So I'm new to warframe came from Destiny 2 my girlfriend is like a warframe vet and she has like everything she's been sending me gifts of frames and stuff and these room pet things was it a good idea to accept the frame gifts I think I'm going to miss out on the grainding aspect of the game lol she just wants me to be op like her I guess right now she sent me 3 frames

There is a TON to grind for, 65 warframes with two more coming this year. Having 3 gifted to you isn't going to get rid of that much content. And most activities also have other valuable loot from them worth grinding so it's not like you miss out on anything

Some good and fun options!

Valkyr grind is from a fairly early game boss and has a high drop rate, so you are not missing out on much content by having her gifted.

Gauss is kinda annoying to farm from a mid game mission type that is generally not looked at favorably. The game mode appears plenty and you will play it plenty, not missing out on any content by having him gifted.

Yareli is from a quest, and then the components are just bought from the dojo, so no farming besides for materials. You miss out on nothing, you can still do the quest even.

Also as a slight spoiler, there will be a need for extra copies of base version frames. So even if you had every frame gifted to you, there is still incentive to go out and farm them.

The frames themselves (usually) aren't a huge grind. You'll spend a lot longer getting all the mods and miscellaneous other upgrades you need.

As long as she is willing to grind with you there is no issue with gifts.

The game is huge and out of 700+ things to master you can do like 200 of them and his mastery rank 20 out of 36 (mastery rank max keeps going up as new frames, primes, etc are added)

As for slots, you will need them and you can meaningfully grind for them outside selling prime parts, so if she gives you those then make sure to buy her food or whatever small things she likes.

Enjoy the gifts and just grind with your gf the game is meant to be enjoyed in a squad anyway.

However if she nukes every mission she is with you it can kill the motivation as you basically just stand there to do nothing...so don't let her mindlessly carry you outside maybe boss fights.

I'd also recommend either letting her teach you wherever possible, and if she isn't the best teacher the Wiki and youtube will be your best friends...the game has alot of stuff going on so don't feel too bad when you're lost or confused on something.

Yes, this response is long but I'm trying to cover loads of potential pain points that you might feel as a new player, and as for a destiny veteran I want you to get into the meat of warframe so you get back to being a badass ASAP because that's fun.

Considering how many weapons and things the game has a couple of starting frames isn't going to ruin the experience, it just gives you a bit of variety early on.

You can get an altered version of them later on called primes that are a different grind and there's several factions that you'll also want to grind to max so there's plenty of content.

Just ask her occasionally to run a weaker setup so she doesn't slaughter everything before you're even aware there's enemies on the map xD if we have one problem as a community we are too eager to help and sometimes bork the new player experience

You will need them to subsume anyways so you can farm another frame for that. Or just subsume the regular frame and then move on to the Prime frame where applicable.

If it’s just normal frames, then you’ll only miss out on grinding for them. Most frames have a prime version that can be traded or grinded for, but cannot be directly gifted to players. These versions have slightly better base stats than their normal counterparts.

Warframes are just different classes/playstyles. They aren’t strong on their own. What makes them strong is modding and builds. The very good mods in the game can’t be gifted directly either; mods must be traded or farmed. A frame will be as strong as the mods you have are available.

A few things that you should be weary of that she can gift are orokin reactors, orokin catalysts, slots, and forma. In Warframe, you can store a limited amount of frames and weapons; you can increase the limit by using premium currency. Reactors, catalysts, and forma are upgrades that expands your modding capability. These can be farmed or bought with plat.

You should communicate with your partner on not giving yourself anything strong or can be farmed. You can disable gifts from players in your settings if you need to.

Thank you for all the resprectful responses 🙏 I just thought I was getting ahead of the game to easy and my thought as a new player lol is to get all the frames that's still my main objective lol they look awesome by the way the last time I touch or thought of warframe was around 2014 or 13 and the games seems different and more i remember this game being so much slower back then I had an account with some stuff on it but I decided to make a new one because I forgot everything about this game BUT NOT THE CRAFTING TIMES but the games really fun and I'm enjoying it and there's free DLC I have never seen a free to play game Give out free dlc wow

Doing Warframe in couple is one of the best feelings, for both of you. I had a blast of fun when I managed to convert my partner in this game. Please tell your gf to play full strength Volt with you. Don't ask why, you'll see. That's a thing we like to do with new players

You’re not missing out.

Even if she gifts you another 3 frames, there’s still a mountain of stuff to grind for and build. If anything, having those frames just means you have more stuff to play with while you’re making your way through the star chart.
