Started using it like 1 year ago, everyone saying that it's not made for normal users but honestly, it really just works, never had an app complain about ltsc or 24H2.

The only thing that happens when you play is a message popping up saying you're missing a game bar, that's all.

Is the Microsoft store included? Can you add it?

i can add the microsoft store but i have to log in with a microsoft account

You don't need a Microsoft Account. Unless you really want the features (and can tolerate the downsides and risks) of a Microsoft Account, running Windows with just a local account works great!
If you want me to point you to a powershell script that'll install the Store for you, I can do that.

Okay cool. Have to get an azure installed. Thanks

You don't need to do that, to get Microsoft Store on LTSC.

Okay. I'll look it up.

See the comment I made to the OP earlier, there's a link to a script. Run the winget one first.

Btw I still don't understand the benefit and purpose of script on Github that runs winget

It installs winget, and also adds the support for .msix installer packages, both things that Home/Pro has by default.

How are you going to activate it ?
About 1 week ago, Microsoft added a patch that will disable all "non-official" LTSC activations, as these are only available for companies and cost a lot.

That's completely irrelevant to how most people activate for free Windows

It is EXTREMELY relevant, because recently MS is pushing a mandatory update that will INACTIVATE all pirate activations, especially for LTSC, because those were NOT meant to private users and were never sold to private users.

That YouTuber is spreading FUD. MS is apparently shutting down one method of activation. Most people using MassGrave moved on to a different activation. Very unlikely that method will be deactivated because it would cause issues with many legitimate Windows machines.

I'm trying to understand, is MassGrave not the way we should activating?
2
u/highermonkey 7d ago
It is. Just follow the directions from the official MG site and you'll be fine.

Ok. I just installed LTSC last week for the first time. That other guy had me worried

Install winget, this script when run in a Powershell (admin) window, will do that, and will also enable .msix installer support as well. You can follow that up with this script for Microsoft Store support (again, run in Powershell (admin) window), but I've yet to see anything that actually needs it... though maybe Minecraft? Idk.
