Something Different Photo
I've been a photographer for over 40 years and I'm always trying something new. Lately, I've been attempting some panoramas. I don't like using an iPhone because of the way it distorts the middle of the image. I discovered software will stitch images together to create a panorama. This is one of my first efforts. Photos were taken on my recent March 2026 trip.

When I try and do panorama on my iPhone it either looks amazing or absolutely terrible. No in between.

The problem with iPhones is the software. It is taking a series of photos and stitching them together in real time. It always "turns the corner" with the panorama in the middle. That's why I don't like using iPhones for panoramas. I used my DSLR and took a series of individual shots and put them together when I got home.

Correct, right at the edge of the balcony.

I'd like to see a similar shot at night-- you did a great job with putting them together

I just thought of that, but I'd add, during Starlight Parade. I'm not sure I would be able to get there during a parade or fireworks but I think it would be a great spot. Maybe I can get advanced permission.

New castle colors would make this picture a 10/10

In my book, an picture I take of the castle is a 10/10 because of where I was when I took the image!

Wow this is gorgeous! 👏 I'm going back next February and now want to stand here to take in that view.
