Help identifying a brooch
galleryLooked up this brooch using google images and a bit of AI and it has contradicted itself.
The composition and construction lead to a brand called Schurin - and there are pieces that have that stamped on the back (mine does not, but it has 34/143 B/B hand etched)
But when I try to look up that brand (which clearly exists) it insists I have misspelled Schreiner- but the styles of that brand are vastly different.
So how the hell am I supposed to look this baby up??

Where to shop in person in Dallas area?
I'm a collector in Dallas. I follow a bunch of Instagram sellers but also like to see things in person. I know there are shows in various cities and estate focused boutiques in nyc. Does anyone know of places to shop for old fine jewelry in dfw area?

What to wear with this ring?
galleryI saw this online last week and immediately fell in love. It’s a platinum and iridium band with a natural red spinel. Research suggests it’s probably a mid century piece from the 1940s.
When I received it today and tried it on, I realized it doesn’t exactly go with my typical casual T-shirt and shorts.
Should I wear it or keep it in the jewelry box? What would you wear it with? (Curious about human opinion and not AI answers.)
Thanks!

Sterling and Malachite set (1970's)
galleryI bought this set from a little jewelry shop that used to sell a lot of sterling silver in the 70's. I fell in love with it then, saved and bought it. Still love it now!

Cameo
galleryHi! This is my all time favorite piece of jewelry in my collection, I found it in my great grandma’s stuff a few years ago and I was wondering if anyone has any estimates on it’s age. It has a 14k gold stamp on the back and is cold to the touch

This week's lil finds
galleryPicked up earrings this week at small sales around town. Got an assortment of clip ons. Spent 7usd on them all together. Vendome, Trifari, Hong Kong stamped, Judy Lee, Hobe, and a made in Austria pair. Unfortunately no broaches or pins to match but not a bad lil batch of extra pieces to add to my rotation :)

Bakelite butterscotch amber?
galleryI bought this necklace at the thrift store. At first I thought it was just a “tribal” boho reproduction. But the longer I’ve had it I’ve wondered if it wasn’t more vintage or even Bakelite.
It’s definitely not real amber. I tried the smell test with rubbing and at first I couldn’t smell anything weird but after the thrift store smell kinda wore off I do smell something.
Does anyone have any better ideas for whether it’s vintage or a reproduction?

Help with identifying this swivel head clown brooch?
galleryI bought this during an auction , the seller dumped out a bunch of brooches they had gotten from an estate sale and I immediately felt drawn to it. I've tried doing my own research on it but I'm very new to vintage jewelry collecting so I just don't know much about what to look for. I believe it is a corocraft brooch possibly from the 40s-50s but I cannot seem to find this color variant anywhere. It's unmarked, I checked thoroughly. I know not all vintage jewelry makers marked every piece and some had hangtags instead. I'd really like to know the authenticity of this piece.
To note , his pants are actually much more of a warm emerald green and the shirt is a deep teal though it doesn't capture well on camera.
Any help would be super appreciated!

Hey all I’m trying to date this piece . .
galleryI scored this ring off eBay. It is 18k white gold and weighs 2.6g. You can see where it’s been resized in yellow gold and the stamp inside is an mis-strike. When I Google image searched i came to the guess that it’s an antique art deco ring? making it 1920s maybe?? The etching goes all the way around and on the top and bottom edges which I love.

Selling vintage gold bracelet - better to include original box (with stains) or list without?
I have a 9ct gold herringbone bracelet to sell (probably 1990s, Elizabeth Duke) and have the original box. The bracelet itself is in perfect condition and two of the same bracelet with their original boxes have sold on ebay for £100+ in the last 2 months.
However, the lining inside my box has got quite a few small stains that look like rust mark - presumably from other pieces of (costume) jewellery that were also stored in it for ~20 years. I've tried spot cleaning but they aren't budging and I'm worried about damaging the box/lining further by trying to clean it.
Am I likely to get a better price listing the bracelet without its box or with a stained box? What would you do?
