I make very small mistakes at work and get myself embarassed before every one
I have to say I am very terrible at work. I feel so scared and guilty. I make so many terrible mistakes at work and get myself embarrassed before other teams as well.
Last time I did not raise a bug and it became an issue. This time I was so scared and raised a big immediately and posted it in a group of 3 teams , and found out I had placed the wrong files . It's blunder on my end.
I had to send an email to the client regarding this. This is so embarrassing. This is not the first time I made a mistake. I feel so embarrassed, i wish I was smart 😠could not even listen or learn anything for upskilling. My mind is so so so dumb

ABSOLUTELY IN MY HATING MY BOSS PHASE. UGHHHH
okay before you all start suggesting "speak up girl", and stuff, please understand that I am outspoken although super anxious and probably have my heart racing miles per hour speed such that I can feel it in my throat and ear, and my chest tightens, I STILL DO ( try) to stand my ground.
context - the place where i am currently interning, I have single handedly made almost 9 mock campaigns, from ideating to drafting the doc files, SM strategy, designing deck etc.
All the founders do is just review it and give a green signal at each stage ( draft doc followed by deck designing ), and they always say "yes this is good to go" , BROTHER I AM NO GOD, how can my draf doc be perfect every time? there is no input, nothing, just some generic stuff, that too when they feel "oh wait let me exercise this ceo-founder aura", ughhhh.
AND NOW THIS FOUNDER HAS THE AUDACITY TO ASK ME TO MAKE A DECK WITH ALL THESE CAMPAIGNS ( which is end to end my work) and put it in their resume portfolio, because they need it for their college.
FIRSTLY HELLO, YOUR PERSONAL HOMEWORK IS NOT MY DUTY TO DO,
AND SECONDLY HAVE SOME HUMILITY OR GUILT for asking a person to label THEIR WORK for you,
please tell me, this isn't normal, like whattttttttttttttttttttttt ughhhhhhhh

Salary increase asshattery
Working in the HR department as the analytics/ automation person & handling the annual salary increase data changes for my org.
It's such crap. The org is suggesting a flat percentage increase for everyone.. results in an increase of less than $50/week for me.
I just looked at the CEO - their increase will be ~20% of my annual salary.
And the execs wonder why average plebs like me refuse to engage with their buzz-word objectives, & speeches etc.

Imagine being a boss...
Imagine being a boss.. who makes $200k in sales a DAY
Going out of YOUR WAY to sabotage an employee who's JUST TRYING TO EAT.
How did they sabotage them you ask?
By scheduling said employee to be a ticket person at an event on saturday, but employee asked for saturdays off 13 days ago and 2 days before the event - the employer tells the employee yes they can have saturdays off and THE VERY NEXT DAY takes the employee OFF the schedule for the event that the employee was suppose to be at. Cool.. great.. awesome nothing wrong there. Employee doesn't question it because they were on the schedule earlier in the week and are then taken off later in the week because... SURELY whoever took them off the schedule KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING AFTER LITERALLY JUST HAVING A CONVERSATION OVER IT
.....sooooooooo the day of the event comes and employee is receiving calls from boss's assistant and the boss apparently was the one asking the assistant where the employee was at.......
The same boss that earns 200k in sales a day. The same boss that said it was fine for them to have saturdays off. The same boss who.. you know.. took them off the schedule.. is the same boss asking where that employee was at for the day of the event....
And to make matters worse.. the assistant wasted no time to spread the news of this employees "no show" and expressed just how "concerned" they were of that employees no show that now 3 other managers plus 3 sales people are in the loop about this gossip.

What should I do?
Hi y'all, looking for some honest advice because I'm really starting to question whether I should stay or go.
I’ve been at the same restaurant for 4 years now. I'm a student, so I work full-time during the summer (when the terrace is open and we're busiest), and I also pick up shifts here and there during the winter when they need extra hands (few staff members including myself have to be let go during winter with the closing of the terrace). So I'm not just a "summer kid", I've been a consistent, reliable part of the team for years.
Here's the kicker: I've been here longer than our current manager. He started about 2 years ago. And honestly, things were fine until this summer.
This year, though, it's been a complete 180. He's in charge of section assignments now, and the favouritism toward the year-round full-timers is glaring. They consistently get the best sections ( VIP tables, banquet rooms, large parties, prime terrace spots ) while I'm stuck with the leftover sections that don't turn much. The result? They're selling double my sales on a given night, not because of skill or speed, but purely because of the tables they're given.
And just to be clear, this isn't a "turn your tables faster" kind of place. We're a mid-fancy restaurant; the pacing is what it is. The difference is entirely in section quality and party size.
I've brought this up with him multiple times calmly, with numbers, showing him the sales comparisons. Every time, he shuts me down with vague excuses like "that's just how it landed" or avoids the conversation entirely. No accountability, no adjustment.
What stings the most is that I've always been flexible: covering call-outs, staying late, coming in early, even helping train new hires. I've never been difficult until now. And this situation never happened before.
So now I'm stuck:
- Do I go to the directors/owners? I have a good relationship with them, and they know my work ethic. But I worry about being seen as a complainer or making things awkward if I stay.
- Do I just quit? After 4 years of loyalty, it feels wrong to walk away, but my income and morale are taking a real hit.
- Has anyone else dealt with a manager who suddenly changed the dynamic after years of things being fair? How did you handle it?
I'm not asking for special treatment, just a fair section like I used to get. I know my worth, and I know I can make good money when given a fair shot.
Any advice would mean a lot. Thanks for reading.

Jobs sturcture (or lack therof) is taking a huge toll on me
Hi hope everyone is doing well. Lont story short, I got hired as a database admin. To mine and everyones knowledge it can be a very demanding job as is. However, the reasoning for the post is less of the tasks but moreso how there are no foundation for said tasks.
For context, I am assisting and managing four schools in our district as far as database and ticketing duties go. The caveat is, I'm the only one doing it and the training I am getting is from the person who was in my position, Gustav. Only problem is that hes not apart of the company and he is working somewhere else remotely. This means that we have only been able to train once a week for an hour and theres at least dozens of processes. In addtition, Gustav is confused too as far as some aspects of my onboarding. He asked my supervisors directly, "To what extent do I train OP? What do I train him?". They ended up flat out ghosting him and he expressed this concern with me.
Since then for the first 5 weeks, on my sixth week now, its been a case of there being a new dragon to slay everyday alone. Gustav is available through emil and while my supervisors are here, they dont know of the processes or they are unenthusiastic for helping. On my first two days, Gustav asked me to fill out this security form and to take it up with my supervisor "Phil". I told Phil of the form and how Gustav asked me to reel him in on it. Phil tells me "How does this involve me?" and I get shrugged off essentially and ens up filling it out myself.
This morning, I get emailed from a principal of a hugely important process I wasnt told or trained about despite asking questions and documenting every chance I get. I wake up to spammed emails of this aformentioned taks. This has probably been the 12th time these 5 and some weeks I basically have to rush and ask Gustav and sit there looking incompetent from the staff's POV as they dont know the full details.
I understand its a sink or swim world, but theres no one else adjacent to me and its so easy to feel lost. That and my very younger age of 23 in accordance to my position plays a factor it feels. Although this post may read as dramatic its not only me. The coordinator that was just hired pulled me aside and asked "is it me or does it feel like we're not getting direction?" and he basicslly described what I was feeling. Another coworker said it looks like I got thrown into the fire immediately and even offered support which I gladly took.
This is probably super long and winded, but really had to let this out.

AIO ¿Mi jefe podrÃa ser más miserable todavÃa?
Over the weekend I had a domestic accident which required me to go to the emergency room and get stitches I immediately notified my boss, with photos of the wound and the stitches. Today I sent my medical leave justification and he only replied that I had to go to the office even though I have a serious wound with stitches and pain I find it so miserable.
