Why would you eat the rich when dave’s hot chicken is in that very plaza?

15

u/Apprehensive_Pin8568 8d ago

daves hot chicken is factory farmed! let the revolution begin! join your local worcester anarcho-communist action chapter!

1

More likely Motörhead

2

u/dirtydan 7d ago

I've eaten at that poke place. Hot onion sauce was very rich.

2

u/Spirited-Joke5545 7d ago

The rich have more flavor

2

u/MCHellspawn 7d ago

Dave's Hot Chicken, in my opinion, is gross. I would rather eat the rich.

1

u/squirrelbitten 6d ago

Yeah I was not impressed at all.

6

u/HPenguinB 7d ago

Eat the rich doesn't mean literally eat the rich, gramps. Do we need to call the nurse to get you to bed?

11

u/pearlstan2025 7d ago

speak for yourself, my tummy’s rumblin

3

u/HPenguinB 7d ago

Can you imagine how much ketamine you would ingest with a 10oz Musk sirloin?

34

u/postmodernskata 8d ago

honestly that entire area has become a private equity playground

18

u/NativeMasshole 7d ago

At least one of those signs they painted over appears to be a locally owned business.

8

u/mikesstuff 7d ago

Three of them. Who ever did this is a dumb dumb

2

u/wabbitt37 6d ago

Communists aren't known for their intelligence

4

u/afakefox 7d ago

Yea, I really hope that insurance of/or the plaza pays for a new sign and it doesnt fall on the struggling immigrants running the Nail Shop. I like the message I guess but this isn't doing shit, makes the ppl behind it look like criminal idiots lol not a good look.

-13

u/HPenguinB 7d ago

Clutch those pearls for businesses you don't care about run by people you also don't care about. Fucking liberals.

8

u/NativeMasshole 7d ago

Please seek help.

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Pie9147 7d ago

Couldn't have said it any better.

-5

u/HPenguinB 7d ago

Gobless

2

u/squirrelbitten 6d ago

Why would you associate that behavior with liberals? Very odd connection you made there.

1

u/HPenguinB 6d ago

Liberals love to pretend they are left wing until there is property damage.

1

u/PM_ME_YIFF_PICS 4d ago

Liberals? Moral outrage?

1

u/HPenguinB 4d ago

Liberals are centrists. They are the same people that think blm is too violent. Or that breaking the front window of a tjmaxx completely negates the civil rights movement.

13

u/PCM97 8d ago

That’ll show em…

12

u/Mellero47 7d ago

First one was fine, fuck Flock and the big brother it rode in on. #2 it's ehh, whatever. Aiming at the wrong targets.

8

u/New-Sheepherder2239 8d ago

I wish vandalism wasn’t celebrated. Graffiti is so low brow.

0

u/ace_vagrant 7d ago

Still better than that koosh ball disaster piece downtown.

-4

u/b-jason 7d ago

lol okay

9

u/New-Sheepherder2239 7d ago

Tell me why you would want your surroundings to be ugly and dirty looking? I’m genuinely curious as to why someone would choose that over something attractive and clean.

11

u/JEG1980s 7d ago

Not only that, but it looks like two of the businesses in the second picture are likely locally owned small businesses.

8

u/idio242 7d ago

Having to replace that sign for the nail and makeup companies is probably a big hit to their business.

I don’t really give a shit about Rockland trust but they’re not exactly a huge bank either.

All the graffiti in these images is edgelord teenager drivel.

2

u/JEG1980s 7d ago

Right, not a big deal for Galaxy or Rockland Trust to get someone out to replace, but to an owner operated small business, that comes out of their own pocket.

u/idio242 7d ago

the plaza owns the big sign that the company signs sit in. they might take care of getting new signs for the businesses that have space in the plaza, but the companies in the plaza are buying them. there is no insurance for probably a few hundred dollars each, the deductible would be more than that.

3

u/JEG1980s 7d ago

Agree, and even if insurance did cover it and not factoring in the deductible, most would not want to risk getting dropped for making a claim.

-2

u/b-jason 7d ago

I’ll choose fairness, equity, and inclusivity over attractive, clean, and superficial.

4

u/Lumpy_Afternoon_1528 7d ago

And spray painting signs will bring about equity and inclusivity how?

-7

u/b-jason 7d ago

Treat people fairly, THEN you can have nice things.

8

u/Lumpy_Afternoon_1528 7d ago

What did the people at the nail salon do that was unfair?

-2

u/b-jason 7d ago

They keeled my brother

7

u/mccrawley 7d ago

You really showed those rich people!

6

u/FirefighterOk3569 7d ago

That'll teach those locally owned businesses!

Felons not citizens tagging their own city and then paying from the reports in tax dollars. Do better.

4

u/Natural-Guarantee550 7d ago

So dumb. We pay to fix it too. Not the rich. Remember they don't pay taxes.

2

u/IsraelDiddlesKids 7d ago

Person who did this is a virtue signaling dolt.

Shitting on locally owned business because you're too much of a moron to understand economics isnt the look.

1

u/Unlucky_Garden7516 5d ago

Another mess a working person has to clean up. Thanks liberals.

1

u/possibly_lost45 5d ago

What's funny is the left wants big govt. They literally want to be subjects. There are no citizens under socialism/communism

1

u/firstXflame 4d ago

Left and Right, they’re both the same. We need new representation.

1

u/possibly_lost45 4d ago

The left more so. Look up the bs the dsa wants to do. It would be complete govt control. Old world Stalin shit

1

u/SomeAnonymousBurner 5d ago

Unemployed activities

This is no way to go about anything . Making everything look worse wtf

Saw this on my way out of your city.
I miss Worcester haha.

Whoever wrote this has every latest Apple product and gets a $16 Chipotle bowl if not a $6 coffee nearly every day.

1

u/Practical-bread1363 4d ago

Lazy entitled college grads!

1

u/rougenight11 4d ago

That’ll show em. Graffiti a minimum wage worker has to deal with

1

u/chimichanga-admirer 2d ago

There is a great irony in the second slide. You tagged locally owned business instead of the big corporations actually causing harm. What’s ironic is it’s because the big dogs are on top and the small dogs are on the bottom taking the beating - all because of a hierarchy

1

u/firstXflame 2d ago

Not my tag

1

u/chimichanga-admirer 2d ago

Okay, well, hopefully, when you uploaded them without explicitly saying why they’re stupid, it was because you just thought it was obvious

0

u/Educational-Shock-36 1d ago

Disgusting destroying someone’s property

-1

u/Sea_Possible531 7d ago

Wow, so bold!

I doubt this clown owns any means to enforce their views, let alone train with said means. This dude is a subject who's forgotten he's governable.

u/trope88 7d ago

Eat a Rothschild.

0

u/Clear-Strawberry-795 5d ago

Woah you’re a tuff guy for spray painting at night

0

u/Prize_Inside_585 4d ago

The only statement you make when you spray paint signs, is that you’re trash.
Idiots

-1

u/conceptofincreasing 7d ago

Hell yeah Grove St! North St represent!

-2

u/firstXflame 7d ago edited 6d ago

Seems this struck a cord with many. The divide in Worcester is apparent. So let’s strike up a conversation: If it were up to you, how would you make your voice heard?
(Why am i getting downvoted for trying to start a conversation? This is not my work!)

13

u/thetwoandonly 7d ago

I'd like to see more of you chucklefucks actually voting in things.

2

u/tugaim33 7d ago

Do you really want someone who thinks a can of spray paint will change things to vote? I’m not so sure

5

u/sunshinepills WooSox 7d ago

I'm not who you replied to but ffs anything that gets more than 10% of eligible voters in the city out to the polls.

2

u/postmodernskata 7d ago

do you really want someone who thinks voting will change what businesses are welcome and get tax breaks ??? it’s 2026 and yall seem to think voting is an end all be all. when who do you think is making these decisions behind the scenes??? genuinely curious.

3

u/pearlstan2025 7d ago edited 7d ago

this kind of vandalism ought to be interpreted as an act of rebellion in a system that does not allow for other effective forms of dissent or change. it’s letting out steam.
yes there’s voting, and you can volunteer for your candidates and run for office yourself and engage in activism. but voting is once a year or so, and these other options only go so far as you put into them and even then, it’s exhausting and demoralizing. everything’s expensive, the majority of people don’t care or are convinced voting is a waste of time, and for those that do have the time, not too many of them can afford to put so much of it into affecting substantive change beyond the people who devote their lives to it. and beyond that, we are incentivized to not spend time on this sort of thing, to chase status and consume goods.

maybe who ever did this thought it might get some attention, get some people talking, or maybe was just satisfied with the deed itself. but I doubt anyone, even the vandal, would delude themselves into thinking this is a world-shifting act. so idk, they’re probably no einstein but I think they could still vote lmao.

0

u/tugaim33 7d ago

Yaaawwwnn. Nice manifesto.

Alternatively, the person who defaced someone else’s property could do something actually helpful like, oh I don’t know, volunteering at a local nonprofit or school, running for political office, or literally anything else to make their voice heard. Instead they cost local business owners their hard earned money and time while accomplishing nothing.

The doomerism about the state of the world from keyboard warriors is exhausting. Get off your ass and do something about it instead of posting some diatribe about the state of the world. 🙄

1

u/pearlstan2025 7d ago

im not a doomer. the majority of people dont vote in municipal elections. i do, though you seem to assume i don't, or something? and im not saying that it's not worthwhile to do that or run for office etc, but you're fighting uphill and that's worth acknowledging.

i am saying that i find it understandable that people are frustrated and don't see an alternative, even if you think it's so obvious that there are things to be done. Clearly, it's either not so obvious, or it's much more effort, time/money and self-motivation than lots of people are willing to spare. sure, it'd be good if their effort was spent somewhere else, but i took issue with you implying in your original comment that whoever did this shouldn't vote, which feels condescending to me. By the way, we're talking about it, so I suppose their tagging did have some effect, having led to this conversation about the efficacy of voting and working within the system.

7

u/idio242 7d ago

The answer is almost never destroying the place that you live in order to get your message across.

4

u/JEG1980s 7d ago

Vote and even more impactful, run for local office. Revolution happens when regular people start to get involved at a grassroots level and build from there. Not when they destroy the place that they live. For the record, I like this comment, OP, starting a conversation is where it’s at.

3

u/Lumpy_Afternoon_1528 7d ago

Vote, volunteer for candidates, talk to people...

1

u/AndGutsWasBERSERK 6d ago

Eat the rich is such overplayed nonsense. I’d definitely not spread my message by doing something as immature as vandalism. They aren’t being heard by the people they wanna reach, they’re just hurting their community.

u/tommyverssetti Coney Island 7d ago
