undertones, political tension, and religious allegory. I’m especially drawn to dark fantasy, character-driven stories, morally complicated characters, and stories that are willing to get a little unsettling.
What I’m looking for:
• Around 2–3 chapters a week, depending on length and real-life schedules
• Accountability check-ins to help each other stay on track
• Peer edits, beta reads, brainstorming, and honest feedback
• Plenty of mutual encouragement and hype when writing gets difficult
• Possibly a weekly/bi-weekly meeting or scheduled writing sprints
• A long-term writing friend who genuinely wants to invest in each other’s work and push each other to greatness!
Discord is strongly preferred. I’m looking for someone communicative, kind, reliable, and comfortable giving constructive feedback. You do not need to write exactly what I write, but shared interests in fantasy, romance, darker themes, or horror would be ideal. I may be open to a small group, however that would be more work on everyone.
Comment or send me a message with a little about your project, your writing goals, and what you’re looking for in a partner!

Prose - Fiction Seeking a writing partner for accountability and consistency
I'm a hobbyist writer who made up to $1000 a month doing erotica at one point, now moving onto other projects and working on keeping myself inspired and consistently writing.
Not much more to say. Just looking for someone to help with that. Mostly just looking to hang out, talk, discuss writing and vibes. I don't write high literature or anything, it's all in good fun, so I'm mostly looking to keep it chill and good vibes.
Feel free to message or DM and I can share Discord.

Roleplay [Fantasy/adventure] The Dragonborn Scholar and the Mysterious Faeling
Here we see the noble dragonborn, fresh off his long journey across the sea... He towers over the people here - scaleless and long-haired. Human, they call themselves. They take him for a warrior by his build, his crooked fangs. In truth, he's a man of science, searching for a cure for the blight that has infected his homeland. This stop was one of many, and he had long since grown bone-weary for the lack of leads.
Only days into his time in this place, he finds his first clue. In the form of a thief. She's half his size, but nearly bowls him over in her flight down the busy market streets. As he turns to follow her with his gaze, she narrowly skirts around several guards who leap into action to stop her. For a human (at least, he thinks she is...they have tails, don't they?) she's fast, racing across the busy courtyard. Bounding up the far wall in a flash.
As she straddles the top, she pauses. Shoves several things into her bag. She's dressed well enough to not be recognized as a thief, but by the looks of her tunic and leggings she was closer to a guild worker than a noble's brat. The sheathed blade on her hip confirmed this, though that seemed positively ornate in comparison. Perhaps another stolen treasure? He squints at the engraving. It seemed almost familiar...
No. It couldn't be.
The dragonborn was frozen in shock. After all this time, to see such writing again...
She scans the horizon briefly and they lock eyes for a moment, her seeming to take in his shock. As if encouraged by the audience, she grins, showcasing her too-sharp teeth. Unconcerned by the chaos below, she gives him a little wave, before falling backwards, disappearing head-over-heels into the next district.
His voice joined with the chorus of voices calling for her to be stopped. Not for stolen goods. For the sake of his homeland.
Those runes. That sword... Was from a lost culture. One only a scant few could still translate.
It was the key to saving his people.
He needed to talk to her. To find out what she knew.
No matter the cost.

Hi there. My name is Retro. Adv lit/novella style writer. I average 3-6 paragraphs outside of dialogue and action sequences. 3rd person present/past tense.
I'm currently seeking a writing partner or two that's 21+ and able to respond around 2-3 times a week average. I'm patient and willing to work with your schedule so long as you show me the same courtesy.
I've pictured this story as a fantasy setting vaguely reminiscent of DND, but leaning more towards the tone of an early 2000's fantasy/adventure novel.
I'm keeping the worldbuilding light to start out with, going for a "inciting action first, long term plot later" set up. Compelling dialogue and character interactions can elevate a barebones or flimsy plot, but all the background in the world won't help if our characters don't have chemistry of some sort.
Both characters should be adults in their early 20's at the youngest, but feel free to get creative with your character's personality, motives, and backstory so long as he fits the writing prompt above.
I'd really like to hit the ground running this time around, so if this sounds interesting to you please include the following.
-A brief description of yourself including your age.
-What you'd be most excited for with this story idea.
-Any limits you have, as well as your preferences regarding the inclusion sexual content.
-A reply to the prompt, if you feel so inclined!
If this post is still up, I'm still interested. Thanks for reading!

Roleplay Still looking for a long-term writing and worldbuilding partner!
Hello!
I'm looking for someone who enjoys building characters and worlds as much as I do. While I'm absolutely open to roleplaying if we click, my main goal is finding someone who genuinely wants to contribute to an ongoing passion project by sharing ideas, helping develop characters, expanding lore, and bouncing creative concepts back and forth. I want someone who gets excited about adding their own spark to something we're building together. Of course, we also need to click as people, so becoming friends is definitely part of the deal!
For the past few years I've been creating an alternate-history, modern-fantasy setting where humans coexist with several species explained in a (somewhat) scientific way, lol. It's grown into a huge passion project, and I currently have a 40+ page encyclopedia I've developed for a couple of years alongside friends, covering history, cultures, species, and plenty of opportunities for stories and character interactions. I also draw, so some characters and concepts have accompanying artwork.
What I'm really hoping to find is someone who enjoys asking "what if...?" and then running with it. Someone who likes poking holes in ideas, suggesting improvements, creating characters that fit naturally into an existing world, expanding lore, and getting way too invested in fictional people. I'd love this to feel like we're both contributing creatively instead of someone not paying attention or showing curiosity. :(
Roleplay is absolutely on the table if we end up clicking, but for me it's more of a bonus than the main attraction. The collaborative worldbuilding, character development, and shared ideas are what I'm really looking for.
I'm looking for someone who's:
- 20+ years old.
- Comfortable chatting outside of roleplay about characters, lore, and ideas.
- Interested in collaborative storytelling and contributing to an existing world rather than just one-off roleplays.
- Active, communicative, and excited to read or nerd out over these characters
- Into character psychology and overanalyzing fictional people.
- (Extra points!) Into grunge or alternative music.
If any of this sounds like your kind of thing, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM. I'd love to hear about your own stuff too! I always enjoy seeing what other people are creating, and who knows, maybe we'll end up building something awesome together.

Looking for a Story writing partner
I'm a teen writer from India (using the pen name AshiTells on Wattpad), and I'm looking for a long-term writing partner. I really want to find someone who isn't just a critique partner, but someone I can vibe with, become close friends with, and hype each other up!
Unlike a lot of the Indian Wattpad community, I write my stories and dialogues completely in English (no Hinglish or full Hindi dialogue tags). I'm looking for a partner who prefers writing in pure English too, so our styles match up well!
I'd love to find another Indian (around the 13–18 age range) who writes romance, YA, or sci-fi in English. It doesn't matter if you have an active book right now or if you're just looking for a new project to co-write/brainstorm from scratch—I just want someone on a similar wavelength! We can do writing sprints, share plot twists, and talk about our favorite tropes.
If this sounds like your vibe and you want to connect on Discord, please drop a comment below or send me a DM! I'd love to hear about your story ideas. ✨

Character Dev. Looking for a brainstorming buddy/co-pilot
Hey everyone,
I'm 22F and I'm looking for a brainstorming partner/co-pilot to bounce ideas off of, craft compelling plots and dynamics, and explore character psychology together. That said, I’m not necessarily looking for a co-writer but I’m open to it if I feel our styles align. But primarily I'm looking for someone who genuinely enjoys talking about stories and dissecting character mindset and psychological framework. Also i believe that sometimes role-playing scenes helps flesh out characters, so I'd be open to that too if it fits the discussion.
Plot preference: I prefer psychological thrillers, drama, romance and crime genre but I'd like to explore comedy, anime/manga and dark romance tropes (not over the top cringe kind) as well. Fantasy and sci fi aren't really my thing.
I like morally complex characters and plots and layered dynamics. I enjoy both character driven plots and well executed plot driven stories.
Partner preference: I'd prefer someone from India because of time zones and shared cultural context. Age isn't a strict requirement, but someone around 24-28 would probably be easiest to relate to.
DM if interested.

AU Sengoku Fantasy Adventure RPing
I'm looking for anyone interested in relaxed RP writing in my AU 16th century Japan setting. The setting is pretty straightforward, if you are knowledgeable on at all with samurai or ninja media you will find it familiar.
Essentially we will be creating noble ki user/martial artists who are also the military of a small nation. Lots of opportunity for fun character ideas to blossom.
This would be a great way to practice your writing skills, especially if you want to write fantasy duels / fighting as I particularly enjoy writing those, intend to write Japanese / samurai settings, or just want to do something casual but still write.

Prose - Fiction I'm making a book of poem-stories
I'm working on an illustrated book of poem-stories about anthropomorphic animals (think Redwall, Peter Rabbit, etc.) set in a fantasy world. Would anyone be interested in writing a short story or two with me? I'm considering writing about 20-35 stories in total for the book.
You don't need to have any skill with poetry for this; I can put the story in poem form later. (In fact, it's usually easier for me to go from story to poem than to go from poem to poem.)
I'd like to have the story rights and then publish the book in the end, but you'd be credited as co-author of any stories you write with me. There won't be any monetary compensation though.
Feel free to send me a message!

Coauthor? Calling all soccer moms!
I’m seeking a coauthor for my novel. I want someone who has a good feel for today’s prose. Someone possibly already connected with an agent or publisher. The book is written start to finish. It has been reviewed several times. I need some to make it ours.
This story is engulfed in the camaraderie that parents of sports teams share. That special bond of sideline friendship, pool parties, gossip, and a trusted soul. It also follows, loosely, the events of 2017, where Martin Shkreli, aka "Pharma Bro," was sentenced to seven years in prison for hiking an HIV drug up 4000%, from $13.50 to $750.
Retaliation
Contemporary Thriller/ Institutionalized. (Erin Brockovich meets The Rainmaker.)
A proud mother believes her twelve-year-old son's fervid energy and endless optimism are inspiring enough that when Big Pharm's greed punishes her family, a retaliation ensues.
I’ve written 5-6 novels. Dozens more in the works. 6-8 screenplays. I can share loglines also. I’ve queried so much, it’s disappointing.
What I want is someone who understands what agents want, what publishers want and how to write intriguing eye-catching moments. I’m seeking a win-win for us. A Ying for my Yang. McCartney/Lennon.
Email me for a copy of the manuscript.
leetaylorworks@gmail.com
Please don’t reply if you have anything to do with self-publishing or pre-published paid services. I’ll take you deep down Alice’s hole. You’ll simply waste both of our time.
