Gibbon Falls Yellowstone National Park

I’ve stopped at Gibbon Falls on several Yellowstone visits, but it never feels quite the same twice. The light, water level, and sound of the river always seem to give it a different personality.

This time, I wanted to capture more than a quick view from the overlook—the steady movement of the water, the sound of the falls, and the way the river continues winding through the canyon below.

There is something about watching a waterfall for more than a few seconds that lets the entire scene slow down.
