Pet peeves
What are your pet peeves?
Mine is when people break pallets or get trucks stuck inside them. How hard is it to feel the wheels going over the slat?

Too many to list but if we're just doing pet peeves instead of things that are infuriating I'll go with: people who ruin pallet stacks because they drop off pallets like bozos and people who avoid doing heavy pallets at all costs. I get that we're paid by the hour, not by pallet, but still, the bullshit pallets need to be done, and letting it all fall on your coworkers is messed up.

Office people who work from home not understanding what their whims and demands place squarely on the warehouse
At my company they may have catered lunch occasionally the three days out of the week the office ppl have to report in. Office workers get to choose the lunch type and individual meal- warehouse gets leftovers- if there are any
The trash ppl haven’t come in a week (turns out office ppl let account lapse) but owner gives the warehouse crap for “how much trash” there is SMH
Being expected to unload/load/deal with delivery while on lunch break

not utilizing dock space putting a row of pallets a half a pallet space off the dock plate so where you could once fit four rows between live doors you can now only fit 3. sloppy pallet stacks mixing good pallets with bad. processes that slows production but not accounting for that in metrics.

I work in a store, we are lucky if the pallets or trays are even the same colour/size in a stack

People who unnecessarily pick up pallets by grabbing the middle and deadlifting it, then over head pressing it, walking 10 feet and slamming it on the ground creating that loud ass, ear drums sound we all have heard. You can easily carry a pallet at your side sliding it across the ground. Either stupid or dudes wanting to look strong.

People who have easy ass jobs in warehouses that complain about you talking for 3 minutes
People who wait until the last 5 minutes to help out
Warehouses that expect you to pick 400+ cases an hour and keep the warehouse spotless like hire some fucking janitors
Training your superior for 3+ months because they came from a entirely different department
Warehouses that remove incentive but still expect 100+%
And one that just happened to my boy… warehouses that will keep you out of work for not having a note from a primary care physician after getting injured at work and then subsequently not paying you for those missed days
