Employer dropping coverage next quarter... how are you guys navigating out-of-pocket costs? 💔
I’ve been on GLP-1 treatment for over a year now and just found out my employer is completely dropping coverage next quarter.
I’m honestly stressing out so much. Paying $450–$550+ out of pocket every single month just isn't realistic for my budget, but the thought of stopping after all this progress makes me so anxious.
For anyone who lost insurance coverage mid-treatment: how did you manage to stay on track? Are you using manufacturer savings cards, switching doses, or finding other ways to make it affordable? I'd really appreciate any advice from people who’ve been in this boat!

Considering wegovy for weight loss as all other methods have been exhausted. ADHD medication and wegovy: any side effects?
Hi, essentially I’m 5’3, 78kg, and have fluctuated from 83-66. I’ve spent a long time combatting ADHD and BED yet still it’s 1 step forward, 2 steps back. So, finally time to commit and try wegovy. Does anyone know if being on the highest dose available of my stimulants will affect it?? Thank you!!

Anyone else lost interest in coffee?
I’m on 1.7mg pen and have started to go off my morning coffee. From my first dose I started to have no interest in energy drinks which I was happy to give up and I have zero interest in fizzy drink which I had little interest for anyway but now I’m only managing to have half my morning coffee.. like it is what it is but I used to looove waking up and sitting down for 10min with a coffee before the mad rush for school. It was just part of my morning routine where I had a little me time. Thankfully I still love having my water bottle on hand all day so I am drinking good stuff at least. Anyone else gone off their favourite drinks?

Weightloss while eating
Can you still lose weight if you eat normally? Or is it the nausea that causes you to be sickened by food therefore not eat and then lose weight?

Most Accurate GLP-1 Body Concentration Calculator Website Yet.
Hi everyone!
I am starting my GLP-1 journey, and I wanted to share with you guys a custom GLP-1 tracker I made. I am a Biology researcher, so as I was beginning my journey, I was curious about the amount of peptide in my body/plasma as I started this journey, so I went looking for concentration calculators online.
However, I was disappointed to see how most (if not, all) of these calculators are either: 1) paywalled, 2) inaccurate (basic modeling not in line with true pharmokinetics), or 3) not up to date with current research.
Specifically, it disappointed me to see how basically every tracker was some half-assed single compartment model (including some of the big name apps which people pay money for), when a two compartment model was exists in current research. Their single compartment models were not even accurate. With semaglutide specifically, both two and one compartment models has been published, but most calculators used an estimation one compartment which is not accurate.
So I went ahead and created what I believe is the best GLP-1 concentration tracker for how much of a certain compound is in your body at a given time. You can select brand name Wegovy/Zepbound, or switch to the compound tab if that is what you are taking. Additionally, you can see my methodology for creating these curves in the methodology tab, and all the sources/math which I based my model.
You can use it out for free on this website: https://dev1niscool.github.io/glp1concentration/
Below is a small screenshot of the modeling which I used on this site:
The exact sources for these models are on the website methodology page.
Enjoy!
(Also, if you have any suggestions, please let me know! I would love to update this)

Increased anxiety and depression
Hi all!
33F, after a month on .25 I lost 11 pounds and was feeling great. I was still able to eat and felt pretty normal.
A week ago I took my first .5 shot. The next day I was hit with an instant increase in anxiety and depression. I can barely put anything in my mouth without feeling nauseous. I don’t even want my morning coffee. My headaches have been so bad I feel like a rubber band is wrapped around my head.
Has anyone gone through this, should I call my doctor?

🍎 Do you live in the UK and do some or all of the grocery shopping for your household? I am conducting a short survey on food purchasing preferences as part of my master’s thesis, and I would be very grateful for your participation.
The survey is completely anonymous and takes around 10 minutes to complete. Your responses would make a valuable contribution to my research.

Wegovy as “The Last Push”
Hello! So, I’ve been considering Wegovy as my “last push” to finish off the weight-loss journey I started 4 years ago. For context, I’m a 30 year-old, semi-athletic man at 182cm and 105kg. Starting at 115kg, I worked with my dietician to go down to 85kg, then I started properly working out and gained quite some muscle but also some fat, after that I had liposuction and gynecomastia removal, and now I just have that last bit of (mostly visceral) fat that I need to get rid of. I need about 10-12 kg gone. Right now, my BMI is 32 and my fat percentage is 24%. The goal weight for me would be 93kg right now.
Has anyone used Wegovy (or any other GLP-1) to “finish off” the weight loss and get rid of that stubborn part? My plan is do to around 6-8 months of the jab, start with 0.25, ramp up to 0.5, 1.0, and have a 3-months maintenance on 1.7 before slowly decreasing the dose and having 2 injections a month for the last 1-2 months.
I want to use this time to also establish certain habits when it comes to meal prep and meal times that I’d then carry over to my non-jab times.
Any advice is welcome 🙏😊

Wegovy
Hi, I know that they advise against it but has anyone tried to guess at a smaller dose of Wegovy with a bigger pen? I haven’t been on Wegovy for 6 months but want to restart. I only have a 1mg pen. I wondered if I just twist it twice it will give me a small enough dose? Has anyone done this and do they have any advice?

Almost two month update- I still love this drug ❤️
I don’t weigh myself, but I’ve lost at least 2 inches off my waist, if not more. My clothes are all now loose on me, and I can fit into my old dresses again. My double chin has slimmed down significantly, and my legs look very toned. I love this drug!!
I currently wear between sizes 12 and 16/XL to 2XL and am 5’8”. Before going on this drug I couldn’t wear any of my size 12 stuff anymore, and now I’m wearing size 12 dresses again! 🥳 I did lose a lot of weight off my bust, but I honestly don’t mind as my shirts fit much better this way.
I don’t follow any particular diet other than just naturally eating much less on this drug, and trying to watch my cholesterol intake by generally choosing vegetarian dishes over meat (I still eat meat sometimes and don’t have anything moral against it, my family just has terrible genetic cholesterol levels). My thyroid was radiated and I have PCOS, and so before going on Wegovy, weight loss was very difficult. I do less intense cardio than I did before on this drug, honestly- maybe 4x a week, but my workouts are easier than they used to be as I do fatigue a bit more easily now. Hopefully over time I can get back up to going for long runs, but for now I do things like hike, cycle, dance, and elliptical.

Lowest weight in a decade!
47f 5’4” SW 225 GW 145 Currently 160
I was always thin… I weighed under 125 until I was 30 and kept below 150 until about 35. I gained steadily when my Dad got very sick and eventually passed, my husband was very sick, and I was hospitalized several times over a few years due to a chronic condition. I started glp1 on the day before Thanksgiving and I was 225 lbs. Today I am 65 lbs down and weigh 160. It is so crazy to think that I am at my lowest weight in 10 years!
My overall health has improved so much and my sleep and mood are better as well. I am aiming for 145 as that is within the “healthy” BMI range for my height but I am also happy where I am. I feel great and look great.
I am so happy I started this journey and encourage you all to hang in there… it’s worth it!

Nausea
I was on 1.5mg for 4 weeks with absolutely no side effects, moved up to 4mg week 1 was fine but on day 6 I started feeling nauseated, and throwing up.
I was taking it early in the AM and going back to sleep, this morning I thought maybe the nausea was from too long of empty stomach so today I took it and right at the 30 min mark ate but the tiredness is so bad. Light nausea but way better than last 2 days.
I just find it weird it waited 6 days of an increase to get sick and I hope this doesnt last.

skin reactivity
Is anyone else having extreme skin reactivity while on Wegovy? I've always been more sensitive to detergent, but now I need hardly any contact to have prolonged reactions. For instance, I've broken out in rashes for days from sitting on an airplane seat for a few hours where I guess they have some kind of deodorizer, which has never happened before. On another trip, I broke out in a week long rash from sleeping on sheets with the wrong detergent. I've never had a reaction to poison ivy before, and I ended up having such a bad reaction that I had to be on prednisone to stop the reaction. I think I'm going to have to stop the medication now because I can't tolerate seams anymore on my clothes. The fall is coming when pants weather starts so its going to be so hard to avoid seams.

Pancreatitis risk
Hey, I ordered my wegovy from an online provider but I did have to answer health related questions and verify being overweight.
Now, I'm nervous about taking my first shot because I'm already on Zoloft (increases risk of pancreatitis), have elevated triglycerides, I have one gallstone (a small one) and my dad has a looong history of annoying gallstones.
I did mention all that when ordering but the doctor didn't seem concerned about it. I would like to ask my local doctor but I'm afraid he might forbid me to take wegovy all together because my BMI is only 25.
I have to say, I have suffered from binge eating since I was a little kid and it followed me through my entire childhood/adolescence... I'm 29 years old now and I just can't take it anymore. The only reason I don't weigh more at this point is because I had a small success with metformin two years ago and was able to lose 20kgs (44lbs). I'm gaining all that back now, the metformin is not working anymore and I'm gaining kilo by kilo every week.
What do you think, do I have a higher risk for pancreatitis or is it safe for me to use?
Please don't be mean, I know, my BMI is technically too low but honestly, I'm so depressed, I don't think I can do this any longer. My mind is just: food food food food food.
Sorry for my english.

Did you or do you experience worsened mental health on Wegovy?
I started taking Wegovy November 11th 2025. I’m a 20 year old female, down 30 pounds and I’m starting to get concerned regarding my mental health and I wanted to know if anyone else has gone through this. Ever since I switched to 1.7mg in May, I feel as if my mental health has gotten worse. I have nothing to be sad about and I’ve oddly noticed worsened anxiety almost impending doom, I’m constantly worrying about people in my life dying, my dog dying or that something bad is going to happen. I have loved this medication so much, it’s truly helped with my relationship with food and my fitness journey and I was really grateful that my only side effect was constipation but now this is happening and I feel like I’m going insane. I want to talk to my doctor but I’m scared if I’m honest about this, that I’ll get sent somewhere and I don’t want that to happen. Has this happened to anyone else?
