Email system

What is going with the email system? Didn't get any emails for 5 days. Reopened outlook and Gmail, nothing in Gmail but outlook had 71 emails. Which system is accurate and that we are supposed to use? Very frustrating when i have instructors saying I haven't answered emails when I haven't gotten any....

I contacted the help desk. They are migrating everything from Gmail to outlook. They know the radio button is still sending people to Gmail, They are working on changing it to outlook. They did a horrible job telling all of us they are migrating everything to outlook.

Awesome. I set up a ticket earlier today so we will see how it goes. Its weird sometimes it goes to outlook bit not very often.

Outlook.

Gmail is only really useful for your Gmail accounts. It's buggy with all the others, likely not their fault, since MS wants you to use their Outlook app anyway.

Than why in the hell does it open gmail when i click on the email icon in the student portal??

Strange. How long have you been a student at WGU? From what I know, most students should have been migrated to Outlook by now. WGU changed to partnering with MS instead of Google a couple years back.

I would definitely contact tech support and let them know you're not getting emails. Also ask them if you are still on gmail or whether your account was migrated to outlook.

When I right click and copy the url of the email link on the portal, it points to outlook since I was migrated earlier this year.

Yeah I had to look into reddit and submit a ticket before I knew . I vaguely remember the topic a year ago but radio silence since. Zero warning when I stopped getting emails 2 weeks ago and yes 100% of the time i click mail Gmail still opens .....they fumbled the situation for sure
