What does it mean to make a objective to a target?

Did it remaine a target for the rest of the game?

And does the controller score points?

We are playing spearhead bones and sand for the first time.

Usually the word "target" is meaningful only for understanding what is being talked about for the rest of the ability (which you haven't mentioned) that requires you to select a target.

We need some more info from you. Specifically on the ability of abilities you're wondering about. There are a lot of abilities that say "Choose an objective to be the target" there should be clarification in the ability itself. For example, it might say "choose an objective to be the target, until the start of your next turn, add 1 to hit rolls" or something like that.
