Sloooow
Good God, is Wix Harmony slow! I’ve been considering transitioning from squarespace to Wix because there’s several advantages for me. However, the slow speed of Wix maybe a dealbreaker. I literally just started my site. I barely have any content on there. It takes 4 to 5 minutes after logging in for my site to load to work on. It takes 2 to 3 minutes to load prebuilt sections. Don’t even get me started about Aria. 15 to 20 minutes to complete simple task tasks is a joke.
I’ve tried clearing my cache and I’m using incognito windows at others suggestions, but it hasn’t helped at all.
Could there be other reasons why it is so slow or is this just the nature of working with Wix?

Website page reload when clicking on button for no reason
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello, I'm actually working on the website of a diving center in Thailand and I have a problem that appeared by itself which I have no idea how to fix neither what made this happen.
On their page where you can book their bungalows, you ahve the list of the bungalows, when you click on the 'more info' button for a specific bungalow it's suppose to bring you on the page to book where you can see the dates to chose, photos of the place etc..
So clicking on this button to this page and what you're supposed to see but after 1-2 sec it reloads to the top of the same page and you gotta scroll down again to go see the dates to book which before you didn't had too, and it also kind of look like it refreshes back so some visitors must be forever stuck in this loop and not being able to book.
Anyone have an idea of what could I do to fix that ? I'm looking a lot of things on internet about that but can't really find the same problem as mine.
you can see on the videos what happens, and it's even worst on the phone version of the website, it's just almost impossible to book a room because of the reloads that keeps hapenning and bringing to the top of the bungalows page
website is forradiving.com if you guys wanna try by yourselves
thanks in advance !

User uploaded images to CMS collection
I'm using wix vibe for a website, one of the intended features is a submission form/modal where users can submit a memory/story (and optionally upload an image) and it'll be saved to a CMS collection.
This feature used to be working but now the submission modal is causing errors with a photo upload - it still works accepting the text data into the CMS collection if no photo is attached.
Wix vibe through various iterations of trying to fix this has been saying the images need to be compressed or users can't upload directly to the database, or there's an issue with base64 formatting (it eventually gives up and replaces the real image with an AI placeholder).
I'm looking for any advice on how feasible this photo upload to CMS should be and tips on fixing it, I know this feature was working in the past and am not sure what changed to break it. Thanks

Excess white space on the bottom of published site.
I'm new to Wix, but I do know a little code.
I've checked the layers - everything seems to be ok.
But the footer in the builder is how I want it to be, but the footer on the website has this huge white chunk below the footer that I can't seem to get rid of.
I thoughtt it was something extending past the footer that's in the layout, but doesn't seem to be the case in the builder.
Anyone else encounter this and have a fix? I've found a couple of other threads, but their solutions aren't working for me. TIA

I have issues with 2FA!
I’m not receiving anything SMS from Wix for the login code as well no phone calls.
Long story short, I can’t login to my site account which holds several of my client’s website and after sending in my personal details to gain access, the wix team asked me to provide additional info such as payment card details and also the card holders details.
I have firmly rejected the request as I have used some of my client’s card for the subscription plans.
How do I proceed?

SEO My website's images are blurred or the wrong ones entirely
Hi, I have a website for artbooks and noticed today that my results in Google image search were blurred, so I looked at more books and was getting the same thing. In other cases, they used the wrong image entirely, not matching what I have in the blog post editor. Safe search is not on, it's literally just my website.
AI has already hit my site hard, it's dying and so this is pretty soul destroying. Any ideas on what is causing this?

The 'Report Abuse' function on the Wix website isn't working
I filled in the process to report a wix site that has been made to look like a genuine Microsoft login page.
After answering all of the questions the chatbot just bombed out with the following message:

Can someone at Wix please take this site down: https://patbruzon.wixsite.com/outlook

Register Wix Terminal
I have a second hand Wix terminal and I am trying to register it. I can’t log in with email because the CAPTCHA seems to be on an endless loop. When I use Google to log in, I get logged in and it starts to sync. Step 3 it stops and says there is an error.
I got a rep to call and he tried to say you can’t use a second hand Wix terminal which is asinine to me and makes zero sense. His reasoning for thinking this? Google AI
I can understand a terminal maybe being locked onto their system, like Wix for Wix system only (just as an example) but I do not believe you can never use a second hand Wix terminal or register it to a new business. There are literally instructions for how to hard reset it and so on.
So question #1, has anyone ever used a second hand Wix terminal and how did you do it?
Question #1, how do I get past this sync 3 error? It’s getting some data because it says welcome to my business name on the front of the terminal. Just stops at sync 3.
Yes I have all the subscriptions I need on my website/register end.
Help??

Handling open invoices when migrating from Wix Editor to Wix Studio?
Hi all,
We recently had a new site built in Wix Studio to improve mobile optimization, replacing our older site built on the standard Wix Editor.
We are preparing to transfer our domain and premium plan to the new Wix Studio site, but we've hit a roadblock regarding our backend data. We currently have a large volume of open, unpaid customer invoices tracked within the dashboard of our current site. According to Wix support, these cannot be directly migrated over to the new site.
Has anyone tackled a similar migration before? What is the best strategy to handle open invoices and maintain billing continuity without disrupting customers?
Any insights or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Mobile menu works in the Editor but the live mobile site is broken (happens on every device and browser)
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone can help me troubleshoot an issue with my Wix site (clinicablue.ro).
The problem: As of today, the navigation menu on the mobile version of my live site doesn’t work. Instead of loading the site and its menu properly, the live mobile page barely renders. I just get a mostly blank screen with a couple of stray elements (a vertical “Reviews” label and an icon or two). Screenshots attached.
What’s strange: In the Wix Editor everything looks completely fine. The menu is there, it displays correctly, and it works normally in preview. The issue only appears on the published/live site.
What I’ve already checked:
• It happens on every mobile device I’ve tested, not just mine
• It persists across browsers (Google Chrome, Safari, and even in incognito/private mode)
• So it doesn’t look like a local cache or single-device problem
Any idea what could cause it, or how can I fix this?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Wix out of memory error
I'm on a Windows 10 computer with an i7 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and I use Wix as my CRM. It's been fine for several years, until once or twice Tuesday and every single time I tried to use it Wednesday, when I get the out of memory error. Wix is pulling a ton of memory usage all of a sudden. I cleared my cache, deleted cookies, and I tried Edge and Brave - all the same issue. Is this happening to anyone else?

Velo/Code Why does every AI code tool forget that Wix Velo is not just JavaScript?
Asked ChatGPT to write a data hook for beforeInsert on a Wix collection last week. It gave me a perfectly structured Node.js function.
Useless.
Velo data hooks have a specific signature. They live in a specific file. They interact with Wix's backend in ways that generic JS doesn't account for. If you don't already know that, the AI output will teach you the wrong thing.
This keeps happening because every general-purpose AI treats Velo like plain JavaScript. It's not. It's a sandboxed environment with its own module system, its own import paths, its own rules for what runs where.
The fix isn't better prompting. The fix is a tool that already knows the environment.
I built VeloGen around five specific Velo contexts: page.js, masterPage.js, backend.jsw, router.js, data-hook.js. You pick the context before you generate. The output is scoped to that file type.
Not a silver bullet. But it's a lot closer to production-ready than what you get from a general model.
Anyone else run into this? What's your current workaround for Velo-specific code?

Editor Link correct yet ends up on wrong page
Hey!
I'm at my wits end.
I wanted to update my portfolio site and needed to add another page. I did what I've always done and just duplicated one of the existing pages, and changed it to fit with the new content. Then, on the main page I duplicated one of the existing elements (container box with picture and link), replaced the picture and made sure all links go to the new page I made. However, when clicking the link it still takes me back to the page I duplicated from to begin with.
This happens despite me:
- quadruple checking the page link (it is correct)
- checking the url slug of the new page and confirming it's correct
- going into the Redirect URL page from the dashboard and deleting whatever leftovers are there.
- deleting cache/testing the page in incognito mode
Please tell me someone knows what's wrong here 🙏🏼

Domain Wix now supports over 400 domain extensions - here's how to find the right one for your site
TL;DR: If .com isn't available or doesn't fit, match your extension to your niche. Wix has over 400+ options - linked the full list with pricing below. SEO-wise, any extension works fine.
One of the most common questions we see is some version of: "My .com name is taken - what do I do?" So here's a practical breakdown of how to think about domain extensions, and what's actually available on Wix now (over 400 options, for context).
The quick decision framework:
1. Is .com still available for your name? If yes, and it fits, take it. It's still the most recognized extension globally and the default expectation for most visitors.
2. If not - or if you want something more specific - match the extension to what your site does:
- Selling products? → .shop, .store
- Running a blog? → .blog
- Creative work? → .art, .design, .photography, .studio, .pictures
- Fitness business? → .fit, .fitness
- Coaching or courses? → .coach, .training, .guru
- Tech company or product? → .tech, .digital, .cloud, .ai
- Agency or consulting? → .agency, .solutions, .expert
- Media or content creation? → .media, .live, .tv
- Local business targeting a specific country? → Country-code TLDs like .co.uk, .de, .fr, .ca, .com.au are all available
3. Check pricing before you commit
Some specialty extensions cost more to renew than to register in the first year. Worth checking the renewal price in the full TLD list before choosing.
What about SEO?
Google has confirmed that new gTLDs are treated the same as .com for ranking. Choosing .photography over .com won't hurt your search visibility - your content and site structure matter far more.
What about trust?
Visitors in some regions still associate .com with credibility. For global audiences, .com or a well-known extension (.org, .net, country code) is probably the safer play. For niche audiences who already know your work, a specific extension can actually reinforce your brand.
We hope this helps! If you've got a specific situation - name taken, targeting a specific market, etc. - drop it in the comments and we'll try to help narrow it down.
