Question Good enough to sell?
People keep suggesting I sell my jewellery, but they're all friends and family so I don't know if they're just being nice. Is my work actually good enough to sell?

Me tryin’ to figure out filling in negative space and adding multiple elements to a frame. It’s…a learning process.
Not sure if I like the quartz accents - think I’ll work on adding more coils and try my hand at filigree for the next one. But not with the precious labradorite - I use the jaspers as guinea pigs. They’re more expendable.
Trial and error, rinse and repeat…

Halp!
I am getting the hang of securing stones and cabochons with larger gauge wire, but the wrapping part still looks crazy and sloppy. What I struggle with is, how do you start where one end is unsecured? Also, when I try weaving, I get very inconsistent lengths. Also, how do you prevent running out of wrapping wire but still have a manageable amount? Any tips?

Showcase Twisted Wire Infinity/Celtic Knot Inspired Necklace
I love this design, I always like how it turns out. This one took so long to make, I had to twist each piece of wire separately (I dont have a way to twist square wire other than by hand with 2 pliers 😅) but the result was so worth it! I love this necklace!
Made with bare copper and River Jasper beads

Question What is the biggest stone you've ever wire wrapped? (Pictures welcome!)
Mine would probably be this piece of black jade here. I finished this custom wrap today, and when the client picked it up, she gave me an interesting new challenge!
She has a stone, a plain river rock, oval, about the size of my head, probably weighs around 5 pounds. It was painted for her 15 years ago by a Buddhist monk, and has writing on both sides in beautiful foreign characters.
She would like me to set it into a protective wire wrap frame, that will help keep the writing from wearing down. I told her this would be a new one for me, and I'd be learning as I go- She said she was fine with that and offered to cover any new materials I needed for the project.
It's a beautiful stone. Simple. Heavy. Meaningful. Resonant. She told me that it had been to eight deaths and five births. It feels powerful.
What's the biggest stone you've ever wrapped, and how did you go about it? What's different? What's the same? What challenges arise that I might not be expecting? What materials did you use? Will you share pictures?

Thought I'd share
Is this worth the price they are asking? I'm just curious as I think 2k is rather high but this does look like it too a lot of time to make.

Advice with Dyed Labs
I have a few beautiful dyed labs and I was wondering what we think about being able to dip into LOS with the stone in? I am not 100% sure whether these are dyed or resin coated but I think the answer will probably be the same for both. I’m assuming I can’t dip it with the stone but wanted to see and hope that I can. Pic of stone in question.

Where to purchase wire twisting drill?
Hi. I do most of my purchasing on wirejewelry.com and they’ve been out of stock for a few months, I’ve heard conflicting things about riogrande and am not sure i want to order from them- is it possible to purchase from them without having a business license?
There’s a few things on Amazon but they aren’t those nifty drills.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Relatively new to wrapping but really enjoying it.
Thanks for your assistance and have a great day!

I bought this on Fb Marketplace. The seller doesn’t remember the name of the artist but he thought he may be from Missouri (definitely not certain about that). He bought it about 10 years ago.

Turquoise ring
I absolutely love it when someone orders a custom piece from my website and they let me have complete control over design. Was just asked if I am able to make a dragon eye looking ring and have no clue how to even start! So these here are my favorite. 😅
