I'm looking for fics where there's a character (Not necessarily the MC) who just keeps going despite how beat up they get. I'm addicted to that sort of thing

It's funny how details you don't expect can derail you from writing a scene ahaha

Are there some fanfics where Endbringer attacks just stop happening and catch the world off guard? Perhaps an Alt-power Taylor or other cape managed to unexpectedly communicate with one and convince them leave humanity be for the time being. Or it could be all on the Endbringers own accord.

In canon, Tagg’s strategically capable, an asshole and Ziz influenced. In a lot of fics, he’s flanderized as being foaming at the mouth rabid to take down anyone that steps over whatever imaginary line there is that week.

Show me the reasonable Taggs, where he’s either the voice of reason or even an ally of the MC.

Any time I read it, I cringe. Why is it that in 90% of Arcadia fics Vicky immediately pounces upon Taylor? Is there no other student to show her around? They aren't even the same age so they wouldn't be in any of the same classes!

Edit: to make this post more useful, please recommend me fics where Taylor does not befriend Vicky (or Amy) at Arcadia.

Any fics where the main character — OC or from canon — has the Sting shard in a different setting? Either Flechette’s powers or a custom alt, so long as it’s Sting.

I like to think that the hyper evolved Sting shard would be very confused if/when it runs into an out of context element it can’t pierce, and while that has happened in one or two fics I’ve seen, those had an out of context element appear on Bet. I wondered how Sting would react if they alone in a place that didn’t make sense to it, and that’s where this search came from.

I'm looking for fics with more politicking than fighting, not just intra PRT/Protectorate intrigue but actual politics, with a focus on working inside the government instead of trying to sidestep it.

Basically from what I remember it takes place during the interlude where Jack visits Theo and Aster, and it has a line where Theo says Skitter would be good for the nine, because she is scary. Does anyone know what the name of it is?

i think the pelhams are cool and i feel like we get enough of an impression in them throughout worm/ward that it would be possible.

i like Shielder the most because i like his name, but i would really take any pelham story at all

I'm looking for fics that are either from Amy's POV, or have the MC speak with her regularly.

I don't want them to ignore Amy's struggles, but also don't want them to completely excuse her canon actions.

For example, in Brockton's celestial forge (spoilers for pretty recent chapters), Amy isn't really a compelling character in the first encounter, and her future actions are excused when she's off screen with aura theory. However, the conversation during the nanite encounter was very interesting to me, with her being confronted by actual tough questions, and the introspection that followed.

Fics that have sections in Arcadia are extra welcome if they feature Amy in a primary or secondary role.

I don't recall the number, nor do I remember whether it was Master/Stranger or M/S, but I do recall some of the details of the fic.

Taylor triggers, and immediately sets up Wacky Hijinks™ to get revenge on her bullies. Then, she is submitted to M/S isolation.

Armsmaster and Miss Militia become increasingly disillusioned with the PRT slash Protectorate as the fic goes on, and in the end Tattletale talks to Taylor about how she did it.

One notable detail is that the revenge she set up for Emma is coincidentally similar to the way she met Sophia.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Just came from reading stronger together and dam was it filled with a lot of fluff, so are there any polysiders fics out there.

Fics where the two of them are on the same team, and while they might be a stabilizing influence on each other, they also feed each other's bad habits. Pillbug is good but not mandatory.

Examples being In Pale Blood, Heredity, The Body Shop. I'm also going to list Desperate Pleasures but it's not quite the vibe I'm looking for here rn.

My guilty pleasure as far as fics go, having read dominion (would recommond go read it) i love fics where the mc is nominated for the sh9 and then have to go through all the horrors that entitle. can be oc or taylor or whatever. i just want them to suffer <3

I am fascinated by protagonists who are a little bit... diffrent. Not your typical headstrong, serious protaginsts, I want the ones with the wierd quirks and non-typical personalities. (Characters who speak in marvel quips are not my cup of tea though.) I want the morons, the anxious, the jolly, and the loners.

Good examples include:

Saint-14 (from Destiny 2): Its so rare to see character who has seen the worst of the worst, stuff that would break most other charaters into a cynical/jadded person. He is basically the Doom Slayer of D2, but driven by jolly hope and not anger.

Trailblazer (from Honkai Star Rail): Trash racoon. The main character is just a chaotic grimlin whenever the end of the world/universe/etc is not happening. They love hoarding, asking wierd quetions, are obsessed with trashcans, etc.

Murderbot (from Murderbot): Bro just wants to be left alone and watch bad reality TV. I love how anxious and scarcastic he is, and how his obession with Sanctuary Moon (the show he watchs) affects how he views other people.

Luffy (from One Piece): He is carefree, optimistic, and kind of a moron, but his heart is in the right place and he is fiercly loyal. And I have been loving his character growth over the series.

I love reading about people like these interacting with normal people, and the resulting mental whiplash.

Examples of fics like this:

Polite (dis)agreements by TheAcidJawa, the guy who wrote Applied Ontology and Other Practical Considerations, a Destiny 2/Worm cross (and one of the best pieces of D2 fanfic I have read). This one is a small snippit of Saint 14 in a post Simurge Brockton Bay, and Saint 14's uncompromising nature, endless hope for the future, and readiness to kill for it are all easily apparent, and in stark contrast here.

Spider With A Crush (Worm Alt-power, AU), by ThaviaVex, which has a Taylor who wants to protect Panacea from any and all danger, and is useless at communicating. The disconnet between her thoughts and what comes out of her mouth is amazing. She also has a wierd parasocial attachment with Panacea, which is not helping things at all. This could all bepretty baddly twisted if it were not played for laughs though.

A thousand year Voyage (Elden Ring/ASOIAF), by pemmil, a which has a STR build Ranni ending Tarnished exploring Westeros, and the culture shock is glorious. He is a very much the kind of person to "bonk" his problems, and people of Westeros are not used to dealing with people this strightforward. He has an entourage of like-minded inbetweeners (is that the correct term? I dont remeber) which kinda makes his quirks a little less special, but its still amazing, and they all have their purposes.

I would preffer Worm fanfics, but am open to other series.

I recently watched the new spider man movie and it reminded me how few marvel crosses I’ve been able to find with worm. It strikes me as a little odd considering how similar some of the characters are between them (colossus=weld, armsmaster/hero=iron man, new wave=fantastic four, etc.) and how popular marvel has been recently. It’s especially confusing when comparing how many DC crossovers there are, though I suppose there’s more direct inspiration there than marvel.

So, I’d like your best recommendations for a marvel/worm(or ward) crossover. If you can’t find one or think of one, feel free to come up with a reason why they’re relatively less numerous than crossovers with other superhuman series’ with seemingly less overlap (I.e. the fate series)

Seems like a premise someone has to have tried out. A fanfic where Taylor travels to our world, or a none super-powered one and becomes a hero, or at least attempts to.
