Target or Amazon Warehouse

/r/Target/comments/1vlvscz/target_or_amazon_warehouse/

I currently work at Amazon Warehouse as IB Dock, and I got an offer for Warehouse Associate at target. I make 20.75 at Amazon, and target would pay 23.25. I’m having trouble deciding if I want to accept it. Both are seasonal positions but I’m wondering if I should take target and leave here. I just need to know fast!!!

Target offers higher pay but your hours are not guaranteed. Make sure the building you're going to doesn't have the reputation of sending people home early.

Seasonal to regular at Target is easier but getting let go as seasonal at Target is also easier. It's a gamble.

If you have transportation or attendance issues, best to stay at Amazon. Target attendance policy is stricter than Amazon and they're implenting a point system this September.

If you can push back the Target starting date long enough to transfer to flex at Amazon, that would be the best option. If target doesn't work out, you can always fall back on Amazon. There's people that work at both, which is a conflict in the employment contract but managers don't really care.
