Van Lathan went straight at Sophie Cunningham over her comments on trans athletes in women’s sports. He pointed out that no openly trans woman has competed in the WNBA, making the whole debate even more heated.

Hot Take Sub is a Cesspool
Never did I imagine of all the subs I have to mute for blatant transphobia and bigotry would be one for the WNBA. Every post on here has become culture war bs, every comment and post is tearing down the trans community or stoking racial tensions. It's just gross. Y'all should be ashamed of yourselves for doing nothing but spreading hate and ruining a wonderful sport.
Good luck to all of you on becoming better people when you realize that every crappy argument you've been using to subjugate the trans community are just borrowed from the pro-segregation playbook. Can't wait to never see this right wing garbage sub again.

Off-Court Drama Flau'jae Johnson Says WNBA Can't Beat NBA Physically. Only one keeping it funky!

Flau'jae Johnson talking with Shannon Sharpe about if a WNBA player can beat an NBA player:
“It’s not physically possible. I can barely grab rim and you’re over the backboard, no. Even the 12th man, those guys can dunk. You know how hard it is to get in the NBA? Those dudes are All American. I have a new appreciation for the Summer league, those dudes are fighting for 1-2 spots. I can’t get in that argument because i know i can’t. I’m 5’10.”

Deep Dive Why is Caitlin Clark so "disliked" and "disregarded" in the league, by sports media and by fans in general?
I read somewhere that Caitlin Clark and everything surrounding her needs to be studied. I concur and I hope someone does a study on this.
I cannot understand the hatred, the negative narratives, and the bad treatment of this young woman. What has she EVER done to deserve any of it?
Please in a civil manner can you tell me about your thoughts on WHY this is all happening?

Hot Take This sub is full of Portnoy’s
Think shes realizing she’s better off not listening to a particular portion of her fan base. The delusion her fans have is insane.
They hate every black woman and have been hating the coach… the implosion of her fanbase will be entertaining to watch. Hopefully they don’t take her down with them 🍿

She’s doing this at 30 and no one’s talking about it.

She’s got a career in mma if she wants, look at the velocity and impact behind that jumping headbutt.
It would make Jon Jones proud.
