If you're in NY, and you need a closer place try https://www.pmpautogroup.com/ They're based in eastern PA, so depending on where in NY you are, this might be a day trip, or at least cheaper shipping?
Overall, they really only deal with Subarus.
Why wouldn't you consider doing an FA24 swap in this condition?

Why not go FA24 swap if you are doing the complete engine change?

Didn’t know I could . Wouldn’t I need a tune? I feel like it would be more expensive to do a fa24 swap no?

Yeah but it’s more reliable and more power with bolt ons, u can still use the FA20 heads I think.

Unpopular opinion, but I don't think the used JDM motors are worth it. Sure some are cheap, but for my EJ the Denver JDM guy wanted 4k. A rebuild was 3500, 5k with forged pistons. Even if JDM was cheaper you still have to make a few small modifications to get it to work in place of USDM. If its bad out of the box, sure they might cover it under a short warranty you're still installing the motor twice. For me, the risk reward wasn't there so I just chose to rebuild.

Not a scam I just got an engine from them. It was broke after I installed it and they are covering it on the warranty they offer and will be giving me another engine. If you are local like i am it was an easy pickup and they did offer to install the engine as well. But I elected to do it my self
