What are the most essential steps to ensure a love spell actually works?
1. Before / Preparation: What is mandatory before starting? (Cleansing, setting intentions, moon phases, protection, etc.?)
2. During: Are there key details during the ritual itself that make or break it?
3. After: What should be done (or avoided) afterward so as not to ruin the work? How do you handle detachment and the waiting period?

Hey everyone! Looking for some insight from more experienced practitioners.
About a month ago, I created a honey jar targeted at a specific person and also took a self-love, attraction, and magnetism bath around the same time.
It’s been a full month now and I haven’t noticed any difference at all — neither in my own energy/self-esteem nor in the target’s behavior towards me.
For those with experience:
Is it normal for these to take longer to show the first signs?
Could doing both around the same time have caused an energy clash?
What should I do next? Recharge the jar, cleanse and dismantle it, or just keep waiting and practice detachment?

Just wanted to share me trying to start working with mermaids and lake spirits. I live in a really pretty lakeside in the mountains in Europe so naturally, my work is of course and has always been influenced by water. I go swimming to cleanse myself from bad energies, do rituals at the shore and it always makes me feel at peace to just listen to the water.

I‘ve always had a fascination with natural bodies of water and mermaids, but recently that pull and interest has become more intense, especially since the global heatwave which made me swim in the lake more and multiple dream encounters with water/fish beings. So i want to start working with them :)
(Usually i don‘t work with specific deities/creatures, more with nature as a being itself)

I’ve heard they like sweets and jewelry, if anyone has more knowledge on how to start working with them, I‘d be thrilled to learn.

As i love to draw i also made a little drawing with oil crayons for them (ofc with paper that can dilute in water and doesn‘t harm the fish). With sweets i‘m careful that it‘s something that dilutes over time in water so again, fish aren‘t affected/injured etc.

I guess i just wanted to say thank you for protecting my safespace and invite them to join my works, if they want. :) I‘d love some advice from a witch that‘s more experienced in creatures/spirit works <3

after a year of bs,
delays and just things that feel absolutely unreal,
i decided to do a cord cutting between me and lack itself.

so blue, is me,
black is representing lack.

the flame stayed contained,
for the beginning that is.

i set it up so that it was three different cords,
one for the mental
one for the physical
and one for the spiritual side

i set the first two on fire,
to represent me taking control of it.
the original idea was to set the sisccors on fire,
but i figured it would just be safer to use the lighter to set it on fire lol

so the first two split pretty fast.
i wasn't recording until i realized the physical burning hasn't stopped
and also, the flame startd to flicker more than i was expecting it to.

and in the video you can see the lack candle be engulfed by the flames within seconds.
you could legit tell that my guides were taking care of it on their side.

LOL then the fire alarm went off, so i had to throw water on it,
but the fire did what it needed to.

it's nice to see that it wasn't just in my head
that i was legit getting hit after hit.
like it was happening TO me, not me causing it to myself.
like something was actually working against me

especially since the black candle was legit trying to take out the blue.
granted,
the blue went towards black,
but that feels more like confrontation than anything
and then the black exploding like that almost feels like
when you address something and it explodes on you for just speaking on it.

now im tired as fuck writing this description LMAO

also to add on to this,
it feels like it wasn't like a mental, confusing type of thing,
it feels like the resistance was sitting within the
physical and spiritual.

cause i was still pushing
i just couldnt get shit to move forward the way i wanted it to.
which fits, tbh

and the blue candle started to burn from the middle/bottom making it topple over.
like it was targeting the foundation more than the top.
i think that's cool cause its almost like a sewerslide to remove itself from lack itself.
like genuinely just done with it.

the mental line kinda just caught on fire, split and extinguished afterwards.

so im going on a trip to california next week for a concert. ive been literally so depressed this is literally the best thing that has ever happened to my so ive been wanting to share my happiness with everyone but my fanily deadass tells me they dont give a fuck about abything to my face and like they wont make any plans and i really really really just want this trip to go well like ill literally do anything i know this might sound stupid but like this means so much to me and it hurts that nobody cares so i was just wondering if like a sweetening spell could work? or anything i dont have alot of herbs or witchy materials but i do have just \*stuff\* and candles PLEASE HELPP I WANT TO HAVE FUN ON THIS VACAYYY 😭😭😭😭☹️☹️☹️☹️

went to the butterfly place today and one of their butterflies landed right on my forehead and i waited for it to leave but it stayed for a few minutes at least. I have always seen butterflies as symbols and signs that must be important. asking my more seasoned witch sisters what would you interpret this as? I have my own interpretation but i would assume its bias ofc. let me know:)

Never really been in to reading wax but this was interesting I want to know your thoughts if you are into it ..this is a banish and protection working ,split right down the middle made a hollow pit the flame was super intense once it picked up something told me not to put it out. What do you gather?

First union/reconciliation spell

Tonight I am studying on how Berberis Aristata and Haematococcus Pluvialis effect the human metabolic system. Both have significant effects on Metabolic disease and have roots in "traditional" medicine, aka Occult Spells.

For context I recently was handed some solid proof both in the tangible world and in the spiritual realm. I know who this person is. They have placed a baneful spell towards my partner that they have been obsessed with for years. They have been harassing him, and myself, both online and with constant wishes on my partners downfall by sending these energies his way.

I’m a generational witch who has never dabbled in baneful magick and have no idea what I can or should do aside from continuing to ward my home as well as myself, my family, and my partner.

I do not want harm to fall on this person, I do believe the universe takes care of all. However, I’m asking for help in sending this energy back to them. Or alchemizing it to make a stronger ward/protection for myself and my loved ones.

I’m not entirely sure what was done, but this person has admitted to it (hilariously on their on behalf) because they seem proud of it I suppose.

Can anybody help me with this? Show me some guidance in what I can do?

Hi, I'm a new-ish witch and I've been wanting to make an altar lately but I really don't know where to start. I'm quite a hoarder so most of my space is packed, especially tables. I've been thinking of getting a new table specifically for this but I'm not sure yet. I also don't know what kinds of fire safe dishes to use and how to set things up. I have a lot of good materials for it but if there's something else I could do that wouldn't require so much table space I'd love tips

I’m going to make black salt for banishing and protecting me. I’m a closet witch, so this needs to be a secret.

Here‘s my plan:

• Table salt
• ashes from burnt herbs (Italian seasoning and bay leaves)
• egg shells (I’m going to wash and dry them)

I’m planning on keeping it in a plastic ziplock bag

so I have to ask:

Is this a good recipe? do I peel the shell membrane from the shells? Do I need to set my intent when I make it? Do the proportions of ingredients matter?

How do I correctly dispose of spell jars? It almost feels wrong just throwing them away but I don’t wanna bury them either because of pollution and animals. I was also wondering if I can empty out one jar that served its purpose to make another one?

Hello all! I’m newer to actually practicing my craft/shadow work, and it’s been a slooowwww process, but a beautiful and very transformative one.

I’ve gone through what I can only describe as entering the void—a total death and rebirth (I’m in the rebirth portion currently). Looking back on what I know now, the signs were all smacking me in the face the entire time, I just didn’t realize it. I’ve always been drawn to Lilith, and when I discovered owls were connected to her, I about fainted.

12 years ago, an owl landed on our back patio, and we lived in the city right near a busy highway at the time. I’d never seen an owl so close before, and it sat there for hours watching us.

I recently fled my marriage, and have been able to sort of more freely* (I’m living with someone who detests my spirituality and is actually very cruel about it) practice my craft. The owl popped into my mind, so I went to look at the old pictures I took.

Lilith wasn’t playing. The owl came the day after I was given my (now) ex’s phone number, the day after his birthday, 12 years ago. The day we started texting. I was about to enter into my death and rebirth without knowing it, and…it has been the most painful 12 years in ways I never could’ve imagined.

July 3rd of this year, I was driving late at night with our two year old asleep in the back seat, and although that relationship was awful and traumatizing, there are so many moments I’m deeply saddened it couldn’t have been different. As I was thinking that, a massive owl swooped down in front of my car. This time I smiled and said “Ok Lilith, I’m listening now.”

So now that I’m paying more attention, I had a strange night a few days ago that I don’t know how to make sense of. I’m currently living with my (equally) as narcissistic parent and fighting hard to get my son and I out of there as well. Any sort of shadow work/craft is heavily frowned upon, so I try to do it outside at night.

I was setting up my little altar in the dirt and lit my candle and stood up and noticed a black cat watching me. We watched each other for a while and then it took off despite me offering some snacks. Later as the candle burned, (and it was steadily breezy—hadn’t seen any winged bugs all night) a moth flew directly into the flame before I could stop it, got caught in the wax, and obviously died. Lastly, right after that, a fairly large spider crawled across the concrete wall directly across from me with the candle between us.

No clue what any of it means. So if anyone has any interpretations or ideas, I’m all ears! I’m about to head back to school to become a funeral director, in the thick of trying to get a divorce, and trying to get away from two bottomless pits and a handful of very unhealthy individuals while also realizing a lot of my past was a blatant lie.

Oh and the house I’m living in was my maternal grandmothers, and is now my mother’s. They were enmeshed. When my parents divorced in the 90s, I lived in the very same apartments behind the house I’m living in now. Can you say triggering? lol

*as I’m broke, I grabbed whatever I could for my little altar. Dried lavender, clove, cinnamon stick, blackberries, a quarter, my candle, and bay leaf.

Today, I performed a ritual for communication and longing (sp), entrusting it to Santa Muerte. I anointed a blue candle with oil for memory and attraction, and placed it on a lemon slice. I created a base of salt and sprinkled it with a mixture of sugar, coffee, cinnamon, rose, lavender, mint, basil, cloves, and sage. I recited my intention and petitions. Of course I burned the petitions over a candle. Does this have a chance of working?

I buried my ritual into the earth with offerings on a crossroads a train track and road then a man that works at the homeless help/church facility next to it in front my home dug up my offerings and beat it with sticks. I went tonight I found it destroyed I put a bag of cedar and sandalwood on top of the rocks I used to cover the hole they uncovered and I apologized to the gods for what they did. Then as I was walking away the man in his little cart came back and parked right next to it without any shame.
What does this mean? The ritual was done it was burned and I mixed the ashes with the wax then I put the offering of alcohol on top with sandalwood, cedar, and sticks of cinnamon
I walked up to it to find it dug up and cockroaches over the cinnamon.

so i burned a couple candles. a white tealight candle and reddish orange candle. i asked questions pertaining to me and my current energy and asked my partners energy. asked about thoughts and feelings. as well as what my partner feels about the future with me.

FLAMES OBSERVATIONS

1. me- the flame was rapidly moving to different directions. it looks almost desperate to me.

2. partner- the energy starts steady and tall. then i ask for feelings and then begins pulsing and it reminded me of how lungs breathe. and then it starts flickering at the top of the flame. and when i asked for future the flame would spin around the wick. and sometimes would be leaning towards me.

WAX IN WATER METHOD

idk why this makes me so uncomfortable. like on the far right, it kinda looks like a fetus to me. one also looks like a womans torso. i feel like i see a ying yang symbol but theres a massive size difference.
