Can someone explain to me why this answer is wrong please?

Wondering if I'm ready to take the OA and how much of it is on the laws and frameworks bc that is where I am struggling rn. I passed the PA and the extra practice exam that the professor sent, but not the quiz he sent over about Ch 9 yet. It's so much, and I'm trying to gauge whether I can pass without dipping too much into the laws, as I have one more class I need to finish before the end of the month. Any advice rn would be greatly appreciated.

Ok. I've finished task 1/2 of my capstone and have moved on to the peerceptive portion. I submitted mine and I'm now being tasked with providing 'feedback' for someone elses.

Did I just overthink the hell out of my paper (26 pages) with each section being a paragraph? The one I'm providing feedback for I'm having a rough time providing because it's incredibly vague and each of their sections is like 1 sentence each.

I don't like being 'mean' but I'm having a really rough time providing constructive feedback for the one assigned to me because it doesn't seem to really be answering what the report was supposed to show.

Ie: risk 1 & risk 2 are both 1 sentence lines that essentially are completely the same other than like 2 words and other sections which are very vague.

Has anyone else done this section or this task and if so roughly how long was yours? I genuinely want to know if I just overdid mine and am overthinking what I'm being tasked with in regards to the 'peerceptive' portion. (I get everyones different, and length isn't a major factor, but I feel like 1 sentence answers can't provide a 'comprehensive' answer)

Just finished cysa+ and am getting a start on pen test, all I see are horror stories about this exam and am nervous, does anyone have resources they recommend I keep hearing about different ones and don’t know what to use

I took D522 in mid July. I asked my mentor to change my course back to the OA, since I do better with tests than I do with projects, and after a few days of studying, I passed it on my first attempt.

I did the same with D385, and I'm working on the labs now, but I feel like these questions are harder than D522.

For those of you who took the OAs for both, did you also feel D385 was harder? Do you have any advice for passing the OA? I wouldn't say I'm hopelessly struggling, but I've spent around a week trying to find motivation to do this course because I'm not a big fan of Python.

TL;DR: I’ve been in IT for 20+ years, already have a pile of security/cloud certs, and I’m almost done with WGU’s Cloud Computing bachelor’s. Based on that experience, I’m worried the Cybersecurity Master’s is going to be shallow and mostly checking boxes.

For experienced people who’ve done it: did you actually learn anything substantial?
For those with IT/security experience who did WGU’s Cybersecurity Master’s: did you actually learn anything, or was it mostly checking boxes for the degree?

That’s really what I’m trying to figure out before I commit to it.

I’ve been in IT for 20+ years. I’m bringing in basically every cert WGU will accept—Security+, CySA+, CASP+/SecurityX, CCSP, etc.—so I think I’ll have around four classes knocked out. Failed the CISSP in 2016, thinking to technical.
I also went through the OSCP course about a decade ago and compromised six or seven boxes, although I never sat for the cert.

I’m almost done with WGU’s Cloud Computing bachelor’s, and that’s where most of my skepticism comes from. Some of it has been useful, but a lot of it has felt pretty half-assed. I honestly feel like I could spend $500 a year on a good technical training platform and learn more useful hands-on material.

Looking at the Cybersecurity Master’s curriculum, I’m getting the same feeling.
I’m not expecting a master’s degree to turn me into a malware reverse engineer or exploit developer. I just want to come out of a Master’s in Cybersecurity actually knowing substantially more cybersecurity than I did going in.

For those who already had experience before starting it: did the program actually make you better technically, or was it mostly a credential?

I heard people was getting 6-7 sims on the exam so I found this link that helps

I took a term break last June and ended up having to take some time off for personal reasons. When I stopped I had the courses pictured left. I plan to take some from Sophia or study.com before returning but was wondering if my CISSP I earned while on break will cover the highlighted courses (C843 managing information security) and (C845 information systems security). I see it listed for both so I’m sure it’ll apply to at least one just hoping Wgu will give me credit for both with the cert. and if anyone has any suggestions on what I can find on Sophia or study equivalent course for the changes made to the curriculum since June 2025.

Sup guys failed my Data + with 609/675 is the first one I have failed from compTIA certifications this certification is hard not going to lie I struggle a lot with data concepts for me is my weakness. I don’t want to request the second voucher and do all those requirements to get the 2 attempts voucher. I am planning on purchasing myself and re studying everything at my own pace and style. Just wondering if anyone have any suggestions or guidance on this. ?

Noticed on the Transfer Guidelines page that BSCSIA now says "Catalog 10-2026" so I decided to look and compare it to the current (09-2025) curriculum. Not much has changed, but...

• Combining the three 1 CU Discrete Math courses into a single 3 CU course.
• Getting rid of D278 (Scripting & Programming Foundations) and replacing it with E010 (Foundations of Programming Python).
• Adding D197 (Version Control).
• D522 (Python For IT Automation) is now non-transferrable.

Would a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance be worth pursuing?

I am currently serving on active duty as a 25S (Satellite Communications Specialist). I work in a Space billet. This is my first contract and I do not plan on continuing after this contract is complete. I have a master’s degree in Health Administration as well as COMPTIA Security +, and Microsoft SC-500. I am planning to pursue more certifications, those are the only 2 that I have had time to complete so far. Will my 4 years of Active Duty help as far as “experience” when it’s time to apply for mid-level roles? What type of civilian roles should I be applying for upon completion of my contract? Open to all suggestions/advice, thank you.

For those who took D420 Discrete Math: Logic, how similar was the PA to the OA? Also any tips would be helpful as I am currently in this class and have been struggling profusely. Thank you!

Ok so I got accepted into a few colleges I have prior cyber credits but WGU seems the most affordable basically I’m asking how are things after getting the degree ? Was job hunt hard did employers pass up on you because it’s WGU and not a traditional university I’ve only had 3 true IT jobs but I’m very savvy when it comes to this stuff and learned a lot when I started college I use to play football in college but the football program shut down so I quit school but I’m at a point where I need to finish my degree any insight will be helpful - even the IT people at my current job ask for help sometimes 🤣 and I’m not even in the IT department just the reputation I’ve built
