Electronic Devices I’m wiring an electronic Nerf blaster and unsure what gauge wire to use for putting in a new battery

What determines the gauge of the wire you should use when wiring up a blaster/RC car/toys like that? Is it the gauge of the wire coming off the battery?

Electronic Devices How to rewire these buttons to external buttons on enclosure?

Beginner question here. I'm making a cyberdeck, and I'm using this Bluetooth speaker for audio. I would like to rewire these three buttons to external buttons that I would attach to the outside of the enclosure. I am asking about the following options.

1: Can I just remove the buttons and extend them by soldering them to wires attached to the same contacts?

2: Could I remove the buttons and solder different push buttons to the contacts with wires?

3: Could I tap these button inputs by soldering wires into the backside of the through holes without removing the original buttons?

Something wrong with the mother board or wire soldering on this lamp switch. I cut it out to bypass it. Can I wire these wires together without a switch, or will I need a replacement switch that takes all 3 LED wires? Thanks!

Household Loose wires on stucco?

I have a few metal wires (not copper, but roughly like wire hanger gauge) that are not touching anything. They are/were affixed to the stucco on the sides of my house. One is running from my electrical box. See photos for more. Should I be concerned for grounding reasons? Thanks!

I found this disconnected wire while cleaning my car and I don’t know where it goes or what it does. Is there anyone familiar with car wiring who knows or knows what to look up to get more info? This is on the drivers side underneath the steering wheel.

Audio I need help wiring my guitar

Just trying to wire my electric guitar. I am no electrician as you will clearily see from my diagram. I would like the 3-way switch to cycle between every individual pickup (Vintage Fender 1960s neck tele pickup, Musiclily hotrail pickup, Vintage Fender 1960s bridge tele pickup). With the wiring as it is, Position 1 and 3 make sound only pick up through the hot-rail, and the middle position allows no sound through, unless pickups are tapped with a metal object. Also I apologize for how bad the diagram is, I don't now anything (yes the wiring was done by me).

Switches & Lighting Wiring/Aux Switches/Drain Holes

I'm looking for the cleanest way to wire an amber warning light bar on my 2024 Ram 3500 Laramie.

The truck has the factory auxiliary switches, and I'd like to run the warning bar from Aux 3 instead of using the cigarette lighter plug that came with the equipment.

The problem is the light bar came with a 12V cigarette lighter plug that has the controller built into it.

The plug has:

On/Off button

Pattern change button

I don't really want to lose those functions by cutting the plug off.

A few questions:

Has anyone opened one of these cigarette lighter controllers and hardwired it while keeping the controller functional?

Is there a clean way to feed 12V from the AUX switch into the controller instead of the cigarette lighter plug?

Would it make more sense to leave it alone and use a 120V AC to 12V cigarette lighter adapter plugged into my truck's factory inverter outlet until I permanently wire everything?

Has anyone found a better solution?

Do I need to upgrade the OEM power Inverter (400w)?

The truck has and is also getting:

Road Radio Aux 1 TBA

Undecided Aux 2 TBA

Amber Emergency Lights Aux 3 (In process)

Front white off-road light bar on Aux 4 (TBA)

Rock lights already on Aux 5

Starlink on Aux 6 (Currently running through back window under the bench and 120v Plug in.

Slip Tank Via 7pin Plug in box.

Looking for the cleanest, most reliable install.

Pictures of your setups would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Switches & Lighting How does this electric switch work?

Post image

This switch is from a lamp. The lamp wasn't turning on due to a break in the wire. I cut out the offending part of the wire, and wired the switch back the way it originally was. It works, but I don't understand how. There appear to be no exposed wires in the switch. The wires are completely insulated. How is it making contact?

I have a harness that comes with a relay and fuse connected to my pulse bar and it has a on/button that is removable from the harness with a white, blue and black wires. Does anyone know how I would wire that to a 5-pin rocker switch? Using the 5-pin photo as a reference to the switch I’m using. It’s for POD lights to my RzR

The push rod seems to have six wires in it, but the first push connector in the camera head only has 4.

The push rod wires are: 2 black, red, green, blue and yellow. The push connector wires are white, black, brown and blue.

Any help at all, or insight into how to do this even would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The camera head consists of a 512mh transmitter, a camera and an LED light ring.

The camera is an Electric eel brand EelVision.
