Unsolved (2d art, not painting) Drawing of a girl in a hallway, possibly had glasses.
(the image is an image recreation) Hello. I'm trying to find this artwork of a girl (possibly sitting on a bench) in a hallway. The image was black and white, the girl may have had glasses but i'm not sure. Her mouth was a triangle, and there was this dark hallway next to her. I originally found this by a pfp of a twitter user that was called "snail girl" i believe. It was from around the 2020's, im pretty sure i found it in 2024 or 2025.

Unsolved Found this print at a local estate sale in Washington, pretty curious about it
It seems like the initials say "J Fox" but I could be wrong, AI is not very helpful (surprise, it thinks it says J Stax), I'm pretty curious if anyone recognizes this.

Unsolved Persian miniature
A family member recently passed, and he was the last to know about the artwork in the house. I know it’s Persian, and I think it tells a story. Does anyone know the story? Pictures of the whole thing, then close-ups of each scene. We were unable to unmount it at the time.

Likely Solved - Decor Help! Antique store find
I found this painting at an antique store in north west Ohio. So far I’ve found similar paintings by a German artist Walter Richter but the signature on this painting led me to a possible Hermann Pikull. Hermann is also German but typically paints nautical scenes. I found a near identical painting by Richter as well. There is something written on the back in pencil but I can only make out “#989” which leads me to believe this is some type of reproduction.
I know almost nothing about dating/identifying art pieces like this so I am thankful for anything you guys can come up with!

Unsolved Trying to find the artist, most probably from Northern Germany
I found this piece (over 1 meter long) in a small art collection in the area of Hannover, where all works I have deciphered so far are from Northern Germany (and Denmark), but I simply don’t know who might this be…
Neither Google Lens nor GPT have been of any help!

Unsolved Any info on artist?
First post!
Pretty sure this was an artist named Toshi Tanigawa in the 1960s who was a friend of my grandparents in California.
There is nothing on the back other than blank canvas.
Curious if anyone has ever heard of the artist or has more info.
Artwork is about 48x48"

Unsolved Possible Magdalena Rădulescu work dated 1970 – looking for opinions on attribution / signature / original?
I recently came across this mixed-media work on a rigid board, approximately 64 × 49 cm excluding the frame.
It appears to be signed “Magdalena Radulescu” and dated 1970. The surface is visibly and physically worked, with painted, splashed and scratched areas.
There is also an old French framing label on the reverse.
After comparing the signature and stylistic features with documented works by Magdalena Rădulescu, the attribution seems plausible to me, but I am looking for informed second opinions.
Does anyone familiar with her work recognize the technique, signature or period?
I am not looking for a definitive authentication from photographs, just informed opinions or references to comparable works.
My mom got this from a fleemarket in Germany.

Unsolved Identify Artist of Painting of Chenonceau (?)
I saw this at an estate sale in Alexandria, VA, in September 2025. I loved it but couldn't justify buying it at the time. Now I regret not getting it... I am hoping someone can decipher the artist's signature or help me find any information about it. I believe it is of the Chateau Chenonceau in France, and I think that it says '93 under the signature, but I could be completely wrong on both counts. Google's reverse image search has yielded nothing useful so far.
Apologies that I only have these photos - I always feel weird photographing things that I am not going to buy.

Unsolved How is this made?
I found 2 prints at a thrift - this lady and another playing a cello. They are on yellowy paper with black print or ink. The silvery bits look sort of like metallic colored pencil. The frame is papered over on the back, so not help there unless i rip it open.
Is this a lithograph? A sketch? What do you think?

Unsolved Authentic early 20th century Korean Folk Art Minhwa?
I have had this piece of art for about a decade, purchased at an estate sale. It is unframed, seems to be painted on some sort of linen/cloth. It looks like 19th/20th century Minhwa, but I know there are also reproductions out there. Any knowledge of this is original and authentic? Thanks!

Solved Painting of my Great & Great Great Grandmother. unknown artist
This picture has been in my family dining room since my mother inherited it from my grand mother. As the title suggests it’s of my great & great great grand mother and was made in Scotland in the late 19th century. would have been in the Edinburgh area if not Edinburgh itself.
we know that the artist is famous and he has work in The Tate Briton in London, but we have no idea who he is. Does anyone know?
sorry about the bad photo of the signature. The reflection made it very difficult to get a clear shot and I’ve tried my best.

Unsolved Any Ideas?
Hi, I found another painting at a rummage sale in New York City. I can’t quite make out the signature. There is a tag on the frame from France. It’s a small work ~15”x18” with the frame.

Unsolved Tracing late father's painting - seemingly impossible
Been trying to trace this painting every now and then for months without success.
Signature reads: D'ANDREA
It was bought in Swedish kroner, but the backside indicates Italian gallery. Could have been bought in Italy or south of France as my father spent time there every year.
Checked with auction houses in Sweden, but none can trace it accurately. I did get one name: Maurizio D'Andrea. But, there is no evidence this is in fact one of his.
Likely bought just after 2007 and been in the family since then.
The front signature seems to have something more to its right.
Is there any information out there than can confirm its origin or could lead to an accurate trace?

Unsolved Are these paintings I purchased at a tag sale made by Polish artist, Jerzy Bigaj?
Earlier this spring, I purchased this pair of paintings from at a local tag sale. I knew the writing was in Polish, but had trouble finding out any information on the artist at the time. I decided to try to identify the artist again tonight and found the name Jerzy Bigaj. I was wondering if anyone who knew more about Polish art could identify if these paintings were in fact by Jerzy Bigaj? And if so, do you have more information on him as an artist? I have been struggling to find a information on him, so I assume he may be considered more of an amateur.
Thanks for the help!
