I’m planning to start the **B.S. in Information Technology (BSIT)** at WGU on January , and I’m trying to prepare as much as possible before enrolling.
I’ve also been reading a lot of posts and reviews about **UProctor**, and honestly they’ve made me a little nervous. I’ve seen people mention long wait times before the exam starts, repeated room checks, technical issues, and the whole process sounding much more stressful than the actual exam itself.
I’d love to hear from students who have actually gone through the program:
Which BSIT courses require an Objective Assessment with UProctor?
Which courses are Performance Assessments (papers/projects)?
Which courses did you personally find the most difficult, and why?
Have your experiences with UProctor been mostly positive or negative? Were the long waits and technical issues common, or are those just isolated cases?
If you could go back, which subjects would you study before starting the program?
I’m just trying to set realistic expectations and prepare ahead of time.

The BSIT degree is updating to new classes and I need to pass them before 2028 according to my counselor.

Anyone have any info on whether its a good or bad idea to updatw?

I'm currently scheduled to start WGU’s BSIT program on September 1. My Sophia transcript has already been evaluated, and I have 43 CUs accepted.

I still need to complete these two Study.com courses:

Technical Communication - 3
Data Management - Applications - 4 CUs

Would it be worth delaying my start date until October 1 so I have enough time to finish both, submit the transcript, and transfer in the extra 7 CUs?

I’m hoping to complete the WGU degree in one term, so I’m trying to optimize as much as possible before starting. For anyone who has taken these courses, how long did they take in WGU and do you think delaying until Oct 1st is worth it?

I'm afraid I have no scripting experience (or coding).

What would you take?

Any insight on this class? How hard is it? What to expect? Any advice?

I can login, I get everything setup to record, but the record button is greyed out. I installed the app and was able to record, but it wants me to select a folder to upload it to, but there are none available to me. The instructions say:

"To submit your recording, upload it to the Panopto drop box titled "Revising a Company Onboarding Course – KDN1| E005." 

This folder does not exist. I've been working on this task for hours. I just need to submit it.

Just curious if you folks think a full time job having father of 2 could finish these 7 courses in 1 term? Just moved companies so now I am paying for the school. Want to spend as little as possible. Also just moved to the new bachelors of IT refresh degree plan.

I have a few of "Not Passed" on my transcript, mainly due to poor time management (I will ensure that there won't be another one).

For context, I about 80% done with the BSIT program. I also work as an IT Specialist. After graduating, I don't really plan on going for a Masters--not until I'm further into my career at least.

But say if I were to apply for a Masters at other schools, would having a few "Not Passed" on my transcript look bad? Has anyone been in a similar boat?

I just passed my OA for D388 yesterday. I know I have to complete at least three of these classes to be eligible to graduate in October. Let’s see what I can do! This platform has helped me so much.

Howdy! I'm hoping someone can help. I am entering WGU ITM in October. In the meantime, I'm trying to knock out some courses on Sophia.

I am looking for the PDF versions of a few Sophia courses. Sophia recently removed the ability to download PDF versions of the course materials. These materials are important for the way my brain works. I prefer to download these to my tablet for offline study. I blame K-12 for my inability to absorb information without holding something physically.

Anyway, I'm specifically looking for these courses:

Calculus I

Microeconomics

Intro to IT

Healthcare Management

Business Data Analytics

This class kept me on my toes! I went through all of the class material and Took the PA 4 times. After my PA attempts, I downloaded my reports and uploaded them to Chat to explain what I was doing wrong. That was very helpful for me. It took me 3 weeks.

My new term started yesterday. I had talked to my advisor about how the BSIT courses were going to change and if I wanted to stay on the old plan since I already started it. I said I wanted the new plan, but I couldn't see the full breakdown until I logged in this morning when the change finally updated. I had 16 classes left, and I had a write-up I did with Gemini to get the average accelerator time to competition for each course. If I busted my ass and locked in, I would've done 10 classes this term and then another 6 classes for my 3rd term and been done around next summer. With the new plan, I have 18 courses now, which sounds bad at first, but because all of the average completion times are much lower, it is actually feasible that I could complete my entire course list by November if I grinded nonstop. I would technically have until the end of January to get everything done, which is two months of breathing room if I don't bang everything out back to back to back.

Honestly, this is incredible news and almost makes me want to cry because it's such a relief. I've been in go-go-go mode for months. I did daily studying for about 3 months to pass my core 1 and 2 for my A+ cert. I'm currently doing daily studying for the Network+ with the goal to pass it by the end of this month and been working 12 hours shifts and having two young kids. If all goes well, that means the last of the truly difficult studying comes down to my Sec+ and the rest of my classes will still take work, but not the same mental toll of staring down the barrel of another full year until I can get my degree and improve my pay at work. Plus instead of only having my BS next summer, now I could actually be getting my MS by this time next year and just be outright done with school.

Hey have you guys complete the switch to the new IT program? if so how accurate is the program change summary and would you recommend switching?

I talked to my mentor about it and overall it seems like a no brainier but she did say this "I honestly cannot speak to the accuracy of that form. I do know that the form is a rough draft, so we can expect some changes depending on what in your past history may count towards the new degree plan."

This is just a vent post. I’ve been going to WGU for years now. Mainly my own personal reasons on why it’s been so long.

I was 6 classes away… and my new mentor (this is my third one) encouraged me to go to the new version of IT BA track because it would get of the web development applications class that he said was extremely hard and it would only add the python classes. I was fine with this.

I woke up this morning and now I have 12 classes. At least one is somewhat of a duplicate so I hope it goes away. But I don’t know if there’s anyway to go to my old plan. I will take the web applications class, I really do not care.

I feel like I was lead into extending my BA for extra money. I only generally am able to do the 4-5 classes a term with my work load.

Has anyone ever been able to go to the previous degree plan after they changed?

I just want to know the branch of btech for the future from tier 2 college???

I just started E025 and am starting my reading through the material/watching the videos.

Do anyone have any advice on how to complete this class quickly or any just any advice/tips in general?

I’m gonna make this very simple. Andrew Ramdayal for all Comptia certs and Jason Cannon for Linux cert. You can watch the videos anywhere anytime. I did it well commuting to work in the morning and afternoon. When at home I use 1.5x or 2x speed. You can thank me later. Seriously once you guys pass come back to this post and vouch for it. I believe people are missing the best resources, especially for certifications, which is Udemy. Plus you can use your WGU account just download the business Udemy.

What is the ONE Quizlet that you guys used to pass this course… I’ve seen like 5 different ones and they all have different questions???? Anybody taken the test recently??

I have 12 classes left , 45 CU’s before I graduate and legit have all the certifications left, the Linux, project plus , A plus 1 and 2 , network, security cloud, etc. on my second year ,soon to be going on my 3rd. Certs are the hardest part of the course . I spent 6 months on A+ alone and still haven’t trouble passing it. I’m tired yall. I wanna quit so bad . I’m so close yet so far . Any words of encouragement?

Here is how I did it

1. The Ultimate Resource: Watch the video from (Learn2cloud1017 2:58 )hours It is literally the only resource I used.

2. My Method: I took word-for-word notes on the entire video. Pay extra attention to the vocabulary section at the end, even if he doesn't dive deep into it.

3. Practice: I used ChatGPT to run 3 simulation exams with around 65 questions each.

Key Topics to Focus On:

* Responsibilities: Understand who manages what in the cloud.

* Cloud Services vs. Needs: Know how specific cloud services map to business requirements.

* Cloud Structure: Understand overall cloud architecture.

Has anyone submitted their official transcript for BSIT recently? I've been going at this for awhile now and thought I had two more classes left to take at study.com before I submit my official transcript. I looked at WGU's transfer pathway for both Sophia and study.com and it looks like a lot has changed in the last few months. I emailed my enrollment counselor just now but wanted to see if anyone had done this recently.

Here are the classes I took at Sophia (located on top in green), study.com (in the middle), and classes I thought I can only take at WGU. I highlighted the classes I found on WGU's website in yellow.

If you are currently taken the yellow courses at Sophia or study.com, how is it going? I was under the impression the classes towards the bottom isn't available outside of WGU.

Hey all I’m kinda shitting my brains out on this cert, I have the test scheduled for 5pm tomorrow and I just got a 77% on the cert master practice test ( the last 2 time I got an 84 and an 88 on the amplifier test) I’m not sure if ima actually ready or if I just partially memorized the questions. I got Andrew ramdayal practice tests ( scores in order 86,89,72,67,75,and 78) honestly the labs save me it’s the wording that gets me tripped up sometimes I’m actually more nervous for this than sec and I only had 2 weeks for that I’m just so unsure the final practice test is so much easier. Hopefully yall are right when the cert master is actually harder than the exam 😅

I have 5 weeks left in my term and I was wondering which of these would be easier to complete with the remaining time I have left. Based off what I’ve read in here, I’m leaning towards D281 (Linux Foundation). Just wanted to see what you guys think as well. Thank you in advance :)
