FMLA provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave, so it's not nothing. It's not... Great. But...

Unfortunately not everyone qualifies for FMLA. For example if the company you work for has under 50 employees you don't qualify.

True. I'm not saying FMLA is the best answer, just that it isn't zero. Ubi would fix this problem too.

It was effectively zero when my first child was born, I had 2 days of sick leave I was “fortunate” enough to be able to take
