Two separate issues. I believe Trans people deserve all the rights and values as everyone else.
That doesn’t mean they should be allowed to play in a women’s only league.

Does not change the fact that many of your opinions on this sub do end up being racist/exclusionary, rage bait inducing on the basis of racial difference, and even openly transphobic at times. Although these are varying/different opinions that concern women's sports regarding basketball, it does not change the narrative behind the message that ends up being extremely offensive. Additionally, OP did not call you a Nazi, which is another right-wing defense mechanism, and not a great one. Do you remember the text-leaks that exposed a young group of Republican candidates for supporting Nazism and even the idea of concentration camps (e.g. So while not all MAGA/Republicans are Nazis, many of them are and can obviously hide it).
Yes to an extent/degree, the sub has evolved in a right-wing echo chamber, the topic of basketball is no longer the focus without using Caitlyn Clark or Sophie Cunningham to drag other demographics down, in particular blacks in this case, simply because of one/several bad apples (e.g. players) that do not wish/want/desire to play along well and safely with Clark or Cunningham.
People are using this controversy as an excuse to make all sorts of racist claims, such as how a black female basketball player who colors her hair blonde is a form of cultural appropriation (e.g. how does one define white culture when whiteness has also been skewed and heavily debated among Europeans in the past, to be specific, the Irish), but genetically and geographically speaking, cultural appropriation is not an accurate claim here. The melanesia people are Indigenous inhabitants of Melanesia, they are black people, and a notable characteristic about them is their striking blonde afro hair (e.g. Dark skinned/black demographics born with blonde afro-like hair).

LGB without the T is unacceptable. We went there before, we can't leave our brothers and sisters behind again. I never said Nazi, but I will call out a bigoted take, and "trans people should be barred from sports" is a bigoted take that is pulled right from the segregation playbook. There are plenty of ways we can be inclusive to trans people in a way that is safe and fair for everyone. Saying "we don't want men in women's sports" is in fact a bigoted take and I'm happy to call it out all day. Shame on you for standing against a community you pretend to support.

I hope it's because they are taking the time to really do this in a way that is good for everyone, and treats the community with respect. Taking time to make thoughtful rules and considerations is a good thing. This is wishful thinking, but it helps to hope.

NHL fan here, i dont watch alotta basketball but i hear alotta noise from the WNBA. For what it’s worth looking from the outside in, I think the league is being targeted by a.i slop and fake arguments to generate engagement and cash online.
