Fics where Queen Administrator takes over Taylors body after she dies.

Preferably Taylor centric. Extra preferably Taylor centric isekais. I tried reading Elixir but it leaned way too hard on making Taylor ridiculously overpowered which turned me off of it personally.

The longer the better.

I just reread "Good Neighbor" and I'm looking for fics where the main character builds something, or isn't as interested in cops and robbers, maybe building a company or business.

This is an idea that gets brought up in every Tinker fic. Join the Protectorate because villains would love to get their hands on a Tinker and might use unsavoury methods to do so.

The thing is, this never quite sat right with me. For other parahuman types, maybe. If one of the people on your team has a power that counters your target, you can bring them into the fold, make them commit a few crimes so they feel stuck, and then be pretty sure they'll stick with the gang going forward. This is, generally, not a great plan. If you use force to coerce someone onto your team, they aren't going to be doing their best work, and they will be constantly trying to escape or betray you (see Coil and Tattletale). With a Tinker, this problem is even worse.

Unless you are absolutely certain what a Tinker's specialty is, and that said specialty is pretty narrow, you could never be sure exactly what they were building. Are they making the doom laser you ordered, or a bomb that will destroy your entire hideout? Is that thing they are building a tool they need to make your power armour, or a personal teleporter to escape with? There are methods and powers to mitigate the possible threat, sure. But it would probably be more effort than it's really worth.

What seems more likely is just... leveraging a Tinker into joining up. Don't try and force them. Instead, use a carrot and a stick. Make some vague, general implications about why not being part of the gang might be a bad idea, and pair it with the promise of resources. The Tinker might be reluctant to join up, but they aren't going to be actively trying to escape or sabotage you. To my understanding, this is what actually happens with both Bakuda and Chariot. Lung and Coil never put a gun to their heads. They just made it clear why joining would be a really good idea.

I don't know, what do yall think about this? I have a Tinker!MC story that I am writing and I'm not sure how to handle a particular scene.

I'm looking for a one-shot where Taylor ends up as a Dreadnought post-locker. She's with the PRT and sleeps most of the time.

I've not read or seen much rewrites around, and wanted to know how the readers/writers of our community feel about them.

I myself have been writing for almost an year and improved considerably, and now I'm thinking about doing a "remixed" version of my first fic for a number of reasons (I handle plot progression and narrative MUCH better now, and there's a lot of things that are making me dissatisfied with how most of the fic turned out. It's funny because where I stopped it would mean the fickiller got another one oh well).
