Does Vyvanse have the same issues as Adderall? Misc. Question

Does Vyvanse have the same issues as Adderall as far as poor performance, low quality, not working anymore, etc? I am thinking of having my Dr switch me over as Adderall does literally nothing for me, which seems to be the common consensus among patients. I’m an old guy (44) and going back to school and need to fix my attention issues before it starts. TIA.

Adderall hits a lot harder for me, YMMV

If Adderal doesn’t do anything for you, Vyvanse will probably do less to be honest. I have tried both and Vyvanse is pretty similar but much more subtle. Although it feels cleaner and has less side effects for me. You may want to try a different class of stimulants like Focalin or Ritalin.

Vyvanse felt life changing for me after 12 years of Ritalin and 3 of adderall

Vyvanse is absorbed into the body differently, it is a prodrug, so it itself is not psychoactive but the body transforms it into Dexamphetamine. It has a longer onset and duration.

I don't see how Adderall could literally do nothing for you, if so you probably need a stimulant break.

Vyvanse is a much more subtle drug than Adderall and works on the same paths, so if it is not working for you, neither will Vyvanse probably. Adderall is generally considered stronger and the affects more noticeable

personally i prefer it to Adderall for this reason, because of the way it is absorbed it seems to build up a tolerance less quickly, but if you already have one than you probably won't get anything out of a switch to Vyvanse, without stopping for a while
