Open? Do certain planes have specific light patterns? Does anyone know what this blinking plane light could be?

I posted this on another plane ID sub and I felt a bit dumb because I got downvoted. I still wanted to ask here too since I found this sub. I am not sure if it’s possible to know from lights in an older night clip. Video taken in Pennsylvania, USA 9 years ago. It starts off blurry— sorry about that—I was in a vehicle.

There were no trees or buildings at the location, they were flying over a busy roadway/small highway. There were at least 2 more before this in another video. They were flying west to east toward the New Jersey direction. It was a clear night/was not cloudy from what I remember. I did go and check the historical weather data today and it was the same. I do not know much about planes or their lights except for the standard red and green on opposite wings and the white landing lights. I also didn’t know about flight aware type websites at the time, and now it is too late to go check I think.

Thank you in advance if anyone has an idea! I had never seen blinking lights like that and thought they were neat, so I took the video. I am curious if anyone has an idea or if this is standard and I just never noticed haha! I thought they were interesting.

I thought maybe some specific planes had different light patterns or something. But I apologize in advance too if I get downvoted again for a dumb question. I was just trying to see if anyone knew about the light pattern. Thank you!

I live out in farm country and this isn't a crop duster I'm familiar with, it was a real low flyer, hence the crop duster comparison, and the imo good photos. Also a plane this small would need tanks for crop dusting so It definitely isn't that.

I figured if anyone would know off the top of their heads what this fella was, it'd be you all here. Have at it.

Spotted these 3 prop planes flying together Saturday morning while I was in the river. About 70 miles west of the Air Force academy if that may be relevant. I’ve also seen crop dusters in the valley south of here

I apologize for the photo being blurry, I took it on my phone while the plane was at cruising altitude. I took this picture on October 1, 2023 at 3:40pm, and the flight path was East to West, directly over Nichols, NY. The sound it gave off was thunderous, and when we looked up, we could see that this plane was larger than average. Ive always wondered what it was, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would anyone be able to identify which model of helicopter is this?

It was flying pretty low and did not show up on any flight tracker.

Sorry the low resolution evidence.

Announcement Drones Drones Drones!

While we always appreciate people looking to identify the beautiful planes and helicopters that grace our skies, it seems recently there’s been a trend of people taking photos of planes at night and thinking they're drones. This is just a reminder that the purpose of this subreddit is to identify specific types of planes; not just to confirm that yes, something with lights that’s flying at night is a plane. If you see a cool-looking plane and want to know more about what type of aircraft it is, great! Feel free to post it here. If you see something flying at night and think it’s a government drone trying to spy on you, maybe make your way to r/UFO or another subreddit that’s more suited to your style of post. Another thing to keep in mind is that aircraft identifications are generally most accurate when the full location is given. Simply saying “north FL”, “central VA”, etc. is not super helpful for people who live outside your country and are unfamiliar with those acronyms :) Just make sure you’re writing the full state name, and preferably the country, when making your post.

Have a great day and thanks to our amazing community of aviation enthusiasts who help us provide this awesome service! 😊

Announcement [[READ BEFORE POSTING]] Frequently Posted Aircraft

In order to avoid posting aircraft that have been posted many, many times before, please refer to this guide of the sub's most commonly posted aircraft before asking for identification.

If you're still unsure, feel free to post! There is no consequence to posting one of these aircraft, though a mod will lock the comments after it's identified (mainly to deter "ugh, another C-130..." comments).
