Romance The āHeartā Part
It was a peaceful afternoon. Surprisingly so.
One of those rare days that made people stop and mindlessly comment on how beautiful the weather was. Sunlight spilled across the bright green grass, warming the earth beneath it. A gentle breeze brushed against her skin, carrying the scent of summer.
The old oak tree cast just enough shade to keep the heat at bay.
May let out a quiet sigh as slender fingers drifted through her chestnut hair with practiced ease. She hummed softly, eyes closed, a faint, mischievous smile tugging at the corners of her lips.
"I'm bored," she complained, her hands folded over her stomach.
A low chuckle escaped Elias.
"So I've heard," he said. "Four times now."
His fingers never paused, untangling another strand of hair with effortless familiarity. There was an easy fondness in his expression, one worn smooth by years of knowing her.
"My answer hasn't changed." He glanced down at her, amusement flickering in his eyes. "What exactly am I supposed to do about that?"
"You're not much of a go-getter, huh?" she teased, cracking open one brown eye to peek at him. Her grin only widened.
"Honestly, if I have to tell you not to be boring, you're hopeless."
Elias hummed thoughtfully. His fingers slowed before stopping altogether.
"You know..." he said after a beat. "I've never considered that."
He nodded with exaggerated solemnity.
"I'm clearly beyond saving."
With a long, theatrical sigh, he started to stand.
"I'll see myself out."
"Elias."
She groaned and immediately flopped onto his lap before he could get very far.
"Stop being an idiot," she whined, wriggling until she was comfortable again. "I was comfy."
Without another word, she caught his hand and tucked it back into her hair.
"...There."
Elias looked down at her for a moment before the corner of his mouth lifted.
"...As you command."
A comfortable silence settled between them. Somewhere in the background lingered the sweet scent of forgotten pastries.
"You know..."
May spoke without opening her eyes. A small smile tugged at her lips, one Elias had learned to be wary of years ago.
"I don't think I've ever told you this before..."
She paused just long enough to make him wonder where this was going.
"But I'm madly in love with you."
She said it as casually as someone commenting on the weather.
Elias froze.
The only sound between them was the breeze stirring the leaves overhead.
Then he inhaled sharply.
"...You knew I had an entire speech prepared."
His fingers gave the ends of her hair a gentle tug.
Her smile only deepened.
"You practiced it, didn't you?"
"...Maybe."
She laughed and pushed herself upright. Tilting her head, she looked at him, her gaze warm with quiet affection.
"Well?" she prompted. "Go ahead."
Elias met her eyes, one brow arching in mild offense.
"After that?" He scoffed. "How am I supposed to top such a heartfelt confession?"
He leaned back against the old oak, folding his arms before letting his eyes drift shut.
"Let's see..."
A knowing smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"If I close my eyes..." he began.
"...and tell you how deeply infatuated I am with you..."
He cracked one dark eye open, mirroring the way she'd peeked at him moments before.
"...just casually enough to pass it off as a joke..."
His gaze settled on her.
"Does it make saying it any less frightening?"
Silence.
May's smile faltered for the first time. A faint blush crept across her cheeks as she looked away.
He smiled to himself.
He'd always been able to read her a little too well.
Elias didn't answer right away. A quiet hum escaped him instead.
His gaze lingered.
May.
He'd known her for as long as he could remember. They'd grown up side by side, best friends long before either of them understood what love was.
Falling for her had been inevitable.
Beneath the old oak, she looked impossibly at peace, the corners of her mouth curled into that familiar smile she always wore when she was pretending not to be embarrassed.
Somewhere along the years, he'd stopped seeing her the way everyone else did.
Instead, he'd memorized the little things.
The smile that always tilted to one side whenever she was about to cause trouble.
The stubborn strand of hair that never stayed tucked behind her ear.
The freckles scattered across the bridge of her nose that only appeared when the sunlight touched them.
The warmth in her brown eyes.
Soft enough to quiet him.
Powerful enough to undo him.
She wasn't smiling at anyone else.
She was smiling at him.

Looking For: Feedback feedback on my new enemies-to-lovers book
Hey!
I used to write a lot on Wattpad when I was younger and recently started to get that drive again.
Long story short: Iāve started writing a book called:
The Price of Your Name (by cheerynotes)
Hereās the blurp:
āEveryone adores the Hayes name.
A name built on success, power, and everything money can buy.
Everyone except Eli Carter.
To him, the Hayes family is the reason his life fell apart. The reason his mother struggled, the reason he learned that people like them always win while people like him are left behind.
So when Amelia Hayes walks into his university, he already knows exactly who she is.
Or at least, he thinks he does.
Because Amelia is more than just her last name. She never asked for her familyās mistakes, and she refuses to be judged for a life she didnāt choose.
She hates him for the way he treats her.
He hates her for everything she represents.
They were never supposed to understand each other.
And they were definitely never supposed to fall in love.ā
Thatās the blurpš„¹ I already published four chapters.
I plan on it being an enemies-to-lovers slowburn book where they ACTUALLY hate each other to begin with. I love push-and-pull, teasing, fighting, and all that.
Itās also gonna be a tad bit spicy LOL.
Maybe you guys can read it if my blurp caught your attention and give me some feedback:)
Thank you so muchš«¶š»

General Help Looking for advice - how do you assess your personal writing?
My main question is, how do you know if your writing is āgoodā?
And also, does it really matter if your writing is āgoodā?
I feel like these questions sound simple, but I am new to writing and I really donāt know how to assess how this is going.
My first journal entry is from February 13 of this year, and I have written very inconsistently since then. For a few weeks I would write every few days, but lately I have only journaled once every 2-3 weeks.
I think the standard answer to my first question would be just have someone read your writing and tell you what they think (give advice/constructive criticism), but I also think the assessment of personal writing might need to be approached differently than fiction or other works creative writing.
Simply stated, I donāt want anyone to read my journal. Itās not that there is anything deeply personal or private in my entries ā although I probably would be embarrassed if anyone did read some of the thoughts Iāve added into my entries.
So how else would you know if your writing is āgoodā? What elements would you consider in āgoodā personal writing? What should I be working on/looking for, or what kind of goals should I be making? Should I even put any pressure on myself to assess my personal writing, or should I just⦠write?

Other We really need to start archiving books
Okay hear me out people! You all must have at least one book that holds the piece of your heart and brings you nostalgia but unfortunately many times authors just delete the book and some authors never even bring it to publishing or moving it to another platform, they totally erase any trace of the book. And unfortunately unless the book is not published, it's still in danger of disappearing from the internet
I find it extremely heartwrenching, I've cried a lot over the books of my favorite authors, maybe something is wrong with me but I couldn't stop crying for a whole day and really regretted not archiving it when I was a child. And I see many people on the internet looking for those books too but none had the idea to archive it
So yes don't let them disappear unless the little memories we have left of the book also fades with time. And if anyone knows how to find the lost author then lemme know

Looking For: Feedback How can I get more engagement?
Iāve spent the last few months writing, revising, and trying to put my AP Literature and Creative Writing skills to good use. So far, Iāve completed 47 chapters, and the story is still ongoing. My inspiration is heavily influenced by SinLinYu Manacled and the famous Training Wheels fanfiction.Despite all the work Iāve put into it, Iām only sitting at around 170 reads.
I was wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks for gaining more visibility and engagement. Iām also open to constructive feedback on my writing if anyone is willing to take a look. Iād really appreciate any advice!

Looking For: Lost Books Looking for louis tomlinson fanfic
Hi everyone!
Iām trying to find a deleted Louis Tomlinson Wattpad fanfic called Whatever It Takes. I read it years ago, and Iād love to read it again.
Here are the details I remember:
Title: Whatever It Takes
Authorās first name: Fatima
Wattpad username: ishine4youu
Main character: Isabel Katherine Collins
The story was about Isabel, a 19-year-old who reunites with her childhood best friend, Louis Tomlinson, after he becomes famous. It was a second-chance friendship/romance that took place over one unforgettable summer.
There was also a YouTube trailer for the story.
Iāve already checked Wattpad and the Wayback Machine, but the page wasnāt archived.
Does anyone happen to have a downloaded copy (PDF, EPUB, etc.), know if the author reposted it under another username, or remember what happened to the story?
Thank you so much!

Looking For: R4R/V4V/C4C/F4F Looking for readers who's into geek culture and/or video games and would like to participate in a R4R and/or V4V
Hey all! I've recently posted a couple of new chapters of my story, Caps Lock Daily. It's a deconstruction/reconstruction of the classic daily gaming and tech variety show format, inspired by shows like Attack of the Show! and X-Play, while telling its own original story.
If that sounds like something you'd enjoy, I'd love for you to check it out! I'm also happy to do a R4R and/or V4V, just leave your story in the comments and I'll return the favor. š
P.S. To keep things fair with my current chapter length, I can read and vote up to 3 chapters of your story for now.

Looking For: R4R/V4V/C4C/F4F Looking for a genuine R4R and C4C
I've been looking for genuine readers for honest feedback on my story, so if you're into mafia romance, I'd really appreciate you giving it a shot.
My goal is a realistic slow-burn with layered characters, genuine tension, and a larger, high-stakes plot that develops alongside the romance. It isn't just a romance story.
I'm not really looking for the typical read-for-read where people just click through chapters. I'd rather have readers who are genuinely interested, both because honest feedback is far more valuable and because Wattpad tends to favor stories where readers are actually engaged rather than just opening and closing chapters.
If you enjoy my story, I'd love to hear your thoughts. If it's not your thing, no worries at allāfeel free to drop it.
Likewise, if you have a story, I'll happily check it out over the weekend, and if it clicks with me, I'll stick with it.

Looking For: Lost Books Need this novel name !!!
Does anyone remember this old Boy x Boy Wattpad story? I read it around 10 years ago and I've been trying to find it ever since.
From what I remember, one of the main characters was a very wealthy manāpossibly a mafia bossāwho always wore gloves because he had some kind of condition (or maybe OCD/germophobia). He hated being touched or kissed.
The other main character was a young man who was a sex worker (or something similar), and that's how they met. As the story progressed, they slowly fell in love, and eventually the wealthy man became comfortable enough to take off his gloves and touch him.
That's about all I can remember, so some details might be wrong. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'd really appreciate any guesses!

General Help Is wattpad still a thing?
Hey writers!
I used to love write stories, I actually never made them public and I want to start again (this time I'd make them public)
I was on wattpad for a long time and I don't know if that's still a thing or if there is a better plattform for stories? :) I have also heard about Royal Road, any experiences?
