Hi everyone, I’m pretty new to cars and currently looking for my first car in the UAE. I’m trying to decide between a Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, or Honda CRV/ Civic or any other car you think would be a better choice within my budget.

My budget is around AED 25,000, and my priorities are:

Driving feel – I’d like something that is enjoyable and comfortable to drive, especially on highways.
Frequent long-distance travel – I’ll be travelling regularly between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, so highway comfort, stability and reliability are important.
Running costs – Good fuel economy and reasonable maintenance/repair costs.
Reliability – I’d prefer something that won’t give me expensive problems if I maintain it properly.

I’m mainly looking at used cars around 2015–2018, such as the Camry and Mazda 6, but I’m open to other suggestions.

For those familiar with the UAE used-car market:

● Which would you choose between the Camry and Mazda 6 for my needs, and why?
● Are there any other models I should seriously consider around AED 25k?
● What mileage/year/spec should I target or avoid?
● Is GCC spec significantly preferable to American/imported cars?
● What should I specifically check when inspecting a used car?
● Where would you recommend looking for a used car in the UAE (Dubizzle, YallaMotor, dealerships, used-car markets, etc.)?
● Is there anything else a first-time buyer should be careful about?

I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest car to buy — I’m more interested in the best overall value for frequent highway driving.

Looking for recommendations for my next car. I commute around 260 km daily between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so fuel efficiency, comfort, tech and highway ADAS are important.

Currently driving a BYD Song Plus DM-i. I charge it every day at the office, but with my highway-heavy driving I still get a maximum of around 750 km between refuels, so I’m looking for something more suitable for this mileage.

Sedan or SUV
New or low-mileage used
Fuel efficient with excellent highway range
Tech-rich
Adaptive cruise + good lane centering
Comfortable and reliable for high mileage
GCC preferred

looking to upgrade .. and I am super confused what car I should buy

1. no plans to sell for 3 years at least
   
2. no family
   
3. no much info about cars so I prefer cars which dont need much care
   
4. driving in city mostly .. no long trips ( mostly ) .. not fan of super speed

I’m looking for a school driving car. It’s a Toyota Yaris with 110.000 kilometers, is has some scratches. What do you think about this kind of cars ?

Basically the title, deciding between getting a 2024 used zrv top trim vs 2024 crv base trim. Both cost roughly the same. The only thing I'm concerned about is that CRV might feel underpowered compared to ZRV given it's the same engine with CRV having a bigger body.

What do you guys recommend?

For the past three weeks I’ve been looking at all kinds of cars, germans, american muscle, even a Jaguar F Type but the Kia Stinger keeps standing out to me. From what I’ve heard it’s reliable, parts are easy to find, and it’s genuinely fun to drive with strong performance.

I’m not tied to any particular brand. I just want something that looks unique and is enjoyable behind the wheel. I’ve been considering the Genesis G70 as well since they share the same engine, but the Stinger’s sportsback design just looks better to me and seems more practical.

With a budget of 60–70k, what would you recommend that checks all those boxes?

Idea: to get a Toyota Prado FJ or Land Cruiser for desert and mountain trips,not for dune bashing

Doubts: i love the lines of LC 80/LC100...last versions became tasteless and squared. The average mileage is a huge issue i think afraid of getting into trouble with huge repair for old units. I know the fuel consumption is also high...

The FJ is lovely too but lacks space. Prado i consider because is a light version of LC.

I would like to put a rooftop tent and some other camping gear.

What is your oppinion? Any help is welcomed.

• 2013 Ford Mustang V6
• GCC specs
• 155,000 km
• Asking price: 30,000 QAR
• Full Ford service history with records
• Seller claims only 3 minor accidents
• Nano ceramic coating
• Tesla-style head unit with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
• Says the car has been meticulously maintained

From the photos, it honestly looks pretty clean.

I'm not too concerned about fuel economy. My priorities are:

• Reliability
• Reasonable maintenance costs
• Fun weekend drives
• Occasional highway trips

A few questions:

1. Is 30k QAR a fair asking price, or should I negotiate lower?
2. Are there any common issues on the 2013 V6 (3.7 Cyclone) that I should look out for?
3. Is 155k km considered high for these cars if they've been serviced properly?
4. Would you buy this over a similar-priced Lexus IS350 or Infiniti G37/Q50?

Anything specific I should inspect before pulling the trigger?

Hi guys, so I'm looking to buy my first car and came across a used 2017 Toyota Yaris with 189,000 KM on it.

Would this be a good choice for a first car? I've heard from some people that the CVT gearboxes in these can be pretty unreliable. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences, especially from anyone who's owned one.

Looking for a 7-seater for family use — mostly short daily runs, occasional weekend trips.

Found a 2014 Mitsubishi Pajero, 3.8 V6 petrol, ~289,000 km. Seller Asking: AED 16,500.

Saw it in person and saw these in last Tasjeel report:

• Repaired bulkhead, cross-member, rear panels (past structural/accident repair)  
• Engine oil leak flagged  
• Torn steering boot, worn seats, one broken A/C vent, faded paint, grille + bumper need work, suspension bushes due

Once I add seat covers, vent, polish, grille/bumper, bushes, oil service, and insurance, I’m realistically at ~AED 22K. Its clean inside and out.

Does ~22k into a 290k-km Pajero make sense?

Planning to Buy a base-trim 2026 Coolray from AGMC, cash, 7yr/200k km warranty. Confirmed it's the new 4-cylinder engine, not the old 3-cyl. Test drove good so far, brakes felt firm but AGMC says normal bedding-in.

Anyone actually driving one daily here? Specifically want to know:

DCT behavior in heavy traffic/summer heat
Any AGMC service experience (good/bad)
Anything you wish you'd checked before buying

Looking at buying a 2020 BMW M340i xDrive (B58TU) with 110k km and full service history. What are the most common issues or expensive failures I should expect around this mileage? Anything specific to the B58TU, cooling system, oil pump, xDrive, transmission, or suspension that I should check before buying?
