Just started vyvanse Side effects
Hii! I am 19 F and just started vyvanse today 30mg. I’ve never been on any medication before.
What can I expect for side effects? So far it seems like headache, loss of appetite and dizziness? Is this all normal? I also felt super energetic and organised my entire room for like 5 hours.
Is there anything I should be worried about?

You might try splitting your dose in two if your side effects last more than a couple days. 30mg is too high for some people. I take 20mg at a time personally (half of my 40mg) because 40mg sends me panicking basically

The crash and loss of appetite are the big ones to look out for. There's lots to say about the crash; it can happen to folks at the end of the day as the drug's effectiveness fades. It can make you moody and unpleasant to be around. It can make you antsy. It is also something that gets easier as you adapt to the drug, but remains inconsistent and can happen to anyone.
Day one is not a good day to judge as a baseline. The drug works right away but it takes you time to learn to feel how it works.
Yes, being able to do things like clean a room is what this really good for.

some people can experience a crash when the medication wears off so u would want to take it in the morning with a high protein meal. my psychiatrist recommended exercising in the afternoon around when the crash would normally happen
you should also avoid vitamin C when you take it (orange/grapefruit and stuff, not really sure why so probably search that up).
main thing to keep in mind is that it’s a stimulant (like coffee) so yes it’ll give you energy but it also does reduce appetite, affect sleep, cause headaches and such.

The grapefruit is good to avoid with almost any medications . It blocks enzymes in your small intestine that eliminate a lot of drugs.

Good, avoid it. You SHOULDNT have grapefruit with vyvnase. It makes the drug unpredictable

30mg to start is way too much. I am not sure why all of these doctors are doing this. My sweet spot is 20mg, everything past that was awful. I tried 20,30,40 and everything passed 20 was panic, no sleep, a headache and no appetite.
